[News] [Kernel Sources] Update on releasing kernel sources for Mi phones in India
SEE HERE
Mi fans,
Hugo and I wanted to provide an update on releasing Mi kernel sources, as this is a question we get very often. I can personally guarantee that we will release the Mi 3 kernel source within Q1 2015, and will also be releasing the Redmi 1S kernel source in December 2014.
The reason we have not shared kernel sources yet is actually quite simple. Hugo explained this at the press conference in India last week. The kernel source code for these devices contains a significant amount of source code that will be used in two upcoming models. If we release the kernel source in its current state, we will be revealing more than we would like to about future devices. We will change this going forward, but right now it is a constraint we have to live with. We hope you can understand this position, and we're very sorry for the frustration we may have caused!
Thanks for your support, and please keep the feedback coming. We are always looking to improve, and we promise we will do better in the future!
Cheers,
Donovan & Hugo
Redmi Note Kernel Source
And what about Kernel Source of Our Redmi Note?
they are not releasing sourse of ant MT chipstes.
Hello, just a easy question, are all roms for Mi3 flashable for Mi4? Thanks
Yes. It because they do have the same base spec and source code, hence the same code "Cancro".
Although the NFC-related features won't work, since Mi4 doesn't have NFC.
Is there full source code now ? I think they relased ..
What do you mean? There is kernel source and there always was.

I downloaded it, it is something old, or not related to p8lite.. The kernel is 3.10.3x or 4x...

You've discovered the Huawei opensource website, yes. Alice sources can always be found here:
http://consumer.huawei.com/en/opens...Type=openSourceSoftware&pageSize=10&curPage=1
and for custom development team OpenKirin has repositories on GitHub.
surdu's latest nougat ROMs are based on the EMUI 4.1 kernel, and reasonably we won't see anything newer since Huawei's last (and current) updates are security patches.
Huawei source code
Is there anyone who still have Huawei open source code
The source code for SM-T515 is available on http://opensource.samsung.com. Just do a search for sm-t515 and you'll find it. Maybe a kind soul could compile and make available TWRP and LineageOS ROM? I'd do it myself, if I knew how. Thanks!
