Its mandatory on M, if i not include it... it will be setup wizard FC.....
Has anyone problems with Google now on tap? It's not working for me and I can't find any reason why. I have the latest version of MinimalOS. Latest GApps from here.
Edit: ofc I find the solution right after I ask here. After changing my phones language to English (US), Now on tap appeared in settings.

On the latest gapps anyone having trouble opening pdf files? I'm on chroma and this the only problem I have. Nobody else on chroma thread has this problem. Drive pdf says can't display pdf.

Download from playstore pdf viewer from google inc, also check if you change permissions on drive pdf.

Aah ****. I keep on forgetting to check the permissions of a misbehaving app. My bad really. Sorry for the trouble.

I just flashed this from the old market from your previous thread. But when i open the play store, it says authentication is required. You need to sign in to your google account. But i had lohged in my account in accounts and sync. I've already logged in gtalk. How to fix this? Thanks
I dint have any problem. Weird.
Try this btw-
Go to settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All applications>Google play store>clear data and then try opening it.
If that dint work. Open play store>press left soft key/search button>accounts>and then choose your account and wait for it to load.

Yeah its UI is just like the 3.4.4. Its slow, but atleast faster than 3.4.4. Yesterday, google updated the market to 3.4.7 from 3.4.6. Maybe few bug fixes from google.
I still use the old market. Has always been perfect for me. Some people prefer the new market. Posted this for them.

I found out your problem. It was Google's fault, not mine.
They had some bugs with Google Play Store 3.4.7
Thread Updated. Added new Play Store 3.5.15
Note:
If the play store auto updated to the latest play store, You need not flash this update.

Info: These apps are based on @bpear96 GApps with some modifications and added CM11s apps which I made them for my personal use. Under request there are two packages (medi & mini) also available. They will work on any CM12 custom ROM for the OnePlus One and are tested by me before releasing them for no bugs or FCs. I will update them weekly as long as there are new versions available.
Instructions: Download the zip file, reboot in recovery, wipe cache/dalvik cache (optional), flash your ROM then this zip file and reboot.

Just tested a package with Google Play Store v5.1.11 on Temasek's CM12 v1.7 ROM and it gave me an Authentication failure message. Will have to wait for it to be updated for our device.

I'm having Google play services issues on today's build of gapps.
Right from set up, I don't have the options to restore after entering my Google account.
Google play services is actually installed but I can't sync or do anything. It also gives internal error when I click on manage space from app info....
Anyone else in the same boat as I am?
I also get this:
"Google Play Services which some of your applications rely on is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer for assistance... "

My question, i wanted Audio FX apps, can i just uninstall DSP Manager, and push Audio FX to system/app ??

It's always a lil tricky to remove/install play services manually. You should simply remove the -438 from your GApps, as it relies on stock 480dpi, and 480dpi is like zomgwtfnooneusesdizshiet! Replace them with universal -430 and everyone could use your Package easily

Here's an unofficial Android 5.1 for the Google Nexus 4. No significant modifications, just a plain, good ol' AOSP, which becomes more usable every release. Before we proceed. At this moment, Google has not released binary files for Android 5.1, so I'm using the 5.0.1 ones.

yeah baby! this is wonderful!!! thx for your hard work!!! i will give it a try today later when i find the time as i am curious if xposed is working on 5.1. the 5 blobs should not be a problem as 5.1 is a small update.

I know it's not fully functional on the Nexus 4 but however i miss that notification-thing
I appreciate your hardwork sir and want to let you know that I just clean flashed your ROM along with latest PA Gapps and SuperSU v2.46.
ROM flashed successfully but Gapps failed.
TWRP screen shows this package of Gapps is only for 5.0.x and cannot be used with 5.1.
It would really be great if you very kindly take out some more time to keep the good work up.
I'll try to install apk files of Play Svcs and Play Store etc and will see if it works.
As far as I know, 5.1 gapps are not available yet. I will try to create a separate package soon.

PA Gapps works if you change "req_android_version" to 5.1 on installer.data

Yes, this method works too. Google released new apps though which can be used with 5.1
GPS
Noticed that my GPS isn't working. It just shows the icon in the statusbar and stays there forever (Tested with Google Maps & Android Device Manager)
May be it's not the best time to run 5.1 on mako, at least for me.
Using Nexus Root Toolkit, I have installed apks of Google Play Services, Play Store, Gmail, Google Now Launcher and Google Search but now every time I click on Google Settings or Play Store (even in System Settings --> Accounts--> Add Account--> Google) a pop up persistently appears and says "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped" .
Looks like old apks cannot make friends with new OS version.

