Note 5 - Hangs a lot in Power Saving mode - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi guys
When in Power Saving mode, the phone is too slow with lags in almost everything I try to do even as simple as placing a call or unlocking the screen.
Not sure if anyone else has the problem.
When out of power saving everything is back to Normal. We know that Power saving will reduce performance but to an extent when unlocking the screen has a lag?
What's wrong here??

one week after the post and still the Power Saving Mode cripples the phones performance. Even basic tasks have lags and making a call is a pain in Power Saving Mode. Not sure if others have this? should I Factory reset?

HI,
Firstly, i struggling to understand, why you are keeping your phone in power saving mode, if you know that it causes issues..?
I would not even consider power savings mode, unless i cannot get to a charger in time, before battery cuts out. Yes, then i will switch to power saving mode (most likely)..
If i have such a issues that i cannot charge my device often, i would get a power bank (battery).
Why "cripple" an phone like Note5 ?
(cpu, performance etc wise)
Also as you stated you expected "something" like this (performance wise etc) but this issues is to much for you.?
So i would suggest stop using power saving.
I am a medium user and always manage my phone, that battery will last. In such a way that the charge is sufficient ( for whatever) i was going to do.. eg.. my morning jog or going out for the day.
Bottom line...........
its your device, you can do whatever
you want with your phone , but don't complain afterwards !
Just my humble opinion,
good luck

thanks for your reply willcor.
I do not use power saving mode often with my NOTE 5. But if I am using it in my long evenings at office and when I am out then it definitely means I need the extra juice. But what I do not want is the crippling.. My wife uses a E5 and no problems with Power Saving mode like I saw with my Note 5. I don't want my note to under performance ideally but when I want and there's a feature that says 'you can when you want more time to charge' it should do the basic tasks with no issues. I am not playing GTA, NOVA or high end games when i can't charge my phone. But the least possible tasks us what I am concerned and I have problems with that. Just like I mentioned making a call, opening contacts or unlocking a screen. I wanted to know if this is also a memory or processor management issue that everyone talks about about a note 5.
Anyway thanks for the reply mate!

hi,
ok, i do understand your issue better, thanks. If i was you i would look for alternative option. I saw a good option, a while back on some forum (cannot remember where)
It was a wireless battery pack that fits over Note5 and charges battery wireless while you use it.Apparently you can switch it on and off.
Also can use it like a phone case.
Only negative i understand is that cover covers camera. You have to slide case off to take photos.
I saved the pics in article to my phone. (See attached) sorry i can't give more info about it. Hope you can get an idea what i trying to explain.
Bottom line,
Power saving option is not worth using (it seems to me)
Look at compromising and look around for ideas. I really like the wireless charging cover.
Good luck

After I bought a Diamond, here's my point of view...

Hi,
I consider myself as a hardcore PPC user. I use my PPC for almost everything and if I ever lost my PPC, I have nothing... well.. but of course I have backup on my laptop.
Battery Life
I use a bluetooth earphone during work, meaning that the bluetooth is turned on on my PPC from 8am to 5pm (discovery off). Before going to work, I spend about 5 to 20 minutes reading internet news via WiFi. Normally when I reached home from work, I have about 10% power left. Without WiFi in the morning, I have about 20% to 25% power left. Well, this is when I was using O2 Xda II mini (HTC Magician) and O2 Atom Life. Believe it or not, when I gave my O2 Xda II mini to my wife, she only need to recharge it after 3 to 4 days of usage, and the same thing happen when I gave her my O2 Atom Life.
Getting my hand on HTC Diamond, well it is the same. It lasted as long as my previous 2 PPCs, except that the battery is smaller, meaning, it actually is better. Since it has built-in GPS, if it is used, of course the battery will die faster, but from my usage, the built-in GPS does not consume more power than the WiFi.
To make it short, the battery life on PPC is based on how long you turned it on (usage time, not standby mode). If it is stated in the specification as 3 hours talk-time, then it will last for 3 hours of usage. That is what people are forgetting. When using other handphone (which are not PPC), people only use it to talk, sms or some gaming. When they switch to PPC, there are so many things that you can do with it and people actually spend more time using it not awaring of the total time used (not standby mode). There is a good software, AE Button Plus, which can measure the uptime for us. It shows the usage time as well.
Volume
All of my PPC has decend volume level, which O2 Atom Life is the lowest. Not sure why because it has 2 speakers (stereo). It should be louder right? But Diamond actually is loader than it. But there seems to be a solution here. In O2 Atom Life, I used the Equalizer to increase the volume. There is none on Diamond but I believe you can find one in this forum.
GPS
I love the GPS, except sometimes the GPS software cannot seem to turn the GPS on (1 out of 10). Need to close the software and reopen. Previously I was using Garmin Mobile 10 (via bluetooth) and comparing with the built-in GPS, the lock-time is very very fast.
With Garmin Mobile 10, I turn it on, get in my car, start the car, then wait from 1 minutes to 3 minutes before it can get a lock. With Diamond's built-in GPS, I open the GPS software, get in my car, start the car and I already has a lock.
The problem now is the slow screen refresh (the time taken to redraw the screen). With my O2 Atom Life, the screen redraw is fast (when I make a turn or the map zoom in or out). With Diamond, when I make a turn, I can see the roads being redraw one by one. If I turn the auto-zoom on (Garmin Mobile XT), it will go black for 1 to 3 seconds before the screen reappear when it tries to zoom in or zoom out.
I believe this has something to do with the display resolution of Diamond, 640x480 compared to 320x240 (on my Atom Life). The higher the resolution, the lower the framerate. Further more Atom Life processor is faster. But comparing to Xda II mini, Xda II mini is a little bit faster (redrawing rate).
Please remember that Diamond has a built-in graphic processor (correct me if I'm wrong). When software make use of this graphic processor, I believe we would not have this problem anymore. Instead, we might get real 3D display.
Overall
Overall, I'm satisfied with my new Diamond but of course I always wanted a longer usage time... so I think I better start looking for HTC Touch Pro.

