Hi,
I was very interested in this TPU case, due to its matte-finish back and glossy rim. I also liked the fact that it was located in the US and therefore could reach me relatively quickly.
However, the listing ended before I could purchase it.
I soon found this case, but due to the lack of clear pictures, I am unable to tell whether or not it has a matte back like the previous case.
Has anyone purchased this case?
Also, has anyone found any cases that are similar to the first case (TPU, matte back, etc.) and are located in the US?
Thanks.
I would be interested to know some info about this case as well.
TPU cases are nice usually dont attract dust and oil..
but it protect you only from scratches and very very light bumps.. not real protection.. so you need to take that in mind.

Good to know, thanks for the input.
So, does anyone know about the cases in the OP?
Was going to go for leather but I use wireless charger. So looking at the Ghostek atomic 2.0 or the Otterbox defender.
Has anyone used either and an opinion on which is best. What something as thin as possible with good screen protection. Not worried about the waterproof feature.
Thanks
Check this thread for about the Ghostek, unsure of Defender as I haven't tried that one yet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/accessories/ghostek-atomic-2-0-samsung-galaxy-s7-t3433347/
Hope someone could pitch in if they used both.
The big difference is the look and the front protection.
Otterbox has the film protector as well as covered up front by the rugged protection.
Ghostek I would suggest adding a TGSP on it as most of the protection is in the sides and back with some on front but won't fully protect if fell face down. Which is why I recommend a TGSP from experience.
That's all I can say by looking and hearing from others. I'll let others who've used Defender mention their thoughts about it. It mostly depends on usage and how you are on how your phone looks as well.
As per other thread I've used the Ghostek for a month and only drop once accidentally which the TGSP got a slight crack when it fell face down. But overall is been good and no sensitivity issues on mine. You might loose a bit but nothing that I've fully noticed that's with both the TGSP and the film that the case includes.
So if you read and get more opinions on both, hope you make a choice that you are comfortable with.

Thanks a lot!
Can you please provide some case models that are compatible with this ?
Most cases I read , the case lifts the glass.
Any magic combo?

The only case that I own that won't break the Tempered glass is the Ghostek Atomic 2.0. As it just sits inside the case.
As other's have mentioned that some thin cases from spigen and other companies in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/accessories/curved-tempered-glass-screen-protector-t3320688

Also another pro and con between the Ghotstek and Otterbox is where the sound comes out.
Due to the waterproofing on the Ghostek the speaker is routed to come out from the back and depending on the sound it could get muffled. I rarely use the phone speaker and at times on youtube.
I expect the otterbox, the sound comes from regular area and should be open. But don't own an otterbox.
I'm going to buy a OP3 when it is available in Europe. Together with him the case in the op store. Which is better?
They're totally different...
Do you want a minimal case that helps with grip and very minor falls or do you want something with better protection?

Which is which? Does the Oneplus provide better protection?
For the price you should go for another case : Spigen, Mofi, Tudia, Orzly, ...
Less expensive and same protection as "Official" ones.

Outterbox best protection also best grip.
Has anyone gotten an especially nice case that they would recommend? One that works with the official screen protector would be best as I think I'm going to get that.
the official red case is nice but i much prefer the one that the 5T comes with.
i also ordered https://www.aliexpress.com/item/cov...s-for-one-plus-5-t-oneplus5t/32841721369.html
Any good bumper cases for the 5T? I see RhinoShield has said they're NOT making a case for the 5T. Emailed Dbrand's to see if they're going to make The Grip for it, but haven't heard back yet. Any other bumper cases out there?

Dbrand said something along the way that they are first focusing on the ones they have initially proposed to produce/release, but they will add to further phones along the way. Once that comes out, I'll get it with the dragon skin.

Not sure if both models come with a case, but the 128 did. It's in the box where the Sim tool is
Can confirm the 64 also came with one, and screen protection as well. Good move from OnePlus.

thanks. was browsing aliexpress for two days and didnt see that one. ordered one just now
In addition to the TPU case that comes with the phone (which I didn't know about, either), I got the Sandstone case from the official store.
It is awesome! Totally great feel to the Sandstone texture, grippy, solidly fits the phone, and all the buttons are EXPOSED (which I find to be ideal) as well as the top and bottom of the phone. It has a lip so the screen doesn't touch when face-down, but it's very minimal. I really love the feel of the phone in this case.

I got the email from them today and they said the 5T is for sure going to be a supported phone after the initial round of phones they're working on. [emoji106]

It does look great and feels great but as far as protection I think it is really just to avoid scratches to the aluminum casing.

Yeah, I never buy cases for protection beyond scratches. It just makes the phone too bulky and ruins the experience for me.
I spent over 600 dollars on this phone and there's no insurance... Protection is a must
Get official flip one....you dont need to double tap or press power button for face unlock...lift the cover and magic !!

Flip cases are cringe
Oneplus 5T
I feel official Red case will be better
I bought the following two cases from Amazon. Just waiting for them to get here. I always like the leather look and full side protection.

It does provide really good grip which helps you to avoid dropping the slippery phone.
I missed out on the indiegogo Dbrand grip. I have checked ebay and could not find any. I know rhino shield has a similar option but alot of the reviews are saying that skins are peeling when case is applied.
So my question is does anyone know where i can get a Dbrand Grip or is anyone selling one ?
Unfortunately, you can't get the Dbrand Grip anymore. I even tweeted them and asked and they didn't reply. I fear if you didn't get one when the Indiegogo was on, then you're not going to get one. It was like a one-time thing.

I would stay away from the Grip. Mine ended up breaking down after normal use. The side buttons hardly worked after the few months I had it. It was great while it lasted but I expected a lot more out of an expensive case. If you can find one for sub $20 new I would say it's worth it. Otherwise stay away.
