For your information, my xperia died, he doesn't boot anymore, if I plug in the powercable he don't charge, he boot but falls out directly after, so he is stuch booting. downgraded it to kitkat but still does the same problem (If I connect with USB I can still flash a rom with sony flashtool)
I think the battery is dead, I'm going to try to change the battery, ordered it online but must wait 3 weeks to receive it.
If anyone has a solution or don't think it's the battery please tell me, I want to fix this problem.

can someone please help I would be very grateful for you time please take your time to read my post as full as possible
thanks in advance, I NEED HELP FAST, FAST, FAST!!!!!!
Download the Sony update tool click update phone it might say you have the latest version ,click restore phone
Aside from what suggested by juDGEY2k10 above (which should work), did you also check if your charger is working properly?
Try charging it with different usb source (...or another Z's charger if you can find one) with stable and reliable output (~ 1,500mA), let it charged for half an hour then see if you can turn on your phone. Please be reminder that the usb ports of some laptops may fail to charge since their power output may not be stable and sufficient enough.
Sounds very much like what happened with my first Nexus 4. Odds are the battery has decided to completely discharge itself to the point where nothing can revive it. How it happened for you, I've no clue, but the only remedy that can work is simply sending it in for replacement/repair, since you've already tried everything else.
i suggest changing another power source or charger. It does look like its out of juice and not able to to power on.
Maybe use your computer USB with the different cables to single out the problem.
do note that the phone needs about 5% battery to power up. So give it some time, maybe 30 mins to 45 mins and try to power it on again.

Hi guys, I got an Xperia Z of one of my friends to try to boot it up, same boat as OP, black screen, red led, not recognized by pc (no fastboot, no adb shell, no FlashTool).
I tryed to charge also with my Motorola USB cable, no way.
Can we only send back to official assistance?
Try to dissconnect the batery then reconnect it, put it on charge and after a few minutes try to turn it on.
I hope it helps.
One thing to check: does the led come on when plugged in, then disappear when unplugged? If so its probably that the battery isnt charging. If the led stays on (red or other color) for some time after unplugging than it may be something else, the phone is holding power but not booting.
Youve tried hard resetting /shutting down I presume?
This is why I hate phones with sealed batteries, it was almost a dealbreaker in buying this but i gave it a go.
If its the battery and you dont have warranty or insurance (or its too expensive) you can replace it yourself with a little time and research.
I have the same issue, it's because the battery isn't able to hold a charge. This happened to me the day after the recent 4.2 update, I have yet to figure out how to get a warranty replacement as there are no sony stores where I live. However, it turned on briefly when I pressed the volume up and power button together. I saw that the battery was at 1%, I put it on standby to conserve battery but it just won't take a charge.
Same issue here with a family members phone, they want to give it to a friend but can't yet because it isn't working.
They got a new phone and left the Z just sitting on a desk. It eventually discharged but now they can't get it going.
I'm trying to fix it for them.
Red LED, no boot, connect to charger and just get a solid red LED. See how it goes I guess. Can't get it to show up when connecting to PC at this stage. Will try with the official Sony tool though.

HI,any update???
I have the same issue too...
I read.somewhere in other thread that putting in the usb then press the volume and volume up for 8 swcond, wait for an hour then try restarting.would work.
This had happen to me twice already, and the only remedy seems sending it to sony. Where they would charge it. But it took weeks though.

Did you go to a Sony store or service provider retail store?
I have a very strange problem with my Xperia LT30p. It has been a while it is not shown in computer when I connect with USB neither it charges from computer. Interestingly phone has no problem with UTG. It works perfectly. It does one peculiar thing with wall charger. It doesn't always charge with wall charger. After few minute of connecting with wall charger, it charges sometime. But when phone is switched off, and connected to wall charger, it immediately showing SONY logo, led is on for about a second or more then it restarts, shows SONY logo and charge it normally. After this, if phone is turn on, it continues charging with no issue. This happens with other computer charger/data cable (tried samsung, HTC, nokia & sony)
After this problem has arise, battery drains very fast. Battery goes from 100% to 50% in 6-7 hours without touching it for a second with all background apps frozen with Greenify. Previously it only went around 85-90%. I tried volume UP+power on, didn't help. Then I tired Factory data reset from setting>backup&reset>factory data reset. Now after factory data reset, phone no longer is rooted and battery drains more faster. I can't do clean installation of OS from Sony Update Service as it is not detected at all in computer whether phone is turn on or off. Neither it is shown in device manger in computer in unknown device.

