If you like blacked out background and apps, and blue text, then Blue Chrome is well worth the $1.99. Lots of apps blacked out, including inbox.

I am having a little trouble figuring something out ... I have a theme file and I love it, but when I try to read my text messages, the theme makes the background of the text messages have dark colored lines that fade from right to left as the background and it's hard to read the messages. I can't seem to figure out what colors are causing this to change them to something lighter (or make it just a blank background). Any suggestions?
I'm using the AT&T Tilt with the purple theme found here:

When I click the individual messages, I get the basic white background and that's fine, but I really would rather have a white bg (or at least lighter purple stripes so I can read it easier) on the page that lists the text messages.
Search the forums for a program called 'RC Bar'. It will allow you to change the background color for the text messages, along with the color of most other things like the top & bottom bars, today text, start menu text, etc.
I had the same problem, all you need to do is change the theme and change it back. That should solve the problem.
Hello,
I'm looking for a messaging app that is very dark, white test on black background, with the important part being a dark colored keyboard. While handcent can be used to make the dark background, it can't do anything about the keyboard, still using the very bright white/grey default.
The reason for this is wanting to send texts in low light settings without extreme eyestrain or distracting others (i.e. a quick message while in a movie)
Anyone know of anything?
Like you said handcent can be made to have a dark look, as far as keyboard you will have to look in the market for a keyboard of your liking. Better yet search for the HTC_IME thread and you'll find that there is an online kitchen to create custom keyboard skins.
This might be more than what you want to do, but if you were flash the cyanogenmod6 the default keyboard is a combination of black and dark gray with white text. Its very nice looking
MessagEase keyboard is black and grey.
Switch to the gingerbread keyboard
Download GoSMS, use the dark theme with the notification bubbles, and download the Gingerbread keyboard for Smart Keyboard Pro.
Is there a way to get rid of the blue/black colour scheme on the Omnia 2. I find it hard to read dark blue text on a black background, This happens using mail and a few other 3rd party apps.
Thanks
Would anyone happen to have a collection of themed messaging icons (stock, handcent, any others)? I cant seem to find any for handcent, especially. I am looking for basic colors such as red, black, blue, orange, etc.
Thanks!
Sometimes, the background on my email application renders white or black background and if I switch the font colour to white, the email text appear invisible if the font colour is the same with the background.
