Thanks Johny, i followed every single step but still failed to power up the phone.
Even replaced with another battery, combination of power + up or down volume + home button, or even holding power button for 30s or 60s,...the phone still still still does not react to that. That's why I am wondering how could the phone could start from the microsd because it does not power up.
Any suggestion ?
Thanks,
Just to be clear about @cheaterel s steps 1.remove battery
2. Insert sd card (must be class 10)
3. Put back battery back
4.plug in usb cable
5. Press and hold power up till phone starts to vibrate
It shld be few burns till you power it up

I'm using a 64gb micro sd xc class 10 card and I can't seem to boot from it. My g900f is still dead. Do I need a card with the same internal memory?
I'm following every instruction as you said.
Thanks
great
Never needed to use a debrick, but many thanks for supplying us with one! Always like to keep this at hand. You never know "if" you'll need it.
I would like to also add that there is a way to flash your card through odin but before you do that you have to have a working phone. In my particular case I happen to have two of the same phone. So I keep an SD card that I flashed using the working phone as that failsafe backup card. I'd recommend doing it before anyone does any flashing roms,bootloaders or modems.

Is there any way to do this without using PC and card reader?
Cuz I unfortunatly have a desktop PC. not a laptop, and I dont have card reader.
ok i tried alot of times but this isnt just working everytime same damn errors
not a good tut
seirous fix the files!
did u ever get it fixed??
I don't think anyone has posted a tutorial for this on XDA yet (apologies if they have!!!) and the Google Translate of Mur4ik's original instructions on 4PDA is pretty poor so here's what I did to get my phone set up.
What does this do?
This process flashes a modified KDZ which will change the way your phone's memory is partitioned. The result will be that you have 234mb of internal storage for your apps, 150mb for the system and 64mb for cache.
According to Mur4ik, this is the optimum allocation of memory for best performance.
Once this process has been done, any ROM that you flash will have more internal storage space without any further modification. You should not flash a data2system rom.
With this method you will still be able to apply update.zip files with recovery (like Mur4ik's rom updates). This feature does not work on data2system roms.
Things you'll need:
1) KDZ Updater
2) Mur4ik's modified KDZ (MD5SUM: e582d471ed9aede3dd9279b20f7a948c)
Assumptions:
1) You know how to back up your ROM
2) You have access to a Windows PC with drivers installed for your phone
First of all you should back up your current ROM with recovery.
OK, let's get started:
Turn the phone off, remove the battery, SIM & SD Card.
While holding Volume-Down, connect the phone to your PC and run KDZ Updater. The phone display will show "Download Mode".
Select "CS_Emergency" Phonemode in KDZ Updater and select the "20E 234 150 64.kdz" KDZ file downloaded above. Then click "Launch software update"
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The update will now start. During the update the phone screen will display "Download Mode" and eventually an animation of the battery cover being replaced. At this point you can disconnect the phone and replace your SIM, SD Card and battery *
Put your phone into fastboot mode (hold Camera and press Power) - the fastboot screen will now be BLUE and have white text displayed on it (this is correct).
Connect to your PC and in a terminal type:
Code:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
flash recovery back on to your phone
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Boot your phone into fastboot or recovery
Your phone is now ready to go and you can either restore a backup with recovery or flash a ROM with fastboot. You must be sure that your backup or fastboot images do not exceed the sizes stated above. So, your system.img must not be larger than 150mb, your data.img must not be larger than 234mb and your cache.img no larger than 64mb.
Note: If you were already using a data2system rom and want to restore your backup after carrying out this process then you must do the following in the backup's folder on your sdcard:
- replace your boot.img with one from a standard version of your rom (i.e. non-data2system)
- rename your "data.img" to "system.img" and your "system.img" to "data.img"
- delete the file "nandroid.md5"
- open an adb shell (or run terminal on your phone) and type "su" <enter>, "cd" to the backup folder, type "md5sum *.img > nandroid.md5" <enter>
- you can then restore the backup with recovery.
How to restore your phone to standard memory allocation?
Follow the steps above but use any standard fastboot enabled kdz (like this one). Then flash your rom or restore your backup - just remember you now have a smaller data partition
Special thanks to Mur4ik, EazyLuke & M1st3r1
You do of course follow these instructons at your own risk. Have fun!
*For me, the update process continued successfully beyond this point but some people have reported errors after the animation appeared so it is safer to remove the USB cable here.
many thanks for your tutorial!

