Touchwiz notification drawer - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm torn between Z4 tablet, Ipad air2 and this tablet. The only thing that's keeping away from it is touchwiz and it's color palette. I know it sounds stupid, but I've got a fixation with it.
So my question is simple: can I change the notification drawer background and foreground colors?
If so, does it need to be rooted?

No but it will surely be a matter of time before they update it to have the theme store like the s6

Is a fullscreen homscreem possible?

I was curious if a fullscreen home screen is possible? Which still included everything on the notification bar. So instead of white or black like alot of themes out there it would be more of the background still including the icons and such.

home++ is fantastic but i think he wants an invisible notification bar with all the icons still there, right?
In which case, people have been trying for ages but i'm pretty sure it can't be done.

Yeah thats what I'm asking. I have a BB Storm 9530 and I was able to make my themes like what Im asking.
People tried to do it before but as soon as you add some transparentcy to the status bar it just shows black in the background. If you 're determined enough, you can colormatch your status bar to the backgound that you use and make it work that way although it sounds like too much work to me.
Good luck.
The main problem with this is that the wallpaper is drawn only to the bottom of the status bar.
The second problem with this is that the wallpaper is drawn by the Launcher itself rather than being drawn UNDER the launcher.

[Q] Is it possible to change the TouchWiz font color on Galaxy Gear?

Hi all.
I rooted my gear so I can install/run the "Background Color Changer" app someone made.
This app works great and I'm super appreciative that someone took the time to make it.
Does anyone know of a way to change the TouchWiz font color?
I would ideally like to change the background color and font color to match what I'm wearing for the day or something along those lines.
It may sound silly I know but it would really make my day if I was able to easily change the TouchWiz font color.
Why Samsung decided to let us choose from orange or white only is mind boggling to me.
Any help would appreciated.

MOD Transparent Navigation Bar Throughout the System

Is there a mod to make the navigation bar transparent or translucent and not black throughout the system or within apps?
Or invert the color of the bar like the LG G3?
http://www.google.com/design/spec/layout/structure.html#structure-system-bars
Oh yeah, Just like mine now. Take a look baby
What mod is that?
Edit: does anyone know if there's a mod for marshmallow?
Nobody?

Nova launcher lets you change it to transparent.

Only when the rom supports it, right? I tried it and it stayed black

I am on stock marshmellow, although I did buy the Nova prime, that is probably the difference

But.. Does it also work when you're in for instance whatsapp? Could you post some screenshots in some apps? Because it's only transparent on the home screen on my Nexus 6

Unfortunately if the app doesn't allow it, I don't think it's possible
Here is the deal. When you use a launcher that allows transparency, it is only on the home screen. That is because the homescreen is designed to allow the window (of the application) to sit behind the status bar and navigation bar. Windows for other applications do not sit behind these bars. They stop when they meet them. If you actually had a transparent navigation bar and you were in facebook, you would not see the background of the app behind it. You would see dead space, which may be white, grey or black. Not the effect you're looking for.
Conversely, if the app windows DID sit behind these bars, some functionality would be lost. eg. buttons at the bottom of the app would sit behind the navbar. There are apps and mods that can achieve this, such as expanded desktop, but is it really worth losing functionality for this?

That looks pretty inconvenient. What happens when you hit the spacebar? Goes home?

To expand on that a little bit, the notion of having something transparent depends on there actually being something behind it to show through, which really doesn't make much sense.
In fact, the transparent "effect" (at least, on the notification bar at the top) is something done by the application itself, by defining the boundaries of the application to extend above the border of the application window, hence drawing something up outside of the application's area.
The nav bar can't be made transparent in the same manner, but the application developer has the option to set the color.

[Q] How to force EMUI not to add icon background?

Emotion UI cuts icons corners to make it rounded (iOS like) and adds background to every icon, even to these with transparent parts. It tries to pick at least similar color to icon, but still it looks horrible with many icons. Any idea how to disable this feature?
I agree it doesn't look good at all. The only way to do it is by finding a theme which allows you to have transparent icon backgrounds. Usually a Lollipop or a Material theme will have that.

It is a Q&A thread and a very valid question which many people will have. Even I had it when I got a Huawei phone and eventually figured out you had to change it with themes. Problem is they don't include any themes which disable that by default. So you have to search the web and look all over just to find a theme which supports icons with transparent backgrounds. It's no easy task and honestly it should at least come with one theme out of the box which allows for icons with transparent backgrounds.
The only solution I could find was running a different launcher. I'm running Nova Launcher and a Marshmallow theme now and this has oddly enough made me much happier with my phone.

Request: default theme with dark colours

Hi!
I'm looking for a default (stock) theme for my s6 (I actually love the default icons), but with darker colours, i.e. not the white/orange combination for the dialer/settings etc., but something a bit more Amoled friendly. Can anyone help?
I use Zero Dark.
The most amoled friendly which I found is Octane X. However, it has Aosp icons.
Update: Octane X doesn't has default icons, don't know why I thought it's Aosp
I gave Zero Dark a try (it was my first choice), couldn't live with the icons...
I'm going to try Sooty - icons look very close to stock, but I have my doubts about the colour scheme...
if u have root u can enter /data/app and delete {author name}.theme.{theme name}.appicon-1
Unfortunately I don't... Brand new phone, I don't want to lose my warranty... It's actually my first ever unrooted phone, and the experience is quite painful.
Would it be possible to write an app to do just that or would it need root access as well?
