CyanogenMod and custom ROMs are two different things. It is true that you can create custom ROMs based off of the CyanogenMod builds, but since we don't have those stable builds, the devs create ROMs based off of the i9000 etc. ROMs.
The CyanogenMod builds are built from scratch; that is why we don't currently have a stable CM build. Once a stable CM build is out, though, there'll be some awesome ROMs based off of it.

I can hardly wait.
i understand there is no official cm support for XSP yet. i also know that freexperia project has cm versions for XSP.
i'd like to ask which of the cm versions in the FXP site is considered a stable build. are there any bugs? or which funtionalities are missing?
because there aren't any details of the ROM versions in the FXP site.
Thank you very much

Well, they all are initial released and they will all come with BUGS which you can live with. However, if you still want to flash it, just flash the latest version as in every NEW version bugs are fixed and performance is improved!
I will suggest wait a bit and you will soon have a stable CM for your phone!
Good Luck
Hello people.
What are the differences between the latest cyanogenmod nightlies and the latest cyanogenmod pershoot?
Thanks
Nightlies will have generic cm11 updates. I suspect pershoot cherry picks the ones he wants for our device tree.
Nightlies are not considered stable releases.

when i post a build (on droidbasement) its for testing device specific work prior to it being included in to mainline (nightlies, milestones, etc.).
I'm looking for a stable ROM for my i9305 which has strong release management: I don't want to run nightlies/weeklies and would would expect releases to be bug free or at least have an itemised list of know issues.
In short, I'm more interested in stability than quick releases of new features. A solid release every month would be ideal.
Sadly, CM11 is out - the dev doesn't seem to want to release the "milestone" or monthlies that our brother the i9300 has.
What ROMs have a track history of bug-free releases? I'm after a longer time between releases, and solid stability.

Have you tried the latest TGP (The Galaxy Project) rom? Very stable and highly customisable i've been using it for months now with no issues.

Unofficial Slimkat does the trick for me. Incredibly stable and tremendous battery life with Boeffla Omni kernel.

I'm a bit wary of unofficals after my previous unoffical ROM developer (Archidroid - rodman01) just put [discontinued] on the xda thread and then walked away!
I settled for LiquidSmooth (which I believe is based on Slimkat) and did a DIY on Boeffla

Thanks, that one looks really good. I like that it's possible to select kernels at install time. Also a great selection of pre-installed apps.
I've since installed LiquidSmooth, but will keep this one firmly in mind!!
If you are looking for another AOSP rom, try C-rom, stable and has a ton of customization
Just wondering, what version of liquidsmooth are you using?

I bumped into C-ROM looking for a ROM wife's i9000. It looked quite impressive, but I found that updating her kennel did the trick, so didn't try it. I prefer AOSP over TouchWiz, I'll keep one in mind, thanks.
I'm on LS KK 3.1 stable, with self-installed Boeffla kernel. I'm loving it.
please Which boeffla for liquid 3.1 for my i9305,thanx

C-rom is awesome! Tons of customization and really stable. Sadly it has not been updated in awhile.
I was running liquid smooth 3.2 nightly(currently on carbon ROM). Btw are you using the CyanogenMod or omni boeffla kernel?

For me after using RR made by @somadsul, I've decided that RR is the best replacement for CM...
Thanks for your works @A.Arani

Tweaking with something like Xposed has 3 consequences:
1- it's not stable and always Buggy
2- you can't get all features on 7.1 with Xposed
3- something u need basic and simple and sometimes faster rom like aosp u can't easily remove parts from os using Xposed
P.S : next nougat rom will be aosp too ??? only matter is time and probably camera is fixed in next released version of nougat

Kernel of these roms are custom themselves.