This method means you can flash any custom rom and it will be data2system automatically instead of having to wait for someone to convert it. Plus you can use your existing backups.

I think it's fine if it stops at 212, as far as I remember mine stopped also at 212.
Do you do the process without the battery? (you should)
And at some point the phone shows an animation that tells to put the battery back in. I think at this point it's finished.
Try downloading the kdz from this mirror:

This happened to me as well. I fixed it by putting sim, sdcard and battery back-in.
Then re-booted to fastboot using camera button + inserting usb cable. Fastboot came up with blue screen.
Then I ran in cmd
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
rebooted to fastboot again
then flashed M4 using fastboot and then rebooted and I got my phone back.
Phone showed 234mb of storage free on re-boot
If this behaviour is confirmed then I'll add it to the guide. Mine flashed without error...

to create a partition on your SD card,firstly make a copy of it, IE back it up!
ie; insert sd card into sd card reader, goto my computer, right click on drive letter which has your sd card in, and copy, paste it to a folder of your choice somewhere on your computer.
this way it allows you to recover your sd card contents if all is lost....
I used mini-tool partition wizard, free download from the net.

Kanded - Do you know if there is any difference between the O2 UK and Europe versions? Is is just that one is branded and the other isn't or are there other changes?
European is as it states, French, Spanish etc. Best use the UK as its more usable with modern languages lol.
I believe the ruu's listed are standard roms in the areas they sell this handset. Alot of users convert to UK, as markets available more lol

Hello there,
I have a 2gigs sd card. I formated as 756mb ext2 and the rest as fat32. The case is that the CWM can't see the sd card when I do so. Therefore I cannot flash htc-data2sd.
Any clues?
Done, I now over 800mb free space. I didn't wipe data cache etc. I just flashed over my current rom and its fine.

The situation is like this,
first am new to the android world and i was reckless i know, but some help would be nice
Case:
-Device: Xperia X8
-Rom: Stock 2.1
-USB Debugging Enabled
-Root (SuperOneClick)
-BusyBox v1.18.4
-Bootloader locked ( default state didn't touch it so its locked i guess)
-No Recovery of any kind
-** Very Important to keep the files, so please no solutions includes wiping the internal memory
What happen:
i was using "Font installer" app to change fonts and accidentally replaced "ALL" the font files in "System/Fonts" and that led the device not to boot now stuck on "Sony Ericsson" black screen
So:
- I think i need a copy of the original "System/Fonts" of any Xperia X8, if you guys can upload?
- and i need to know how can i access the phone internal memory so i can replace the content of "System/Fonts" with the new files
Thanks In Advance

Then I guess you are outta luck.. You have to re-flash your ROM. That'll delete data from internal memory. Data on SD Card will be safe..
May be you can use adb to push folder or files you want to its location. It will save your precious data.

@medomoo - There might be a way to access the internal memory with specialized equipment, but don't quote me on that one. Go to a phone repair shop or try talking directly to Sony.
The only thing you can do by yourself now is close your eyes and lose the information. You screwed things up really badly with no backup and no recovery. Learn, let it go and move on.

Thank you, But why i cant get root access in ADB
Let's put it another way. When your PC freezes, is there anything you can do to manipulate the files? No. Let's take one step further: when you get the blue screen of death while starting the system, is there anything you can do to anything inside your harddrive? No.
It's the same with your phone. Your phone is freezed even before mounting all of the partitions fully and correctly. So, ADB will do nothing. In short, in this regard, there's nothing you can do.
So, take your phone directly to Sony or to a phone repair shop. Or just lose the information.
OK lets say am going to flash a new ROM,
BTW just to take a lesson from that:- what is the safety steps i should take to prevent situation like this from happening again etc what kind of recovery and what else than recovery i can do ??
Backup all apps through titanium backup. And always make nandroid backup through recovery. Its advantage is that if you messed with your phone(like in this case) you can recover backup and you get your old phone back (with data of any kind).

