Best battery/performance ROM? - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I've tried many different ROMs but not sure which one is the best. I own a z1 c6906 unlocked bootloader with twrp recovery. I am running cm12.1 right now just because the performance is great on it but the battery is not as good as stock. Does the stock ROM give the most battery life? Cause I once got 3hrs 30 mins at 55% of sot on stock and I never got the same stats on other ones
Any suggestions would be great

I am Using MX 7.5.0 STock based Rom with Advanced Kernel 15.0 For Over 3 Weeks Now. Stable with great Performance and Good Battery (You have to Debloat and Remove Some Pre Installed Apps For Best battery Backup).
I get 5-7 Hours of Screen Time when using 3G/Wifi . I am Satisfied with this Setup.

rooted 4.1.2...what next??

i have successfully rooted my phone tonight (jb 4.1.2 rooted) and was wondering how to get twrp on my phone so i could play with roms. if anyone can help please let me know. i have tried razorhd recovery flasher with no success.
got safestrap 3.11 installed and gonna play with a rom.
Cyanogen Mod is really good and reliable. I had liquid Smooth for a couple months but it kept restarting. I want to try Carbon but I'm having too much fun with CM. CM may be a little more basic but it works. Good luck.

One more thing. Download goo manager. I wouldn't recommend flashing and rebooting from there but it'll definitely give you the most current "popular" ROMs and gapps.

hows the battery life on cm10.1.3? when i was running stock 4.1.2 i would get 3 hours max batt. life, liquid smooth was terrible in performance, major lags, batt. life there was around 6 hours, carbon has the performance i needed with extraordinary batt. life at around 9-10 hours with minimal use. would i get a better batt life with cm?

If I didn't touch my phone, I can get around 10-14 hours on the CM rom. If I use it periodically, 8-10hrs. Keep in mind, you can always hybernate specific apps that run in the background using Greenify. Performance is pretty good. I don't get any wierd lags or crazy color flashes on my screen. I haven't tried Carbon but I may switch over in a couple months just to try something new. Overall, CM is a very good product.

[Q] Note GT-N7000 Root Battery Problems

Hi,
Yesterday i rooted my Galaxy Note using the LiveNote ROM.
The ROM itself is very good, very smooth and retaining that Touchwiz look that i love but i have found it have serious effects on my battery life. The battery life is diabolical, only lasting 1 hour and 22 minutes of screen time, half of which i was using wifi. Before the root, my battery was not good anyway, only lasting about 3 hours screentime but this new ROM has pretty much crippled my phone.
What i want to know is this, is there any way of keeping this ROM but vastly improving battery life, say to where i was before at around 3 hours screentime? OR perhaps is there another ROM with decent performance, using the Touchwiz interface and also having good battery life?
The phone is running Jellybean 4.1.2 and i am using Philz.
Regards
James

There is a way:
Start reading the uncountable (and mostly idiotic) threads about bad battery life after flashing a ROM.
Or read threads about battery life when the baterry is older than a year.
If that is too difficult or if you are too lazy then please stay on stock ROM - not only the life of the battery will benefit from it.

I do agree mostly with the previous reply.
Still, Sweet Rom 10.5 has good batery life and performance. Live Note seems to come with c.o.h kernel which has Gpu OC. Unless you have change kernel that may affected batery.

Best battery performance/screen-on-time in different ROMs?

What ROM has given you the best battery performance on your OP3?
Please give as much details as you can of your usage, sot, idle and screen on drain per hour, rom, kernel, root/xposed etc.
On Cm13 myself and getting roughly 3hrs 5%/h idle drain and about 33% screen on drain.
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for the best rom for battery life and so far out of stock, CM13 and paranoid the one that came out on top was Pacman with a solid 5-6 hours SOT.
I have a couple of xposed modules and use greenify and amplify and doze.

Nice Might give it a go after I try OP3 Lite :good:

Best ROM that saves battery

As you all know with the Nougat update the battery life has become terrible for most of the users. So I'm making this thread so that we could list ROMs that still give that original battery life before the Nougat update. Both Marshmallow and Nougat ROMs are welcome. GO!

Already discussed here
Stock oos (beta also) and Franco kernel
My battery life with oos non beta was better with flash kernel instead of franco kernel, device also felt faster.
Im currently on LOS (Tugapower) and battery life is decent as well.
But from what i heard so far it seems that CM13 was best for battery, but i have no personal experience with that on OPO3T
OOS ROM + blu spark kernel

I have no problem with battery life. 3 days without charging, 6 hours sot and still juice left... Wouldn't call that terrible

Agreed.
I finally found a rom+kernel combo that works the best for me. FreedomOS-CE-2.8 + blu spark 3.18.31-blu_spark-OOS (r112)

CM13 user for almost 5 months. Have hit 14 hours SOT before on a single charge. Have never gotten less than 10 hours SOT and average almost 12.

My batterylife is great, 5-6 hours SOT and 24 hrs. off the charger. BTW the best roms for stellar battery life are the ones that have no user installed apps, disable auto-sync, screen brightness set on 10% and only use wifi connections But then why would you buy a smartphone?

Do you have gapps installed and are you on 3g/4G or just WIFI ?
who's going call this terrible battery life in nugget?
that's beta6+franko23 with 4g all the time
I get nothing similar to these results. I've got freedom OS latest beta 6 and bluspark 125 and I can barely get 5 hours of SOT even with brightness really low and only on WiFi
Stock OOS 4.1.3 with franco kernel.
2 hours SOT
22 hours up time
61% remaining
4g only, no Wifi
I am using 3 uk 4g I live in London
I got the same problem , one plus 3t tried all ROMs all kernels , I bought franko kernel app from market and ex kernel , so I got the pro version, I can't get more then 3 hours I don't know if is my device or my battery, I tried a tutorial to disable all Google sync's and Google now and more services , I don't know what to try , I think the battery is not equal made from this Chinese company,
My nexus 6 is non rooted latest firmware 7.1.1 latest security patch I got 3.20 hours screen on time, so I am wondering where is that power efficiency of Snapdragon 821 processor?
Next time I will not buy anymore that (flagship ) device
Also super big screen burn
For £120 I can get Moto g plus dual SIM with Snapdragon 625 super power efficiency I can get 6 hours screen on time , also dual SIM .
Flagship killer

Perhaps LineAge from sultanxda is a good choice. I heard, that it has great battery life. Still testing, seems good.
It seems that battery life is inconsistent. Maybe they were shipping with different battery units, different brand, factory or something? For ma total max is 5h SoT in 20-24h.
Sultan FTW!!!!

is it just me or does oreo battery life suck.?

So switched over finally to oreo 2 months ago on OB. Flashed every oos kernel and battery life just seems to suck compared to nougat. Sot has dropped significantly and idle drain is through the roof. I was getting 0.1-0.2%/hr idle drain on nougat and over 8 hours sot every day on nougat, happened to be running the Xceed kernel as well. Is it just me or does everyone seem to have this issue? Because, to be honest, a decrease from at least 8 hours sot to 4 hours is making me say f* the new awesome features and go back to nougat and get my battery life and performance back.
What kernel are you using ?
I have used boffela and Render zenith both gives me good battery backup and standby .. currently on Render zenith as it has EAS and providing me with amazing battery backup .. Just flash it and give some time like 2 days .you can see the difference... Custom roms most of them I have tried but not satisfied with the battery backup so moved to open beta

Currently on Renderzenith as well. So far the best for battery life under my usage. I know it differs from person to person but a decrease by half is not something I can consider an improvement.
