looks like radio active bug
try the Slim 4.1 rom.
First try full wipe/factory reset, sometimes it helps without flashing another rom
I solved it! I do a factory charging option in service menu and my battery is better than the start of the battery drain.
Thanks for everyone

My battery drain very fast after upgrade to ics stock rom.
Got any way to solve it, like settings, etc?
you could use the built in power saver mode.
But we need to find the culprit, Install a monitoring app and /or check the battery stats regularly to see whats causing it.
How did you update to ICS ? Did you do a full wipe before hand ?
direct upgrade thru kies without wipe data
ok, well do not wipe data until you flash a safe kernel.
monitor your battery over the next few days with a monitoring app like watchdog or similar
if it doesnt improve, we will look at doing a wipe and starting from fresh
well....got the same prob....am on rocket rom v7...
the issue is that the battery drains really fast when m connected to h+ network!!
i even put the fone on flight mode and kept it like tat whole night and in the morning cpu spy showd that the fone was on sleep for awmst 7 hours, and the battery drain was just 3 percent!!so tat seems awrt!!
i jus dunno why the battery drains so fast when m connected to the network!!
plzzz a soln will be appreciated!!
Thanxx!!
Maybe you could try a different radio ??
If your current radio isnt finding a strong signal, your phone will be constantly searching for something better, Thus resulting in a lot of drain

It is probably just L2_hsic bug.
Just reboot the phone and search the forums for ways to prevent causing the bug.

I test one method, 3 day, seem like work to reduce battery drain issue.
1. turn off phone
2. remove battery for 2 min
3. plug in battery
4. start phone
This 1 i read from web site/forum.
Please help me
After upgrade to ICS 4.0.4 (official ROM), While using the phone Suddenly the screen flashes and the mobile become hot and battery sudden drain from about 70-80% to 1% and sudden shutdown!!!!
I tried to uninstall any new installed programs but the same problem continues to happen several times.

I'd suggest a factory reset but you must flash a safe kernel first.. Since its not safe to factory reset from stock ics kernel

Easiest and most safest way.... take it down to Samsung Service Center and have their tech check your phone.
You mention that this issue only happens when your using your phone. So it's NOT giving you any kind of issue when your phone is in standby mode right? If so maybe other alternatives, is to turn off your mobile data (that drains a lot of batt and makes your phone's camera part hot as well).
Use it without DATA on (or WIFI on).. e.g. just use it for calling, SMS and etc. See if it'll shutoff still (or not anymore).
My phone reboots all of a sudden on it's own and then it "sometimes" shows the battery is 12% directly from 46%
Do you guys think I should try to flash it with a ROM and check?
I have the official latest firmware on it, not rooted.
I posted a battery dump in a thread and it was concluded that phone is going in deep sleep but, the battery consumption is quite high.
What should I do?
That's probably problem with batterystats file
try download any app from the Play store that reset the battery stats (but that requires root access)
Also, check ur running applications, make sure MediaScanner service is not running because it is quite a battery drainer.. also take a look at your running applications, see what u really need running in the background
Phone started restarting lately, so did a factory reset.
Do you think it could be the battery that is faulty?
If the battery is 10 month old or more its likely its time to replace it. I have the same problems as do a lot of others.

Hello guys I'm using a Galaxy Note GT N7000 on CM10.1 with NX Kernel
Recently I've been having a problem of battery drain. Even when I have put it in charging, the phone seems to have been draining out of it. I have tried to change the USB cable and the charger both, but still the problem persists. Does this mean that it'll get solved by a new battery? or there is some other issue causing this problem? Would wiping data cache or battery stats help? If so, I'd be glad for your help! If you require any more information, let me know. Thank you..

Witch nxkernel version are u on and have tried to full wipe everything and start from scratch the other thing is if its your battery you would probably be seeing stuff like your screen flickering and then the phone shuts down after reboot you find you have 1% battery that's the normal battery signs but other then that if it is dieing when charging you would have a huge drain and a fresh start could fix also you could check some battery stats see if something is staying active and could be an app doing this as well.

Hey I tried the following:
1. I tried a brand new battery but it didn't affect anything. I still tried a few more adapters and cables, nothing.
2. I did a full factory reset and the kernel was stock Cm kernel.
Still, the problem is persisting.
The NX Kernel that I WAS using, was version 1.3.9
What else can be the problem? Thanks in advance.
What governer have u set? And have u overclocked it?

Try using a different charger. Seems like it's not holding the charge really well
Tested with fully charged by power bank and original charger and cable as well, doesn't seem solve my problem =(