Try updating your google play services with Aptoide. The newest version from there worked very well for me.

Just flashed android 5.1 and must say it is really a polished build as compared to 5.0 !! First thing is multitasking wohooo !! Seems like you own a new device !! Apps just done seem to close whatever you do how hard a multitasker you are android 5.1 seems to handle this reallylike a champ !! Amazing work thanks eagle eye for getting this stuff rolled out so fast !!
Some things to note
Flash banks gapps minimal ( worked for me ) .Play services will auto update in a few mins and playstore access will be back once the play services auto updates
GPS doesn't work as reported
Rest still to test
Is the "mobile radio active" bug fixed in 5.1?

I've lost recovery while flashing this, also forgot to root with supersu, now I can't get recovery back (twrp requires an app with root support from the playstore).

This is my new project dedicated to all Nexus 5 users!
It is based on unofficial Unlegacy Android Project 8.1 Beta.
I’m not a great programmer, but I know how to achieve my goals.
The goal is to reproduce the Google Pixel 2 system.
This ROM contains some useful tools that can be easily uninstalled.
Before we start:
Please ignore all posts from #1 to #93 because they concern an earlier unfinished Android 8.0 Project.
From now on, the first post is #94. If the moderator can clear this thread, I would be very grateful.
What does UBR stand for?
The letters UBR stand for Update By Recovery.
This is a very non conventional way of flashing - a bit crazy/extreme like me :silly:
This backup does not contain the EFS partition which holds your personal IMEI number,
that's why you can use it on any Nexus 5 phone!
Why you should install this ROM?
+ Really easy flash by swiping only one button in TWRP!
+ Quick Installation (it usually takes 3 minutes)
+ It works instantly after reboot
+ If the phone is not damaged it will always work
+ It looks like Google Pixel 2 from the box (in 99%)
+ It has extra functions that can be uninstalled (Magisk etc)
– It has a 4 times larger installation file than standard flashable ROM
– Other applications from your Google account will need to be installed manually

The size of the project is 1.31GB - why it is so BIG?
This contains: ROM (298 MB) + OpenGApps Nano (141 MB) + Other Modules/Mods+ Other Google apps.
After installation you can remove all unwanted apps including Magisk (Unroot).
Please DO NOT uninstall Google Gboard App, unless you have other keyboard app installed !!!

Pixel Navbar for Lineage 14.1 won't flash.
[OT 1] Google Phone/Messages apps will use Adaptive Icons (it will be similar to Google Maps on my picture).
[OT 2] Is there any new Google Camera / Camera NX app for Nexus 5 ARM (not ARM64)?
[OT 3] SafetyNet Check test passes randomly - do you have the same problem? (Magisk 14.3)

Are you sure you can include gapps in your custom rom? The last time I read, it was against Google's guidelines.

Could you post a build also without any Google app? I'm used to use MicroG in their place and close to no other G app. Moreover, my bandwidth in 4G/WiFi is limited, I can't download such a big ROM. Please post two builds and let users decide what they want to use. Anyway thank you for this work

So this isn't my daily driver, it's my dad's old phone that he dropped when the mobile data stopped working. So I can't test any network features but I'll check on the active edge. In the mean time, here's some screenshots:
After flashing gms with magisk modude (version 8.1), my google contact can not be sync with google account and apps not be able to restore from google back up, anyone having this problem? will try v.8.2 later and will leave a feed back. Thank you for your hard work and sharing

It has been removed, it is being actively resolved, and a new one will be released later

The rom is not built with gapps, and the rom itself does not guarantee that other gapps will work properly, so using magisk is the safest method. Using recovery to flash in errors will be irreversible, so I have no plans for this moment.
Could someone list the steps to get the Google contacts / app data restored after flashing the GMS Magisk module??

After flashing gsm u maybe faced conecting error in google play. I solved it with newest google play apk and google services apk in apkpure ( u can google it), install. Reboot, everything work with me. Sorry for my bad English.

For me, after i flashed google apps...go to the settings > apps > show system apps > go to google play services then grant all the permission. Then go to google contact sync and contact app, also grant all the permission. Make sure that all apps mentioned above can access internet and try to sync your account manually. I hope it will work for you.
