An accident. We'll repost in the correct forum a bit later. Did in call volume work for you? It works ok for me. WiFi and cellular data have been good for me so far.

Didn't test in call sound.. The gapps package on the website installs old apps?
Contacted moderator to have thread moved to Original Android Development section. Also, OP needs updating, sorry if gapps aren't correct. Use your common sense and find gapps for 6.0.
Should sound via speaker work or is it a known bug?
Tried it this morning. Phone couldn't detect SIM card, but WiFi was working, used gapps off VRTox's site. Went back to CM and cell service came back.
T-Mobile phone running GPe 5.1.H10 firmware.
Yeah those are known bugs... DON'T flash this if you're expecting a daily driver, it can't be said enough.
Wifi connect to modem but no data is trasmitted
Phone detect sim card and have signal but, no call and data
Browser crash
Camera crash
Security in setting crash
If try to erase data of any app the phone reboot
And the phone talk me to erase the micro sd card because isn't recognized
I installed only the ROM and was able to get data, 4G.
But I too got the browser and camera crashes.
I also received notice of a corrupt "samsung" SD card. I am not sure if anyone else was told what type of SD card they had that was corrupt, but I do in fact have a Samsung card.
I made a few calls, one to my VM, one to DMV. Bot h worked and the call to the DMV, although automated, heard my responses. So I assume in call mic works and in call sound worked for me too. (as well as direct dial VM by holding 1)
I am flashing Gapps now to see if anything is different.
do you want any logs? I don't have any but can get some. I know it's alpha, but do you even want to hear any issues at this stage, or is this just to toy with?

I figured, but the couple minutes I played with it, it was stupid quick and smooth, very nice
Lots of known bugs. Things are being fixed and updated all the time. Just a matter of some time until it gets working better
Flashed the rom and I seem to have reliable Wi-FI but Data seems to be unavailable. Running on AT&T and I only installed the Gapps from the site. Good work so far. At least for the moment it is a good way to try 6.0.
Also, what are the two Chinese apps that seem to be included?

After flashing gapps, I too had no data, go into settings, choose one of the 2 carrier settings options, settings will crash but data will reboot, it will disable, it will then re-enable data, and come back (mine did).
HTC not yet release MM for M8 and we can't use proprietaty from LP for MM with full working . So wait htc release then...
Failed to boot on GSM, S-off
I'm sure proprietary will be ported from lp for mm via CM aka TheMuppets

I just built the ROM fresh and have not flashed it yet. It's built with the same sources as my RR rom for the device/kernel so it should all be the same. I'll test later today but I'll leave the link here for people.

I'll be sure to check it out later

Jpc kernel base if he is saying its the same source as his resurrection remix
Been on this for a few hours an don't have any issues with it. Baseband Unknown is the same as moth other roms and I asked the guy who built the Dirty Unicorns rom how he got it working, so crossing fingers
@ming3r
If he has a fix do share. Because the new lg dev kernel has the same issue
There's a new kernel? WAIT ARE YOU TELLING ME THIS WORKS? https://github.com/lg-devs/android_kernel_lge_msm8974-caf
Unrelated note, I'm not sure if it's a Kernel issue. Both the DU rom and PA all use JPC's kernel.
Only problem I'm having is the play services force closer which I wasn't having on PAC but seemed like I was on everything else
Did you try the gapps I linked? Looks like they fixed some stuff with that Banks one.

People already have. Might be better to hold off though.
Edit: or at the very least keep it private.
Anyone have working GPS on this ROM??
I'll give this a try in a bit and report back. AICP has always been one of my favorites.
Been a few days and its pretty good so far. Came from PacMan and more things working (minor stuff) with nothing new broken.
GPS works... but it seems more sensitive (random re-routes)... but it might just be my imagination.
THANKS ming3r
What does it mean to make sure all my sensors are working? Is there some mod I need to flash to ensure gps, accelerometers, light sensors work?
Main question is, does HD Calling / advanced calling work on this ROM?
@dr_w
Make sure they're working means flashing a stock 39a ROM if you have not yet, and making sure it rotates a few times before flashing 39a jpc aosp.
I'm not sure if that works on aosp for us or not. Not quite sure there is a way to check.
I'm not sure how much more building I'll be doing for this, but my notes from running this for a few days was that it wasn't smooth enough for me. I frequently got app hangs and force closes for small things, but that may have been the madness caused by Google Play Services. I'm back to RR for now but maybe I'll throw in another build sometime.

