Hey, I was just messing with TSF launcher and the phone turned off.
I'm stock everything, new phone.
When I turn it on it doesn't go passed the Samsung logo.
It's just stuck there. No battery to remove....haa this happened to anyone else?
I don't get it, not sure what to do.

I never installed anything buddy turned it of last night before i went to sleep woke up played a game then went to work now i have this problem

That's a known problem with the totally unstable P1010. The only thing that helps temporarily is to completely reset the damned thing.
The best you can do is to return this crappy pad. The hardware is good the software is completely buggy and the Samsung support is completely clueless.
try button savior from market if you don't want to factory reset

Try this, be shure that you are using the default launcher, put the usb in KIES conection mode, connect to KIES on the PC, disconect from KIES and restar the device.
The home button should work after this. It seems to be a common problem in the P1010, a lot of people are reporting this problem, and I have suffered my self.
For a lot of people the Kies fix works, so try it before a factory reset.
After 4 weeks getting repaired I asked for my money back and got a 7510 much better thanks for the help guys

Just wondering if anyone has had an issue with the lock screen doubling up. I'm working on a ROM based off v9 and I'm running go locker. Every time I unlock go locker, the stock VZW lock screen flashes then it goes to my home screen. Lg home and the STOCK, Swype up piece of glass, lock screen are still installed. things do settle down after a day or two, but once rebooted it happens all over again. I'm just testing different launchers and lockers. Suggestions?

He is making a ROM. Uninstalling it would be the best solution.
Freezing works too. But the weird thing is my wife has yet to see this issue. (She's my in house beta tester ) it's just odd. Was just trying to have lg home as the default launcher in my ROM. It's all good thanks everyone

Hi, i tried the remove bloatware (Safe List) here under Q/A..
I took first the ones that i know i never would use.. the phone seems fine.
Then i decided to take everyone from the top to customize it more..
BUT now after i removed everything it DONT work, the lock screen seems fine but as soon as i opened the lock screen its COMPLETELY BLACK and i cant even turn it off i can wait til the lockscreen comes back and then i can turn it off.. !
What the hell do i do now.. ?
I have tried to do a hard reset but when it runs the "startup" setting thingy it says failed.. :S
So i cant even restore it now do i have a ruíned phone for life.. ?
Try a kdz reflash, that should hopefully fix it.

Next time instead removing them freeze them with titanium back up. Because then u can just unfreeze them and thats it.

That option don't work always. If the settings are loaded in startup the problem remains.
I already had that problem but I was able to fix it with factory reset in ARS. Was the only solution cause the issued app was only frozen, if was un-installed, only re-flashing...

A friend of mine gave me a p990 to fix it for him,I ain't a programmer but I do have some experience with android smartphones, anyway this one when it turns on it shows the. White lg logo and a blue progressing bar, after a few seconds it reboots and that goes on and on.if I press volume down button it shows sw upgrade please wait while upgrading and it justs stays in that screen even after a long time.I don't know what happened exactly,i guess bad flashing, anyway what should I do to get it back in shape

Sometimes when I open an app or close it or do something similar my screen turns black. It has a backlight on but its a black screen. I can only solve this by locking the phone and then unlocking it again. Also sometimes when I try and install an app from the market, my screen goes black and it reboots from the Xperia logo.
Any ideas, btw my phone is rooted correctly so that is not causing the problems
