Flashing ROMs - Sprint HTC One (M8)

Hi, I want to know if it's possible to flash the international variant ROM or GPEon my phone. It is gsm unlock and also s-off.

You can flash any rom that has Sprint compatibility build into it.

I am on 4.4.3 (viper 2.3) but I am having issues installing to stock lollipop ROM, the RUU setup does not finish installing. Is there a stock zip file to use?

You'll have to search around the mods section. I'm 99% sure there's an international version of the GPE for the M8.

Hi.

Hi don't know if any one was herel lol soo I have a HTC evo lte Sprint and a HTC one m8 also Sprint how do I get cyanogen to flash on the Evo with s on. And now if I root the m8 still thinking about it... How will i flash say the new marshmallow jw build that's on XDA? Or any Rom for that matter with s-on cuz I'm not sure if I'll get it turned off on the m8?

From what I've read you just have to go to htcdevv unlock your device. Then go to twrp install then choose ROM.

You should really be asking Evo 4G Lte questions in that sections Q&A.
The reason it bootloops is because you need to flash the kernel/boot.img aswell as the rom when that device is s-on.
@Magnum_Enforcer has a great guide on how to do that in the Evo 4G Lte General section.

Check out my Hboot guide for the EVO LTE. Link is in my signature. It has a section on S-on kernel flashing. Read & follow the directions and you should be good to go.

Sprint GPE port ROM works with international GSM fine with me.

[Developer Request] Verizon HTC One needs help

Us over at the Verizon HTC One need to know if you guys have S-Off, and we need an RUU or the stock recovery image. Preferably an RUU.
If anyone can get us that, it would help many people who are in quite a predicament as well as help us get custom ROMs working.
S-off is the same as all other HTC devices through HTC dev website or checkout the moonshine thread on sprint HTC ONE section and read up

We don't have s-off yet and bootloader unlock has been blocked by Verizon. So, can anybody get us a recovery image?
You have to ask the devs from twrp for help

Some Q's

I was wondering if this was the HTC one international section of xda? And I also have the att version of the HTC one and was wondering if I could flash the international Roms/recoveries, with 0 problems. If so please tell me without being mean. I'm coming from an s4 and I'm just a little confused. Because I never had to flash roms from other carriers than att. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, you can use the twrp of the One (i advice the 2.6.3.3) and some roms are compatible, for example the ViperOne is compatible is the best rom (for me) on xda

i tried some method from other thread, one is to re-lock the bootloader, I thought if i re-lock it, it becomes officially locked and then it will be able to update. after typing this command : "fastboot oem lock" it re-locked but i couldn't start my phone again it stuck in bootloader and no way to start it, when i saw it will take long time to got fixed and since i have an exam tomorrow and i got an urgent call to make i decide to re-unlocked it using htcdev method suddenly that wiped the sh** out of my phone, I forgot that is gonna happen and i didn't make a recovery.
the best part of this story is the feeling of getting a new cellphone :laugh::laugh::laugh:

I will go through that thread again tomorrow, i will not make a backup recovery because i have a new phone and i have nothing to lose.

I hope you can fix it. You can always flash the ROM manually if you can enter the download mode, you know. Just make sure the ROM is compatible with your model 901e or 901s.
What's the new phone you got? Is it better?

If it's 4G it's 901s. Well, I don't really care about 4G here because it just started here and it is 3G with another name and price, the carriers are cheating here and it won't be really 4G till Q2 2014.

I don't care about 4G, i'm very happy with 3G it is more than enough for me, i use wifi all the time when im home and when i go somewhere i found a wifi network. while i'm driving, 2g is enough for chatting and checking emails.

One of the advantages with being s-off is you don't have to take the OTA.
Just flash the 3.05.651.6 firmware then the 4.05.651.4 firmware from post 3 in the BadBoyz thread.
The reason I say flash both is because the 4.06 firmware does not have a radio.
Doing it this way you won't loose anything.

I always flash the modified firmware I don't loose anything.
The only way you will loose stuff is if you re-lock your bootloader which you don't have to do since you are s-off.
If you decide to use the unmodified firmware make sure you are on a 4.06.651.4 rom first or it won't boot properly.

[ROM][WIP] AdvancedStock626/CM12 Hybrid Mod

So for the past few days I have been trying to compile CM12 for our phone. It has failed multiple times, always stuck on the boot loader.
So I have decided a hybrid ROM is better than no ROM.
I do not have a flashable zip yet, but I plan to release soon.
The hybrid ROM will be based off the stock ROM, but will have CM12 apps, framework, and libs.
I will need testers who are not afraid of a boot loop and can handle the possibility of needing the RUU to get back to stock(even though that is 99.99% unlikely.)
Right now I got this hybrid ROM to get to a boot animation, but because lollipop requires user permissions to load adb, I have not been able to get a logcat.
Any help at all would be fantastic.