Running great so far! Actually slightly better than the CM13 Rom, but nonetheless thank you VRToxin Team and Albinoman on being the first to release Marshmallow for S5!!!
Will edit post and report any bugs found as I will use as my Daily Driver for testing
Selecting the hardware button backlight option is settings causes a force close. Also root isn't available so you have to flash supersu too.
P.s. SD card access is fixed in this ROM. Shows up in gallery, apps etc.
Bugs. Browser fc, hardware button ,
after installing clean the rom stays for the last 20 min on starting applications without really starting the rom
I love this ROM so far. Can't wait for theme engine to be included. I like how smooth the animations are. So far everything works. Like @altojd said it does take a little minute to boot but after you wait. It is well worth it. Definitely more settings then the CM13 ROM and that's not to bash. I'm just letting my fellow members know that flashing the ROMs that we have currently and I support all devs and appreciate them a lot.
@DHackley does your included aosp browser in the ROM work? And what gapps did you flash?
@htb2050 the aosp browser works perfectly. I downloaded the gapps that are on vrtoxin website. Its about 300mb. If I'm not mistaken.
---------- Post added at 03:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:18 AM ----------
Logging in to different apps with the google one click bar button does not work. It stays idle but the Facebook one works. Just a heads up.
Hopefully, I'm obeying the law with this post.
@DHackley okay thanks. I was having issues. Iam going to format everything and start from scratch.
@super_extreme This isnt the place for requests but seeing as this is marshmallow and its a key feature, if its not already on your list of things to fix or integrate, add voice assistant to the hardware button options. It'd be the only way to fix now on tap.
Okay. Flashed the ROM then booted then flashed the vrtoxin gapps from the site but on boot the permissions aren't set. And it caused issues. Same with other gapps that I used. Permissions always fail to set whcih keeps on causing FCS.

Flash rom and gapps together as instructed: http://vrtoxin.net/installation/
@super_extreme did exactly like that. For now I flashed the other ROM gapps and after setting everything up deleted the system partition and then flashed this. The gapps settings seem to have sticked and its working great now. Thanks for the ROM.

Just wanted to further state. This is in testing/tasting... lol. You can sample all you like. Do not expect updates, answers to stupid questions, or ETAs. Simple. I will however try my hardest to keep this project updated with the help of some good people. This is super early to be released, and I was really surprised it even booted. Please enjoy. @PunkUnity I have FC on Settings app when I go to security and want to change lock screen type
should I attach logcat?
I couldn't get data working on ATT GSM
I couldn't get data working as well. I'm T-Mobile gsm
Also the running out of space dialog came up on start up, I have plenty of space.. This happened on cm13 on a few builds as well.
Could only install as a primary as well.
Otherwise. Love the new boot animation
Thanks for first One M8 6.0 layers ROM!!! Only few bugs i found is "storage space running out"(it was mentioned already) and low signal(gsm about 30-50% of bar). Mobile data is working btw.

What carrier do you have data working on? And could you please share your apn and other settings with everyone? The low storage thing is pretty annoying, but I'm sure it's getting ironed out.
New build up. Probably nothing new, but i was bored and ran a quick build.

At least data works for someone
Data working for me in the UK (GSM).
Bugs wise not enough data, some apps crash a lot like Tapatalk , and not quite as smooth as GPE. But completely understandable being an alpha/beta version. Great to have layers though.

I have someone who says they have data working on Verizon with my 2nd build.
New build up. There were some funky errors that I fixed. Most were commit picks, but one ended up a small bit of trickery/hackery. It shouldn't affect much. THIS IS a test build after all.
Ok so the issue of Ting LTE not working with CM13 ROMS has be bothering me for sometime now but this past weekend I finally found a fix for it.
Just as a side note the ROM I used with this fix was, OctOs Oct-MM R2 but in theory it should work with all CM13 ROMS for the L720. Also the tool I used is NOT MY WORK! It is the work of xda user, Deega and Buzbe2. I take no credit.
This fix requires the MVNO Slayer tool by Deega and Buzbe2 to work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65917850&postcount=30
These are the exact steps I took to flash the ROM and get data up and running.
1. Flash the CM13 ROM in twrp. (May work with CWM but i have not tested)
2. Without rebooting flash Gapps.
3. Reboot the device.
4. Once the device boots set up the device and wait for it to connect the cell tower. At this time you will not have data of any kind.
5. Reboot to recovery once more and flash MVNO Slayer. You must flash Buzbez2's version if you want Ting LTE.
6. Select the MVNO you wish and reboot.
7. Enjoy fully working LTE.
Screenshot of working Ting LTE on OctOS Oct-MM R2:

