yes, you have to put the whatsapp folder NOT in the externel sdcard but in the phone memory.......whatsapp with z1 use internel memory and not the sdcard even if you make it accessible to write.....hope it help

Hi all ,
Just got a brand new Xperia V from my mobile service provider . It is really nice and I wish to switch the whole system from my Neo V to the new V .
However , I've figure out that the only storage space for the program is about 3.8 GB , and I've got a 16 GB card directly removed from my Neo V , But most of the software will not read the backup content in my SD card (e.g. SMS backup , bookmark backup , etc) .
So , is there any solution to change the default storage location from the internal storage to the SD card ?
Thanks very much !
Regards,
Kurz
You could try the following application
Root External 2 Internal Storage
or tell the app where the default path should be, most apps should provide this option.

Use any data recovery tool for windows and then recover files from the SD card using it..

use an app called diskdigger !! its work for me but you must scan the whole sd card!
but its really work!! i promise!! [NEED ROOT]
Send form my Xperia™ Z (C6602) using tapatalk?
if the photo was on the internal storage
then i am sorry bro, it cannot be recovered
same thing happen to me at the start of the year
lost some very valuable memory...
tried everything my self, all the data recovery software avaliable
i even send the phone to 3 different specialist data recovery place
none of them was able to even extra an image file of the phone to work with...
(because Sony use a different file system ect then other android device, which, atm, has no interface for)
ever since then i got into the habit of backing up photos everyday onto a sky drive of some sort
so yah...
i am sorry
PS: data recovery place in your country might have better resource / system then mine (australia)
so if you want, give them a try...
i really hope you are more lucky then me bro
if it's external sd card, CardRecovery is best software. but it is paid software
Hi!
NO PC WAY!!
NEED ROOTED Z!!
DISKDIGGER FROM PLAY STORE!!!
SELECT THE PLACE AND FILES TYPE AND BOO!!! They back!
Send form my Xperia™ Z (C6602) using tapatalk?
have Sony Xperia v - decided to unlocked bootloader by using method at developer.sonymobile. in order to install a custom ROM.
All went well, expect I have lost all my SMS, call logs and the tiny app draw (bottom of screen), and contacts
All photos are still on the phone, the only on thing I want to get back is my SMS's
Next thing i did was to search google for a data recovery for windows, most of them said they can recovery SMS, photos, etc, but requires a rooted phone.
So I rooted my phone, but the none of the software worked they can only can see the SD card, most of them need the SD card, or internal memory to be mapped to a letter drive.
Next option I tried, maybe I could try to create a image of the internal memory.
My questions are if someone can help
Are my SMS somewhere on the internal memory, but just hidden, and with root access I can view/copy them off to windows and then put them back to the phone?
Can I map internal rooted memory to windows?
Is there a easy way to take a image/backup on the whole (rooted) internal memory and dump this to windows, if so what software / flash program can read it?
any help is appreciated!
as the title said. i want to enable write to sdcard, and the camera photos too.
i've seen that even after sdcard inserted and install apps,it's not saving files in sdcard (like game's data in /android/data folder)
also that whatsapp folder still on internal, and so the camera's DCIM folder.
in Indonesian's Forum, someone said to enable that, we need to flash lollipop that 4gb version over our's 8gb version. That way, all the games with big data automatocally saved in sdcard , just like my kitkat and JB old phone.
i am asking, is there any other way to enable that without flashing the 4gb version of lollipop?

Search for "foldermount" app... I will not explain here because I want you to do your own research
But basically it is the solution to the problem you have. Although I advise you to use the 4gb rom that natively supports SD cards and stores everything on SD cards
Hello everyone. My problem with my Xperia Z3+/z4 is that I can't transfer my apps to sd permanently!I transfer one for example and it's ok it writes storageexternal storage),sd BUT a few days letter this has changed and it writes storage:INTERNAL STORAGE... If someone knows what's is going on (I think that 6.0.1 is related to this)please let me know!