...or get yourself the HTC Diamond extended battery BP E270. It has 1350 mAh instead of 900 and it adds only 4 mm thickness => Diamond + BP E270 = still slimmer and lighter than Pro. Unless of course, you want the keyboard.

It's off topic, but can you explain that more please ?
My opinion...
I currently have two major issues with the Diamond. They aren't helped by the horrendous T-Mobile branding job! (Surely the execs that rubber-stamped those colours should be made to wear that horrible T-Mobile pink every day to work for a year to see how it feels).
In light of the above, I've obviously had to apply the original Diamond Black on top. Problem is, it eats Main Memory space for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I'm always struggling with space! Really annoying!
The second issue is probably because I'm a tad impatient and may be considered a power user by some. The thing is, when I'm doing things on my phone, I expect it to react, if not instantaneously, then at least in a split second. Often the Diamond lags considerably, which can be very frustrating and lead to incorrect actions. The most common of these is when ending a call. When I press the end call key, I expect the call to be ended now - not in 3 seconds' time!
OK, end of *****.
The CDMA (telus) phone already comes with the HTC Diamond extended battery BP E270!
.....But, still. There's always room for more. There's a 1800mAh battery floating around but apparently has a hideous replacement backing that just takes away from what the Diamond is all about - it's slim low profile.

Actually it's a software which allows you to set 4 actions for a hardware button on a PPC. You can find it here (http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php).
It also comes with extra functions like displaying the uptime statistic, task manager, bluetooth toggle, wifi toggle and more.

I believe it depends on what software you are running and believe me, most PPC users are struggling with that. Imagine with 64mb of main memory which only 24mb available on start up. With diamond, it's about 52mb free main memory on start up, right? Further more, most handphone (not PPC) has about only 64mb of main memory, for example, N95-1

Ok, this is an issue not only with Diamond. It exists in all PPC since PPC is able to multitask, sometimes it becomes slow because of the tasks running in background.
Another problem is related to some task managers which close running application when you tap 'X'. The next time you want to call that application up, the PPC need to reload the application which is slow. In another word, don't close the program when you tap 'X'. Comparing to normal handphone (other than PPC), you have limited software running which actually does not allow you to mod the phone. So, most critical applications stay in main memory, it is fast to call up the unclosed applications (like calender, phone and contacts).
Regarding ending call, the problem you mentioned also exists in other PPC, like my O2 Atom Life and O2 Xda II mini. Actually, when you press or tap the End Call button, it actually ended it but the screen refresh seems slow, so we tend to keep on tapping the end button, which sometimes end up in calling the person again.

That is a great news. Since I'm living in Malaysia, it's hard to find one. HTC Touch Pro has not been released yet here. But actually I wanted Touch Pro because of the size of the main memory. I've been living with 64MB (normally about 24MB available for user) of main memory for too long and I always wanted to load more applications at once (greedy eh?).
Further more, since my Atom Life has 1GB of ROM (795MB available for use), living with only 256MB of ROM (only 82MB available for use) on Diamond leaves me starving for more.
Regarding the keyboard... I don't think I'll be using it, but who knows? If I can type faster using it than TouchPal, I'll definately be using it.