Thank god, its working now and didn't have to flash new ROM and all my files are save,
1- Got "Shell Root" with SuperOneClick v2.3.3
2- Used "Android Commander" to push the Original Fonts to its place. and done.
Thanks everyone
I tried to flash CM on my Galaxy S.
I followed after the instructions in the CM wiki but now, when it says to do
Code:
adb push YOURROMZIP.zip /sdcard/
, it says "Error: device not found".
The instructions says that this is an driver issue.
What to do? Because currently my device is in boot loop (I can go to Recovery+Download modes).
It should work in cwm recovery

I know that it should, but it don't.
In cwm there should be Mounts And storage tab. And there choose Mount usb Storage. Then attach your Phone to computer with usb cable. Then it should be in removable disk

Still not showing up (On adb and as a removable drive).
Does your usb cable work

I don't know how to install it... It saying "Install new drivers" but it doesn't saying how to.
I need my phone :crying:
(I'm a bit newbie )
You think that I can move the zip file to an external SD card and put the SD card in the device? I need an micro SD card adapter for moving the file, right?

Yes, you can move zip to SD card and you need SD card adapter too :good:
I've found drivers for the phone. If you need them follow this.
1. Make sure that you dont have any drivers installed.
2. Check that your phone is not attached to your computer.
3. Go to this page http://developer.samsung.com/android/tools-sdks/Samsung-Andorid-USB-Driver-for-Windows
4. Then click there
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. Download will start.
6. Then extract it with WinRAR etc.
7. After that install drivers.
8. Wait until its completed.
9. Restart your computer.
10. And after all steps you can plug your phone to computer.:good:
Now adb should work
It didn't worked before and it's not working now.
I will just buy a Micro SD card and an adapter. (Much easier)
Ok

Hey, take it easy and don't worry.... With working download and recovery mode you have all you need, your phone will be perfectly fine. Which recovery and which version?
The command you have posted in the opening post is for pushing a file from ADB folder to your phone. So for that command you must
have installed ADB on your PC
have installed Samsung USB driver
have installed drivers of your phone (by simply connecting it and waiting for about 1 min until it automatically gets installed)
If you have copied the file to your folder where the ADB and fastboot exe applications are (normally under SDK/platform-tools) you should navigate to your folder first, for example if you put your SDK to the folder "ANDROID" on your main HDD ("C") it looks like this:
Code:
Ctrl+R
cd c:\android\sdk\platform-tools [I](enter)[/I]
adb push YOURZIP'SEXACTLYWRITTENNAME.zip /sdcard/download [I](enter)[/I]
So this command would copy (push) the zip file from your PC (from the folder where you have first navigated to) to folder "download" on the internal SD card of your phone.
If not sure if your device is connected to the ADB, try first this:
Code:
Ctrl+R
cd c:\android\sdk\platform-tools [I](enter)[/I]
adb devices [I](enter)[/I]
The echo should look like:
bla bla bla
39123(just example)456789. .device
(the bolded text is important, only by such return you would have the correctly working connection)
If you have uninstalled Samsung USB driver, you can find download link in my thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2444308
You will find there all other information how to unbrick your phone. Actually it isn't even bricked, you just need to install any ROM now. Please post in my thread if you have questions. So I will see it instantly in my Tapatalk, as I will be a lot traveling around next few days.
The SD card is working, but now the phone is stuck in installation. It's always booting, going to the CWM-Based CM recovery and showing a red triangle and start over.It's working! But I need gapps... The gapps package through Goo.im is broken. I need one. (I can't live without apps!) I have CM 10.2.1
