Helps and tips in changing the touchscreen - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My touch screen got damaged when i tried to remove the scratched anti shatter film, i bought a new one and now i will try to install it.
I have a few questions
what type of glue to use ?
Any tips/advices ?
p.s. I`m doing it myself because all i could find in gsm shops where offers of 100$ for the work and no guarantee if the screen brakes

Buy oem adhesives from eBay, that's way better than glue and much easier to apply

Protectionlayer on the screen?

Hi!
I wonder if the Xperia has something like a glass or a protection layer on its screen so i don't have to buy a whole new display? And if so, do anyone know where i could find these?
It comes with that really cheap factory plastic when you first get the phone
finding actual screen protectors arent really that hard you could find one on ebay
I think i was a bit unclear, i scratched my screen after i removed the plastic protection that comes with the device. And now i wonder if the screen has another layer over the touchscreen that protect it(like the plastic piece over the actual screen that works as the touch on the diamond for example)?
I think so but its either theres the plastic layer or its the digitizer (that makes the touch-screen possible)
Okay, do you know if it's possible to replace it? instead of buying a new screen?

I need 2 things and cant find them

Ok people I dont want you to do my local shopping at Asda but I'm after a couple of things and can't find them
Docking stand similar to this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-Desire-HD...ories_MobilePhoneChargers&hash=item3cb26ac14c
And I also want some screen protectors that don't have floppy loose edges where the screen curves, as when I put my Silicone case on it lifts the protector, I have had my phone a week now and am on to my 5th screen protector.
Any help appreciate in advance
Im in the UK by the way and don't wanna shop abroad

Cracked glass on N1, which parts do I need to fix?

Is this all I need?

Thanks in advance!
as someone who's done the repair twice. Don't buy from ebay as they sell cheaper knockoffs.
Its actually pretty complicated and almost worth the money to send it in for repair.
Really.
i disagree, the repair was fairly easy if youre following a guide. ive done it once and taken mine completely apart twice. the most difficult part was separating the broken glass from the rubber part where it is mounted and getting the bottom part of the phone off without breaking it or leaving marks. I used spray adhesive to seal the new digitizer to the mount. I bought mine from amazon, just about the same price and came with prying tools. it was good quality with only a single miniature air bubble in the glass which is only noticeable if youre really looking for it on a full white screen.
if only your glass is broken that is all you should need, the digitizer. if the lcd is cracked or bleeding you will need that as well.

Small crack on screen

Hello everyone, so yesterday I accidently cracked glass near the front speaker of my xperia v (picture in attachment). It's a shame that I wasn't using a screen protector at that time. Anyway, what do you think is best for me to do? Is there anyway I could hide it or fix it? If the only way is to replace that part how much would it cost and could I do it myself? Or should I just leave it as it is because it's too much hassle trying to fix it?
If you want to keep your waterproof, mybe the best choice is replace it. The cost of replacement don't should dbe expensive

Did you peeled the built-in screen protector?
On the pic it seems the scratch is only on the protector but I could be wrong. Try removing it and see if the glass is actually scratched.
Yes, I peeled the built-in protector unfortunately. And thanks for reply, I will look for price of replacement in my country.
I payed almost $100+ to repair the bezel and the loose caps. I think screens are cheaper to be repaired because it's much easier to be repaired. Goodluck.

LG G FLEX - fixing broken screen glass (touch & display working)

Hello guys!
It's my first post on this forum so excuse me for all mistakes that I have made
Some time ago i dropped my LG G Flex from about 0,5m. The screen have "spider webs" so it makes annoying to use it. Luckily the screen and touch layer managed to survive .
I searched web for replacements but i didn't find the glass. I only managed to find a glass with whole display. The cost of whole thing was about 50$-100$. The price of that part was too expensive to make it happen (i bought phone for about 140$).
Soo i have came up with bright idea. I was gonna remove the screen glass like this girl on video (Search YouTube for "HOW TO REPLACE A SMARTPHONE SCREEN!" uploaded by "everythingdiy").
Thing was very easy because LG don't have any physical buttons on front and the whole "frame thing" was attached to bottom layers (With samsung phones the "frame thing" is attached to glass").
After removing broken glass i cleaned everything up with just a tissue.
Next step was the easiest one. I bought online a tempered glass protector and applied it on my screen.
Here you go, everything is working very well !
I have payed for replacing my screen glass about 5$ (+ work with removing old glass)
I think i have helped someone with similar problems.
REMEMBER !! To preform this your display and touch must work !!! You are doing it on your own and i don't take any responsibility if you damage your phone !!!
what tempered glass protector did you buy? please can you send a link
also, when you remove the glass, was it attach to the lcd with glue?

I bought the cheapest one Any tempered glass will do the job.
The glass was attached to the LCD with glue. Make sure to warm up the screen with hair dryer or heat gun
You can try removing that glass at any point. Just google "removing phone screen glass" or something like that.
Remember it's not that easy as it sounds, the display is very fragile.