Aha! So, once again it's the big beast M$ that's to blame. Makes sense. They seem to be behind a lot of trouble I see in Windows software... One of the reasons why I changed to Mac OSX.
Thanks programatix! I thought perhaps it was just the Diamond, or even the HTC range.

Try downloading the Advanced Config software for the Diamond, and check the Phone->End call delay. Change that to 0. Problem solved.
There are many solutions for many of the problems you mention, even for performance issues. Apart from Advanced Config, try also getting Diamond Tweak.
Battery issue is a common problem of PPC. Just imagine you are using a PC which is an your palm size. Of course it is designed to be energy efficient, but it will not last you for long days. That's why car charger and USB cable exist for you to charge your gadget often

If you have ActiveSync with Exchange server, you can save battery by setting the update to manual.

Palm PRE

UP date 6-16-09 (is show as -- )
i just picked up a palm pre the 1st day it came out.witch was the 6th of this month. this is only my opinion oky guys.
Cons :
- no 3rd party apps (yet)
- the alarm sucks but i can say its a lot better then stock alarm for ppc
- the keypad is not as good looking and feeling as the htc ppc(6800-pro)
- no micro sd slot
- cant record videos only takes PIC
- no onscreen keyboard
-- no reset button.(so if you freeze the phone you have to take off the cover and the battery to reset it.)
-- cant do one hand slide to get the keyboard out and need to also touch the screen and help it move up to get the keyboard out.
-- battery life sucks with brightness all the way up and lots of usage it last me 1 to 2 hours only.
-- you cant save a file from the net.(i made a ring tone online and send it to my phone it it wont d.l. the ringtone)
-- you can make ring tones on line but only transfer it from your comp to the phone
-- only 3 slides to hold your apps and other icons.( it just get longer down the more you add )
-- copy and past is harder to do. to many steps
-- typing is a bit hard bc its not to conformable to hold and type.
-- takes a long time to charge to full if empty about 1 hour and 30 mins
-- cant change txt tone or any thing ( only ring tones and to contact ring tones )
-- carrying case that come with the PHONE sucks.and if you buy one it will run you around 30 to 60 bucks. but i use my HTC 6900 case for it fit perfect.
-- the phone get hot when charging or using the phone
-- no led lights (can be good or bad if u like the led lights to show if bt is on and the flash like on some htc phone)
-- -- for more info on the phone go to you tube and type in palm pre.( there is LOTS of video of the phone and comparing )
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pros :
- faster then ppc(htc 6800-pro-6900)
- i can have like 5 to 8 program running and wont be as lagy as the ppc(u can have up to like 3 programs running on some ppc and it be super lagy and have to close it out)to make it run faster
- i like the look of it better look more high tech
- the graphic is great.bright colors and the image seem to look like if u was looking at it on a lap top or desk top
- 8 gb of rom (7GB user available)
- Headphone jack is the 3.5mm size
- love the Touchstone Charging Dock(wireless charger for your phone)
-- you can reset the phone (not freeze) by going to the home screen and go to the palm icon and reset your phone from there(they give you 3 options to choose hard reset, semi hard reset, and reset.)
-- camera works great a lot better then ppc 6800 - pro must of the ppc phone.
-- google maps and sprint nav works and looks a lot better then htc and other ppc phones
-- you can save up to lots of book marks on your phone right now i have 18 book mark with pictures to show what they are.(internet)
-- speaker and call volume is super loud
-- blue tooth connects fast and well. quality is oky bc i have a cheap one only for 20 bucks but i can say it connects and detect it fast.
-- the touchstone wireless charger is amazing no more plugging up the phone unless you are connecting it to your desktop or laptop.
-- it have a auto sensor (kind of like the G Sensor for htc pro) where if you are on the phone it auto turn off the screen and when u move it away from your ear it comes back on and when u put it back it turns off its amazing.
-- they added some cool apps
HTML:
http://www.palm.com/us/products/phones/pre/pre-mobile-applications.html
-- emailing is THE BEST for this PHONE. nothing out there can win when it comes to emailing (yahoo works best) bc you cant get it the instant the sender send it. the others like gmail or hotmail you can set up time for it to check.
-- there is a switch for the phone to put the phone on vibrate or turn the phone off.(on tope of the phone)
-- for more info on the phone go to you tube and type in palm pre.( there is LOTS of video of the phone and comparing )
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
that is it guys i think that that is enough info n must of the stuff that we need to know about the phone. pm me if you guys want more info on have question .