Worked for me, thanks!
I started at step 5 because I have been using CM13 for a few days already. My cellular network said “Sprint” and I could make and receive calls and texts but did not have LTE. Then I did steps 5 and 6 in this post and now my cellular network says “Ting” and LTE is working.

Just out of curiosity,

Also will this work with Resurrection Remix 7.1 rom? I dont really know if it is CM13 or not?

Try also getting the latest gapps because I tried a new ROM and it wouldn't work on my older gapps till I updated.
trying to install mvno slavyer made twrp freeze. It then rebooted into my custom rom without showing a menu. According to this some of the new TWRPs have issues with the aroma installer, I'll try an old one https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...hable-lte-fix-moto-e-6-x-boost-t3290719/page6

I just solved this but since you're curious
SM - G900P (Samsung Galaxy S5)
They'll both be on nougat
Resurrection Remix or Cyanogen 14.1, gonna go install the latter and see how it fares (I know there's Lineage now but last I checked there were only nightly builds for my phone, not stable)
Oh in that case, I want to suggest a ROM that I'm using. It is amazing and runs better but RR has amazing customization unlike JDCteam LineageOS. But it is highly optimized.
Yeah I'm currently using Lineage, had too many issues with RR. However, one issue im still having is the inability to send text messages. Everything else works, but I just can't send them. I've been looking for other fixes, but I can't find any specifically for ting. Have you guys had any luck?
I have built some roms. And after days test it works pretty stable.
Almost Everything works fine: camera phone nfc gps volte etc.
My XDA level isn't high enough to post this thread in development part (please help me )

No major issues right?
I'll flash it in an hour
Hey I'm on havoc right now
issues I'm facing
1.back gesture in gestured navigation doesn't work pill doesn't appear
2.I can't make calls but I can receive calls
I had this same issue on lineage os 17.1 but Didn't had this issue on lineage os 17(till September 21 build)
This is screenshot of my baseband version is it the issue?
Btw I'm in India using a jio sim which supports only calls through volte and it cannot switch to 3g as it has only 4g here

Only one. I think it belong device tree. I try to use dual sim on this rom but NOT STABILITY, TOO DIFFICULT TO SWITCH 4G, AND WHEN REBOOT SIM APPEAR AND DISAPPEAR. This problem is appear when i install lineage, pixel experience, and stock. But when i flash gsi, dual sim working normally, not bug, not thìn that make me complain. I hope maintainer, erfanoabdi, fengdoge.. can fix it.

Thank-you so much for providing this Havos-OS rom. I'm on Sprint XT1789-03, and it runs really really well, very stable and excellent battery life.

1. Have you found any serious/Small bugs?
2. Which Camera app are you using for taking Portrait.
3. Any wifi issues? Or Sim network issue?
4. Do you use telegram I am looking to forward to flash it.

No real bugs...one very minor thing...
There's no navigation bar at the bottom (system navigation). It seems to be set to the finger print "one button nav". I changed the navigation between gestures, 2 button or 3 button and it doesn't seem to matter...it's all the one button nav. Which isn't a big deal since that's what I used before anyways. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere.
2. Which Camera app are you using for taking Portrait.
I've tested many GCAMS but ended up with these two:

https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1089/
I can't remember which one I went with but stability has been great on this ROM. Also portrait mode actually works. Front cam, night mode, etc all work.
3. Any wifi issues? Or Sim network issue?
No Wifi Issues.
I'm on Sprint in the states. Everything is working including VoWifi.
I've tried a Mint Mobile sim (TMO MVNO) and everything works except wasn't able to get VoLTE. I wondering if I have to reset my network or factory reset? I didn't want to setup everything again so that'll have to be a test for another time.
4. Do you use telegram I am looking to forward to flash it.
Sorry don't use telegram.
