1) Flash any ftf from latest JB 4.3 0.4.1.B.0.109
2) Root and install a recovery
3) Flash this patch in recovery

hi bro, can i use this for xperia tab z 4.3 10.1.B.0101? i badly needed an audio enhancement but purexaudio definitely needs a deodex rom. so, i am hoping this could do the job.

Nope. The .101 fw is for the LTE version, and if you flash this you might have some problems...

Kitkat bootanimation without sound?

hi everyone,
i know maybe not worth open a thread for this but i did search and didn't find a clue!
well, simply, I updated my Z1 using PC Companion but the new kitkat bootanimation was without sound. all my volumes, esp Media are set to max.. i already have my own threads of KK Bootanim+sound that i did for some Xperia from (2011-2012) and i'm wondering why in Z1 came without sound?
anyone have an idea why?

I don't think so
No Sony bootanimation has had sound (AFAIK) since my old k750i (Which was not android)

But, is it possible to add a bootsound? Like it was on samsung?

lol, i meant when the new Sony Kitkat bootanimation was leaked, i made it available for some Xperia from 2011-2012.. and i remember it has sound.. it's same like PS3 or PS4 bootanimation.
why in Z1 came without sound?

yeah possible with ROOT only!

Try my Z2 bootanimation. It's the same as the one from the Z1's kitkat.

before you proceed with ROOT! PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS carefully, any mistake could lead to a damage!
the link below is showing how to root on Locked/Unlocked Bootloader... I just Rooted mine this morning (i'm locked bootloader). took me couple of hours including downloads... and now i'm ROOTED to the latest available kitkat build .757

I was meaning the mode to add sound to the bootanim not how to get rooted. I am already rooted.

I think there was an app for it on stock. As far as I know it does not work on CM based ROMs. Try to google it.

Screencast is part of AOSP source code, so theorically should be available in all CM/CM-based ROMs

You say any Gapps do not fit in /system/. Is this because you used the partition tool or does it take that much space? How much space does the rom take?

Oh, I didn't think about that D: Sorry if this is not acceptable.
BTW, the ROM takes 306 MB, this is why I cannot install GApps.......Maybe

I tried it on d415. Gapps wouldn't install cuz it was too big. But it loaded and ran fine otherwise. Can't wait to try it out for real.

Reporting the exact same bugs as Shady. Also music force closes on me and File Manager has the need permissions bug. When I try to activate root it turns back off, but I dont think I captured it. Also multiwindow works great! I got a logcat in case anyone (especially @Quarx) can take a look at me opening File Manager, Music, Camera, downloading a pic in Browser, and testing multiwindow

I never flashed this Rom. I just posted it here.
But if there is no scatter.txt then it should work with the stock one.
In the scatter.txt there are only the paths to the different partitions. And the partitions are the same , no matter which rom.
So it should work with the stock one.

My scatter file doesn´t work?
Took the one from stock rom - I only get an error message. I tried Flashtool and SPMD. I also can´t read teh stock scatter file. Only the Eragon scatter file works....?

Please, i need Help. I have the Version 4.5.3 flashed and the Rom is working..now i have TWRP flashed and the Version 4.5.4 installed . Now my Handy have Bootloop. Please can anywhere help me ?