Thanks!
Can you post some pics or videos?
Cheers,
Yeah, I played around with it and liked it for a couple reasons and didn't for a couple as well.
The keyboard is not as good as the Pro. And the 8GB makes no sense to me. Every phone should have a Micro SD slot!
I did really like the web browsing. Similar to the iPhone in the sense that it works like going to a real web page and you can easily make it bigger with the 2 finger trick like the iPhone. I will wait and see what others say for a few months before deciding. My Pro lags a bit too much and causes a problem with my yahoo email. Plus it's very bulky unlike the Pre which is very slim and nice.
I'd certainly be willing to give Palm Pre a try later, when there're enough applications, when there is a GSM version (rather than CDMA) available. I hope the second generation has bigger screen and storage. Also hope they release a version without keyboard 'cos I do'nt like physical keyboard (too slow and too limiting and forcing you to only use it in portrait mode. I want the ability to use lots of versions and different layout depending on needs, such as for foreign language input/handwriting) I think it gives iPhone a good run for it's money from the look of it. So, will be keeping an eye on this baby. Like your comment on the speed depsite multitasking so many applications. Great feedback.

Good feedback.
I just bought one on Friday.
The battery thing is a major problem IMO, I charged it all night untill noon the next day, by six the phone was almost dead, BOGUS. Palm is supposed to have a replacement battery coming out very soon. Gonna argue I want one for free.
LET ME PUT MY OWN TEXT TONES!!!
DEFINITELY need an on-screen keyboard.
IMO the speaker could be twice as loud.
Yeah the stinkin thing gets HOT.
Buy the wireless charging doc, using the plug is a PITA.
Web pages load nice and smooth for me, better than the Iphone IMO. The Iphone was always freezing up on me, even with general apps. The Pre is nice and light, although I'm coming from a brick they call an HTC Tilt so anything would probably be lighter. Very bright, clear screen, this I like. I don't need an SD slot, why would I ever fill up 7 gigs on a phone?
Overall I'm content so far.
BEST PART so far, I got drunk the night I bought it and was callin it the Palm Tree.
i like how the pre looks but i love WM

[Q] Thinking of purchasing SP

Hi there,
I'm thinking of getting an Xperia SP to replace my Galaxy Nexus (which is starting to die :crying
Before I purchase, there are a few things about the SP I would like to ask:
1. How does the storage work with a microSD? On the GN, I had ~13GB with which to fill with anything I want. I would like to know if I am able to have apps stored on the microSD?
2. How is battery life in your view? My GN has terrible battery life now, but I would like to know what to expect when I get my SP.
3. How is the display in terms of viewing angles? I have read a lot reviews stating that the view angles aren't great...
4. I've also read that Mcafee antivirus is preinstalled. Is this true, and if it is, would I be able to get rid of it WITHOUT root?
5. What colour SP do you have, and why did you pick that colour? I'm torn between getting a white or black one
Thanks in advance :good:
1. You have 5,8 GB phone storage + microSD card up to 32GB. You can move an aplication to SD card but you must use program (app2SD or other)
2, If you use a lot of Wifi/data connection battery is emptying fast, but in normal use phone stand 2-3 days (look at my battery stats)
3. View angles aren't great but they aren't the worst
4. Yes in stock rom you have Mcafee antivirus as preinstaled. idk how to remove it (i have custom rom)
5. I have black and it's the best of them (you can choose from white, red and black)
it sucks, dont purchase it, my phone with everything turn off, gsm only, no wifi, no bluetooth, no gps, screen brightness lowest,
no apps installed, less than 1 minute on screen time, no sim card, standby time is only 2 days until the battery reach 0% from 100%
Help please, it's already half a year i had this problem, and why no people or any helper on this forums wants to help me out?

