Hello,
i have a moto g 2014 i had cm 12.1 installed earlier then i came across the snapshot build so i decided to update the version.
After doing so i had some issues with it and it would give up some error and the phone would restart again so i tried switching back to the old cm 12.1 version again from recovery but it was of no use.
So i flashed it to 4.4.4 kit kat stock version which i had, the phone was working properly until when i decided to update it from kit kat to lollipop, the download was successful but as soon as the window(where the green android working is shown) was done with the phone went unresponsive, nothing but a black screen is now seen.
phone is totally unresponsive now, it cant power up nor i can open the recovery or bootloader menu?
is there any way to solve this?
PLEASE HELP! THANKYOU IN ADVANCE
u cannot install with custom recovery u have to use easy installer

Hey guys, I rooted my Verizon LG G2 a while back and used Xposed Framework. I got an update notification from Verizon today about kit kat 4.4.4 and I said, "Sure, might as well get the newest update." After I downloaded it, it took me to TWRP which was unusual because whenever I updated it always took me to LG's boot menu (duh). So now I have no clue how to get out of the menu because whenever I hit Power Off in the menu, then turn it back on, it goes back to TWRP. So then when I tried to restore a backup, it seemed like it was working but it still brought me back to the damned TWRP menu. Please, somebody help me fix this because my phone has become a paperweight until I get this fixed.

Thank you all! Without your guys' help I'd be stuck with a paperweight that could only go to a holo menu lol.:victory::angel:
I rooted my phone couple months ago, and few days ago, I began to received system updates notification of the 6.10.531.10 version update, it was annoying, and the notification cannot be turned off, so i tried to install, but result came out as expected, didn't work.
So I downloaded the cyanogenmod 10.2.1 stable version, and flashed it via custom recovery, everything went smoothly except stuck in the spinning logo boot up page. So that left me no choice, and i'm now back to my old rom that i backed up before flashing.
Any advice for how to get the new updates or stop the annoying notification ? or how do I flash to a OTA custom rom so i dont have to worry about updates anymore ? Did i miss any step ?
btw, i unlocked my phone via HTC dev Unlock.
Many thanks !

just tried, didn't work, and it took me long enough to download the 1.6 g file, and finally says update failed, not compatible with the updater or whatever.
So, is there any way that I can flash a new rom ? a ota rom maybe ?

You need stock recovery to flash the OTA, not custom recovery
If you want to flash the OTA you must flash the recovery matching your firmware
so if i wanna flash Cyanogenmod 11 for instance, i have to get another recovery as well ?

First factory reset.
Install cm11 and boot into it
Then directly install cm12 over it.
PS. Read the instructions next time

1. Download cm11 latest rom for ghost.
2. In recovery go to wipe options
There is slider below to factory reset.
3 . install cm11.
4. Boot.
5. Once it boots up, reboot back to recovery.
6.install cm12.

Okay good. What version Moto X do you have? And if you haven't already install the Motorola drivers while I prepare a script for an auto install.

Why would you modify your phone when you clearly have no idea of what your doing or how to return to stock? Mind boggling to me how many people take these silly risk.

Seriously man. I thoroughly read all guides before going about the rooting.
But this guy just doesn't know even basic stuff mentioned in the first post.
I tried helping him but he is just too ignorant for me to handle.
Don't even get me started on the 'will pay' thing.
I didn't notice it before but man what does this guy think
Before I ever rooted my phone I read all kind of tutorials and even watched all kinds of video's on youtube. +1 to rootjunky.com Then before I would modify anything I would make sure to have all the stock images and my sdk set up if needed to return to stock before changing anything.
I sure as hell didn't tell people that I'll pay them for helping me

So I worked with him and got his phone running stock again. And told him to not even think of paying, instead just that he would promise to not flash anything in the future until he researches how to do it properly

Hi all,
I recently recieved an ota notice to upgrade to software version 22.46.12
Im currently on 22.41.24.thea_retgball.en.GB.retgb
Build no. LXB22.99-24
Does anyone have a stock recovery for this build ? Any thea stock recovery i flash goes onto the phone ok but fails to install the update, if I try to enter recovery I get the android on its back and no command.
I can flash the thea version of twrp back and it works fine.
Am i missing something obvious ? Does the boot loader have to be relocked or are the stock recoveries specific to each build ?
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.
Regards, Samyipya
According to this post from July, the OTAs may check for changes on /system, so even if you have stock recovery installation will fail.
Ok thanks for that, it did try and flash the recovery but quit about a third of the way through.
Anyway rather than flash the factory image im now running the AOSP 5.1.1 rom available in the development section.
Runs really well and no bloat.
Regards, Sam
This should be the same stock you had -> http://www.filefactory.com/file/3cv..._LXB22.99-24_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
And there is an updated version too -> http://www.filefactory.com/file/42o...B22.99-24.12_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
Take 10 to 20 minutes to update and restore your twrp backup, i had great improvements whit the latest modem.
XT1072, Motorola Moto G 4G (2015)
I'm looking for a stock recovery for 22.41.24.thea_reteu.reteuall.en.EU.reteu
Build no. LBX22.99-24
Can't find it anywhere and hoping someone here may help.
