Oh you mean for adb connectivity? You can put the phone into bootloader mode for a fastboot connection
yoh cant connect to adb while in the bootloader, only fastboot.

if you are in a bootloop, and can not boot up to enable oem unlock in the dev options, then you have essentially a bricked device, nothing can be done. if oem unlocking is enabled, you can unlock your bootloader and flash a factory image.
---------- Post added at 05:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:03 PM ----------
however, you are on 5.0.1. you can still unlock your bootloader with fastboot and then flash the factory image for m.

Hello,
I was using my Nexus 6 normally when it froze up so I just rebooted it. When I rebooted it, it entered an endless loop which I can't resolve. I can power/volume down to get to the bootloader screen, but when I try to boot into recovery, I get the TWRP screen but it ask for me to enter my passcode and my screen isn't active so I can't. I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
@surefooted
First, from bootloader, use the following fastboot commands:
fastboot format cache
fastboot format userdata
---------- Post added at 08:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 PM ----------
For the password, just enter it normally on the TWRP keyboard.

thanks for the reply!
It just says waiting for device when I try the fastboot commands.
Also, the keyboard isn't active at all when I get to the TWRP keyboard. And if the screen sleeps, I get a "swipe to unlock for TWRP and can't do that either due to the screen not active.

Hmm It's not listed in device manager.
What OS is on your PC? The problem is that your PC is not "seeing" the device in fastboot.

If on Windows 8.1, you have to disable driver signature checking.

Are you using the SDK or fastboot installed via 15 second installer? Is device recognized in ADB?

Place file on your desktop. Hold shift and right click on desktop. Select open command prompt here.
Maybe a stupid question. Did you plug the phone into the same port you always use? My computer only recognizes my phone on one port. Then try fastboot commands.
I'm sure i can get it to recognize on the other ports but didn't feel like troubleshooting that far.

Give it a reboot if you're getting not recognised as a command message.
Hey,
So long story short, I'm stuck on lollipop, rooted but OEM unlock off. I can't boot into the phone or recovery as it says custom binary blocked by FRP lock, but I can boot into download mode and be picked up by odin (tried flashing but without OEM unlock it doesn't work).
I can't restore using kies or smartswitch as they both say 'SM-N920C does not support initializing' when I try the firmware upgrade and initialisation option.
Any idea?
You have to use Odin to flash your stock rom again in download mode then it will work as you have turned off your OEM so never turn off the oem after rooting....

Very strange! I was trying this all day yesterday and only getting errors I'd never encountered before, just tried it now and it worked
im trying to enable OEM option in my huawei 5c but i cant enable it. It stopped working when i updated my phone to android 7.0 and emui 5.0 so what can i do? im trying to enable bootloader but i cant do it. I tried to flash twrp but i cant flash it and i tried command fastboot oem unlock (and my code) it didnt work. anyone know how to fix this?
Hello, hey man, yo have to fastboot oem relock 1234567890(your code), to relock your bootloader, after relock, you will be able to turn on OEM Unlock, then you can fastboot oem unlock 1234567890(your code), and, flash twrp either.

FAILED (remote: root type is risk)

Hummm, i never met this before... maybe the HONOR-MultiTool could help you, you have to open MultiTool(first of all, download it) and press Extras, then Bootloaderz then relock my bootloader(make sure your phone is ON, connected with HiSuite and USB Debugging), then choose "i have a code", and finally you have to type your code(ONLY CODE!!) then enter, and make sure your phone reboots into fastboot and asking you to "lock bootloader?" choose yes. If anything goes wrong, let me know, i will answer ASAP.