without root u can just disable the bloatware(mcafee......)
I love this thing. I don't have wifi problems. I don't care about viewing angles as when I'm using the phone, I'm staring straight at the thing.
Yes you can remove McAfee without rooting. I still rooted, however, in order to remove some of the other bloat. I didn't unlock the bootloader. The tutorials here on rooting are easy. I didn't have a problem.
My battery time ROCKS, in my opinion. I use it normally (mobile/wifi web, txt, calls, facebook, check news/weather... take some pictures and vids, listen to music during my commute, a little gps here and there, track jogs a few times a week) and I get a little over a day which is great for me.
Yeah the display is a bit white in the home menu, but when I look at pics/videos it looks gorgeous in my opinion.
The pictures I've taken with it are gorgeous. The camera responds very quickly too which I love.
The music sounds fuggin awesome, to me. I'm no audiophile though. I jog with it or use a tape deck adapter in my car.
Not to mention I think it's damn sexy! That LED bar at the bottom with a band of metal around the edge... I have the white one and love it. I get comments all the time.
For what I want it to do, it's perfect. This has been my favorite phone so far. I don't play any games on it. I use my tablet for that.
1. youll get approximately 5.37gb of storage + microSD up to 32gb. No you can't move apps to the SD card unless you root it and do some process i don't understand. Apps2sd don't work with this particular phone, ive tried many of them.
2. the SP has good battery life at 2370mAh. I can get it to last for ~30hours straight on average (texts, calls, wifi) to heavy usage (intense games, wifi, data)
3. viewing angles arent really great. it gets too whitewashed (i dont know if this is the term, but it gets all too whitey) when viewed at slightly skewed angles. but hey, who cares. i doubt if youll use the phone not looking directly at the screen.
4. yes McAfee comes preinstalled, but you can uninstall it like a normal app (no root needed or anything)
5. i got the white one. black looks boring for me

Need some help with my new Phone

First of all, I love this phone. The main selling point for me was the massive battery and from there it's just getting better counting in the other features, but as always, nothing is perfect and I'm not that experienced with Android in general so figured I'd ask away here. As a disclaimer, for all the things below, I'm not interested in rooting the phone, feel free to write if rooting is the only option though and if doing so, what I am asking for would work.
Is there any way to turn off the volume warning? Like if you're going above 70%. Seems it's a lot less aggressive than on my old S9 though.
Is there any way to add a few more steps to the volume? It appears 15 is the highest volume at the moment. And the highest volume is a bit low for my taste, when listening to music. I'm using BOSE QC20's and while they sound great, I could use a few more steps. I used some App on my S9 but it didn't really sound that well. For comparison, on the PC you can put VLC on 200% AND turn up the volume on the headset as well, if you want.
What kind of screen protection would you advice? Or shouldn't I bother with that?
How water resistant is the phone? All I know is that there is no classification yet. Even it isn't, how would you rate it? Go Swimming? Drop it in a pool of water? Walk with it in the rain? Or panic if one droplet gets anywhere close to the speakers?
Can I dual charge the phone? As in, if the Fan is connected, can I put one charger in the bottom Type-C port and one into the fan?
What happens if I put the charger in the Red sideport? Not that I would, just curious as I saw a warning saying not to.
Similar to the dual charge, would a PC gaming headset work on the phone that uses 2 3.5mm pins? The sound pin would go into the fan and the mic pin would go into the bottom slot of the phone, or vice versa?
I've been trying to change the Notification sound and ringtone for Whatsapp using the same sounds I had for my S9. I've added both (Orange & Whisper) but they just don't want to work. I made them in .mp4 (aac), .mp3 & .oog formats. When I select them in the list, they are played as they should but when I get a message and/or recieve a call, the latest (standard) signal is instead used.
Update: I managed to get the notification sound to work now (Whisper). By going into the Phone Settings -> Notifications -> WhatsApp. Seems that option in there would override the App Settings. However, when I get a call now, BOTH the original ringtone and the S9 (Orange) one is played ontop of each other.
While we are on WhatsApp, how can I remove the big notifications. Like, there's 2 types. The one at the top of the screen (I want this) and then it's the big popup in the middle of the screen (that has a reply field and some more options (I don't want this). I remember it was a hassle to get rid of on my S9 so thought I'd ask.
Bug or feature? When I'm inside a program and exit back to the Home screen, I've noticed the "locked" bottom row starts jumping, as if they want to swipe up. I'm using the Two-Layer mode. Not sure if it's a bug or a feature "showing" me there's stuff down there.
Last but not least, can I move the clock on the lockscreen? It's currently in the top left corner, I'd prefer to have it centered.
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!
I've replied in line to the questions I can answer.
How water resistant is the phone? All I know is that there is no classification yet. Even it isn't, how would you rate it? Go Swimming? Drop it in a pool of water? Walk with it in the rain? Or panic if one droplet gets anywhere close to the speakers?
Not very, there doesn't appear to be any waterproofing, check the sim card tray for example, no rubber seal.
Can I dual charge the phone? As in, if the Fan is connected, can I put one charger in the bottom Type-C port and one into the fan?
You could but the phone isn't going to charge twice as fast, I think it'll likely only charge from one port but shouldn't do any damage.