Android 4.1.2 stock Rom
No root (phone was rooted when the problem first arise)
No Bootloader Unlocked
It happened just suddenly. I was travelling long so whole day I was listening music from walkman app. then it was about 65% charge when i went to sleep, morning I woke up to see the phone, it was dead with full battery discharge.
I recently bought a used xperia z and have some strange problems with it.
I cant get it to connect to my computers. Ive got 2 that dont detect it but have no issues connecting my old xperia ray, so drivers are installed.
I cant charge the phone unless it drains completely. If i try to charge it while its on it will recognize the charge for an instant then not charge. If its off then itll show the battery icon and all looks normal, but will actually discharge, then charge.
Flashtool wont recognize it at all. No matter what i try, cant get it to connect.
Ive seatched and cant find any help. Im hoping ive missed something.
Thanks in advance!

Bro !! Many of us has this problem. I'm among them. First battery doesnot charge ( charges for 1 second and then shows not charging ) . After some time when battery drains completely it will not boot and not charges. At last u need to connect to charger to boot ur mobile. As soon as you'll remove charger ur device shut's down. It's neither battery problem , nor software and nor hardware problem. It's a charging bug .
Search : [HARDWARE FIX] Xperia Z not charging or booting
I'm with semi bricked device (charging bug) for more than 2 months and there is no effective solution yet .

I ordered a new battery anyway, it was cheap enough so why not... Anyway when it comes in ill try it out and report back. The problem has to lie somehwere, either mainboard or battery.

If your phone is not getting recognised in your pc... Try changing usb connectivity to MSC or MTP mode... I think maybe MSC mode will get connected to your pc thats ur sd Card only.. Try it and leme know
Your phone, like mine has a defective usb port. At least that is my guess from these symptoms.
replacing the port is difficult and expensive because it is soldered to the main board.
I got myself a dock for charging and make my connections to my computer via WIFI.
Hey gyzz plzz help me i have bricked mine xperia z C6602
How i bricked:-
I was trying to root my phone xz (c6602) using one click root method but not got root
then i unlocked my bootloader using flashtool
then flashed this kernel for flashing super su zip for root over 4.4.4 c6602 in 10% battery :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/cwm-based-recovery-6-0-4-6-root-xperia-t2167381
then mine screen is not turning onn even when i plug the usb for charging only red led has turned onn ..No light on screen
when i unplugged the charger after 1 hour red led was blinking also after removing charger..
then i tried force shut down method (power+vol up) it gone fully off ..
then i decided to flash stock 4.4.4 ftf using flashtool ..
when i was trying to connect my phone in flashmode (usb+vol down) to computer...the red led is blinking 3 times only it means no battery so the phone didnt connected to pc coz of no battery
and we all know Battery is non removable
plzzzzzzz plzzzz plzzzzzzz help me i am stuck on this since 10 days tried all things to charge the battery even charged full night but only red led is blinking..
i am too worried help me plzz .. :'(
the battery can be removed but you dont want to do that ,just remove the back cover and lift the clip that the battery is conected to the main board .and then clip it back onto main board .that should help with charging the battery hopefully .
have a look here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U64VTZCqRek
I dont want to remove the back cover coz of water resistance loosing ..please tell any another
dont no any other way
:'(
You know any other idea to charge the battery only i need atleast 2% battery to flash the ftf
you can buy a magnetic charging dock .
this might be better
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...p+Charger+Stand+For+XPeria+Z+-+Black&_sacat=0
I suggest u to put your phone on a usb cable connected to laptop for a couple of hours without touching it . then try to flash . Dont connect to charger , only connect to laptop.
