Then I have to touch and drag that icon, then put my fingerprint on the bottom button,
How do I make it so I only have to use the fingerprint sensor and not have to touch the screen?

Smart lock

It means your phone hasn't locked yet. Could be because the timeout set before it locks hasn't yet expired or smart lock is keeping your phone unlocked. When that padlock is visible you can swipe anywhere on the locksceen to get into your phone.

[Q] how to modify the transparent screen lock?

not unlock pattern, but the "transparent film" i called it with the date/time on the bottom and the at&t logo on the upper right, that you slide to access your phone.
this is one of my favorite features.
is it possible to get rid of the at&t logo on it? my i897 is rooted
Take your SIM card out.
Other than that, I don't think that it's that easy to get rid of it.
you can upgrade to I9000 firmware and get this

Where is smart lock and ability to change users located?

Its been two weeks and i cannot for the life of me find where the smart lock feature is on this phone after the 5.0 update. My trusted agent in security is greyed out. I have a pin for my screen lock and the most recent google play and google services. What am i missing?
Really loved this feature on the nexus 5.
Does the s5 have the ability to change users ?
Go to settings, security, then scroll all the way to the bottom. Smart lock is there and so is other things like pin window.

see through bars on screen (top and bottom) when charging

When I charge my note 8 (wireless or wired), sometimes I get these bars on the top and bottom of the screen that stay on and don't go away until i unlock the device. This is so annoying and could potentially burn the screen if left over night. This happens with 'always on display' on AND off. does anyone knows what is causing this?
Thanks

Finger print sensor vibrate on unlocking?

I dropped my new P20 Pro this morning and managed to scuff and crack the corner of the screen, I'm sure it used to vibrate when the finger print sensor was used to unlock the phone but I'm not sure if I just imagined that? Does it actually do that or have I buggered something inside the device when I've dropped it?
CHeers
Check in your setting the navigation button vibration if it's on or off

Fingerprint icon show whenever I lift my phone. Annoying

Is it possible to stop the fingerprint icon from showing whenever I lift the phone? I don't need it to show every time... It's annoying. I only want it to show when I press the screen
Have you done this?
Search for "wake" in settings.
It still flashes fingerprint icon / activate the screen occasionally but alot less.