People say it dies but I haven't tried it, it's not the same as a C port so you'd have to force it.

No, there's no mic in option afaik.

Probably a feature as I think I've seen that on some pixel launchers but I don't use the stock one personally.
1) There isn't;
2) You can only set Outdoor Mode on, but the volume will go up, no volume steps wil be added;
3) I think you should go for one with good comments, since you have the fingerscan under the display and a screen protection may void It;
4) the phone is not certified for water/dust resistance. So, just avoid contact with water. Tho, I don't think some raindrop will ruin it;
5) You cannot dual charge the phone;
6) The Red sideport is a Trademark Port made by Asus exclusively for their optional accessories. So, just leave It alone if you don't wanna be sorry;
7) No such phone will ever have the drivers made for Windows/MacOs which makes the headset to work on a personal computer;
8) You can have this setted on the Sound Settings;
9) You can have this setted on the Notification Settings;
10) that's a feature;
11) you must use third part apps for that.
Thank you so much, both of you.
The volume warning is a lot less of a pain than I initially thought. The one on the S9 is rather agressive so had some bad experiences. Can't say I notice any diff with Outdoor mode but I'll try more later, suppose it's fine.
Good point about the screen protection, I'll definately keep the fingerprint sensor in mind.
The waterproofing, or non-waterproofing rather is one of the Con's of the phone I suppose. Not that it's an issue but I'd rather not care at all as I could with my old phone. Thanks for clarifying though. My dad lost his old iPhone 6 to having his phone in the rain so I kinda know the limit then (as that also lacked any kind of cert).
No dual charging, makes sense. One takes prio.
Yeah, I'll not mess with the red port. @willhemmens, dies as in "throw the phone and buy a new one" or "phone shuts off but just restart and it's fine". (Like, battery is dead/dies). Just curious here really.
I see, that's too bad. Suppose I'd have to get one of those 2 becomes 1 3.5mm cable adapters.
@NajimKiSaad, that's just for the phone ringtone/sms though? This is for Whatsapp exclusively. It's as if a WhatsApp call triggers as a normal call as well as it's own settings, kinda.
Hm, where? Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> WhatsApp -> Notifications, it's set to - Behavior: Make Sound. Same in the App itself, Popup is not enabled anywhere.

Well, that's good to know. How do I disable it? I just find it annyoing.
And for the clock widget on the Lockscreen, any recommendations? I like the style of the default one, just the position is kinda off.
Once again, thanks for all the answers!
Not related to your questions but have you felt that this phone just cuts off the internet connection to Whatsapp? I don't get notifications after a while and the Whatsapp Web says that my phone is not connected to internet even though there is internet. Whatsapp only starts working when I open this app. Then, I get all the messages. I have allowed unrestricted internet access to this app and turned off battery optimization for this app. Any ideas?
That's interesting, I haven't had it as you describe it no but since I got the phone, I've noticed the "last online" doesn't always show on my friend I have on WA. Could be that she has turned it off but it works sometimes.
Looking at the top bar on the phone, I added internet speed and it says 0 B/s quite often so my guess is that it only uses internet on demand, maybe it has something to do with that?

Think I might have seen a post about it too, could be wrong though.

Question Debloating, customising etc

Hi folks,
I have bought this lovely piece of tech.
I have already ordered different case as the one supplied by vivo has absolutely no grip whatsoever.
I think I've done most of the setup, tested cameras, get notifications working etc and I'm pretty happy with how things are.
I do, however, have some questions:
2) After double clicking power button I'm getting some chinese crap on my screen - any chance on getting rid of it, and possibly mapping other action under double pressing of power button?
3) At this stage is there any point of running debloating script via ADB? I deleted what was possible from the phone via app manager etc. Is there any real improvement to the battery life, performance?
4) Any known way to replace this vivo music player widget with another one in the quick menu?
I keep reading forums/internet so I may find solutions to the above in the meantime ( point 1 is missing, as I've managed to find a way to fix it while writing this post )
Any help is most welcome!
Ok, forget about number 2 as well. Chinese lady, whom I happen to work with and who actually imported the phone from China for me has turned it off it was vivo wallet.
I still wonder though, has anyone managed to map double click of power button for something else?
