It's not working. When I set it on, then change a setting (color calibration or the color temperature) it doesn't do anything, even with a reboot. Any idea why ?

The slider for night will only show a difference at night and the same with the one for day. Drag and release to see the difference

I have noticed that I need to turn on adaptive display to fully dim my screen. Is this normal?
Thanks

Do you guys have the purple tint when on low brightness?
It looks bad for me, everything turns purpleish, especially the grey and the white parts.

Yeah but only with adaptive display on. it doesn't bother me.
Pretty sure Arstechnica pointed out that the purple only appears at brightness settings not available on other phones.
My clock on the always on screen is sometimes so dim that i can barley see it. Other times its off and other simes it if normal brightness. ANy ideas why this would be happening?
Don't know about the dim, but it's off during certain times. The option is in settings.

i think it may be to do with time of day. Mine does the same, it seems to be dimmer through the day time.

Mine does the same. It appears to be auto-dimming based on the ambient light sensor.

You have some many more options on that screen than I do.
Edit, figured it out. Face widgets option is not available with screen lock type being set to none.
OP. My aod dims according to light ambience in the room.

If your display is set to Adaptive Mode, your screen will change the screen tone (including white) based on your surroundings, just like the True Tone feature on the iPhone X.

Well, I have A6 plus, but I don't have experienced like what you wrote. I can only making it manual in Adaptive Mode. Do I need switch on/off something to work it automatically?

Well, the screen tone changing is barely noticeable unless you compare when you go from one place to another. I have my screen mode on Adaptive Mode and the full screen color balance is on the middle.
Thank you. Also what I don't understand, if I'm using other screen mode like Adaptive, and when I switch on the Blue light filter, it switches back to Adaptive mode with that tiring vivid colour. Why it's just don't apply the Blue light filter in the applied Screen mode? Meh...
Good evening all.
Is there a notification led on the front of the Rog Phone 2?
And if it is, is it a monochrome led or a multicolor led? If it's a multicolor led, can I modify the color based of notification (WhatsApp message, Facebook Message, GMAIL, SMS, Lost Call, etc.) ?
Thanks in advice
Yeah. It is multicolor. I think you can set it based off of the apps but I haven't checked. Also the logo on the back serves as a notification light if you set it up. But I think it might be buggy as of now.

Yes there is and it's multi color, you can change the color for apps if you use a 3rd party app like light flow. You can only set the color to 1 of 3 colors i believe (Red,Green,Yellow). The default system notification color is green.

If you keep it on a table or bed next to you, is the LED visible if you glance at it? My earlier LG G Pro 2 has a very prominent LED. But the newer phones seem to have a LED that is so tiny and faint that you can hardly see it blinking or glowing unless you hold it right in your hand close to your face. I think it must be the same as this ASUS ROG II phone too. All the Huaweis and Xiaomis that do claim to have LEDs have the useless invisible microscopic LEDs.

Depends on height difference between your night stand and bed, but it's very visible for me when glancing over from bed. Forgot how much I missed having a notification LED!

Had a a OnePlus 6, then switch over to a pixel 3a which was great, but not very exciting
Hey guys, hope you are doing great.
I have noticed one peculiar thing, when i sit in pitch dark places with brightness at the end, i face this white issue over my display screen shot attached, it's Google chrome app which showing me these results,(there are many more also)for this to be noticed you must sit in a dark room.
I know it's typical led panel issue and i would like to know if i am the only one?
Do you seriously think we are able to see your display in a screenshot?

If you are in a pitch dark room and see no anamoly then your's display is good. If not you will see a whitish tint over the top area
And btw you can check on your device itself, by just opening chrome(if it's black) and in dark room with brightness as low as possible.

Enable feature in display settings under anti flicker mode to on. and check again your screen in low light conditions.
Yup, that worked, it increase overall contrast for low brightness, is this condition(tint) is normal for amoled panel, or i am just unlucky.
