Sony Xperia Z3 compact not recognizing original headset - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As an user of Sony Xperia z3 compact "cm-12.1-20151028-NIGHTLY-z3c" I would like to use the original headset/headphones with microphone from Sony. When I plug them into the phone, they are not recognized by the phone and the sound is playing through the phone speakers. Usualy headphones without microphone are working!
The same problem I had with all other custom ROMs. I also tried the App SoundAbout and I was able to force the music player to play on the headphones, but all phone calls are still on the smartphone and not via the connected headphones.

Headset Sony MH750
I can listen musich by using headset Sony MH750. Sounds only by smartphone speakers. Connecting the Headset music temporary sounds, mostly not. Only disturbing, scratching noise. Use original music player, smart connect, winamp and different headsets. Reset the z3 compact and reinstall the newest software by pc companion 2 times successless. Do you have any advice for me?

[Q] Headset hardware wiring config

Hi,
When playing video or music, the original headset that came with this phone works without any problem.
The only button on the headset is able to pause/resume the movie.
When i tried another headset (meant for Sony Ericsson phone), the sound seems partially muted.
The only button on the headset somehow can un-mute the headset, but only when i press and hold the button.
The headset was tested working fine on Sony Ericsson phone.
Both headsets seems to be wired differently. Is there anyway to config the Sony Ericsson headset to work properly?
The apps i found inside google play does not seem to be able to solve the partial mute problem.
Please advice or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

[Q] Music in car

I used to listen to my songs using the AUX input with my Xperia Z1 in my car radio. But now, (I don't know if this ahve to do with upgrading to .757) it won't play and it says that the headphone isn't compatible. I'm just using a P2-P2 cable plugged in my AUX car's radio input and in my Z1 phone output
That is impossible. That cable have nothing sophisticated to tell to the phone that isn't compatible and the jack have audio out only. I use that system too in my car to listening Unz, Unz, Unz, and nothing strange jet. Somehow you have to get rid of that notification.

It works with my xperia neo. Also, neo's headset dont worlk with z1, but thats because they have microphone and the ground ring was changed in 2011+ xperia phones...
I can't plug my Z1 into my Makita site radio, it doesn't play anything through the AUX, although the phone seems to think it's got headphones plugged in. Tried a few cables, some newer and some older with no variation in results.

This suck. And it's very weird because it used to work..

[Q] Bluetooth audio dropout

I just got a Z3 compact. I switched from a Moto X that did not have any bluetooth issues (which is still in my possession in case I can't fix this).
Anyway, when I connect to my Pioneer MVH-X560BT stereo, music will play but the audio will drop out completely every few minutes. The audio will go out for around a second. It's not lag because the song doesn't also pause when the bluetooth audio drops. After a second audio will return. I have tried many apps (Walkman, Power amp, google play, spotify, etc.) and they all produce the same occasional pause. I have used a few different phones with this stereo and have never experienced this issue.
I bought my Z3c online from someone who had unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom ROM. I found out how to install the stock Sony rom with Emma and thought that would fix my bluetooth issues. It did not. I doubt an unlocked bootloader would affect bluetooth.
I have turned on the bluetooth log and installed the Xperia bluetooth fix app, but I was seeing if anyone here had any insight.
Bluetooth problem
I don't think your problem is related to the unlocked bootloader, I have problem even with the Bluetooth of my alpine, I have to pair the two every time I switch on the car stereo and even with the music over Bluetooth sometimes the z3c doesn't send the music. I hope for a future update because is very annoying. P.s. my bootloader is locked.

Exactly the same here
Yup, seems to be a problem at Sony's end - this happens for me with Sony Bluetooth headphones as well as with my car. Didn't happen with the Galaxy S4
hi
same probme here, with my Z3C and my Pioneer MVH-X560BT stereo .. still no solution, sony did nothing to correct the problem
even if, when i use z3c with my home 's bluetooth speaker, it works flawilessy .. and when i used to stream music with my moto g 4G on my Pioneer MVH-X560BT stereo, it worked flawilessy ..
it do not understand it, and even reflecting well ..

[Q] Can you use bluetooth and the headphone jack at the same time on the Z3?

I'm considering pick up a Z3 Compact, and was wondering if anyone could tell me if you could listen to music via the headphone jack and have bluetooth connected for phone calls at the same time. I know that the Galaxy S3, for example, cannot do that, while HTC phones can.
Just so it's clear, this is what I'd like to do:
Headphone jack connected to car stereo's aux in for music, navigation audio, etc.
Bluetooth connected to car for hands free phone calls.
(My car is a few years old and can't do music over bluetooth.)
Can the Z3 do it?
Thanks!
Just tested with the sbh52 and Vizio sound bar auxiliary port.
Works just as you desire. When answering a call, the audio cuts from the headphone jack and routes to the Bluetooth device automatically. This occurs whether you answer from the phone or Bluetooth device. Upon hanging up, the music resumes playing and can be controlled with your Bluetooth device.

Z3 compact not detecting skullcandy headphones but other headphones work perfect!!!

When I plug in my skullcandy headphones Z3c refuses to recognize them but when I plug in the headphones that came with Sony or works fine.. The problem started from yesterday otherwise the headphones were perfectly fine and my phone is out of warranty too,is it a software bug or the headphone jack is damaged??
Well first off, get real headphones
Secondly, if the stock earphones work fine i doubt its the jack, your headphones could be damaged (skullcandy break easily)
Good day.
I have the exact same problem with my sony xba-2 (even with their own products there is incompatibilities ).
I use a program called soundabout, that is free in the app store, and force the sound to the headphones.
Let us know if it worked after.
