I was installing the 2nd Bootloader and TWRP using FireFlash and got distracted and did not check apply stack. This cause my kindle to bootloop after the reboot then shut off after 10 minutes. Now my kindle will not even turn on again to bootloop anymore. If i have a fastboot cable would i be able to put it into fastboot mode and run the KFHD Restore tool?

If your device will not turn on at all (i.e. no display, no sound, etc.), the only option you have is connecting the eMMC directly to a USB sdcard reader and connect that to your computer to restore the partitions with the correct images.
That probably sounds easier than it really is though:

Thank you for all the help in advance!
Current state of device:
Fire HD 7" factory cable plugged in stuck on fastboot screen not loop just stuck no access to ADB (device not found[debian gnome])
I was deleting my previous ROM to go back to stock. I wiped my cache, os and everything then went to go and install the stock ROM and my little one managed to power the kindle down. I turned it back on to find kindlefire logo on the screen but it doesn't go past that. I built a factory cable and now it displays the fastboot logo but nothing else, not looping just frozen on the fastboot screen. So the computer [debian gnome] can't find the device when using ADB. (ADB is working with my other devices) I tried to follow a post about using the fastboot cmd to install the system.img, recovery.img and boot.img but did not know exactly what I was doing at that point. Is it done for? or is there hope?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
There is hope. You could try following the commands in the batch file from this post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254
I've never tried it from Linux but so long as fastboot is working you should be able to flash the 3 images and then wipe data.
Thank you sooo much! this worked like a charm. I downloaded the img files and loaded them to the kindle via fastboot then rebooted and wala back to a fully functioning kindle. Thanks for the link!!!!
Glad to hear it helped you out.
Help me please
I have bricked my device. I can no longer get it past the bootloader Amazon image and can only get it into fastboot. Had root on device and was attempting to flash twrp so that i could install some custom roms. When flashing twrp the device restarted and has been stuck in a silver amazon bootloop. With the help of root junky's supertool i can get into factory recovery. but cannot sidload origional system back. I was gonna go back origional and re root. But can not get it out of bootloop. Tried using the system recovery thread found in second post on this thread and recieved an unsuccessful. Am i done for.... Kindle just stuck on fastboot screen now
Does your device have the front facing camera and the mini hdmi port?
So i made the mistake of factory resetting my kindle from within cm 12 and now teamwin keeps flashing. I have tried to solve using the sr tool but it always says waiting for device.I also tried to use the unbricking utility but it says idme not found and does nothing for the stuck at logo option. i have the kindle adb drivers installed and whenever the kindle goes into fastboot mode it never shows a menu. Also my computer is not recognizing the kindle, however when i plug it in i hea the noise as if it is being recognized. Also when i open the adb console and use adb devices it shows up as in recovery. Any help will be much appreciated.
Tablet had Fire OS 5.3.1 build installed.
Successfully rooted with Rootjunky supertool - after a lot of hassle with Kingroot (needed a newer version via an XDA link). Replaced Kingroot with SuperSU - and loaded Google Play - everything fine so far....
Magisk Manager app downloaded via Play store- starts to install but when tablet re-boots it's soft-bricked.
I've tried this twice now with same result.
Anyone had success with Magisk on Fire Tablet?
i'm having the exact same issue with a kindle fire hd 7". installed lineage unofficial 20170309 found on here, kept pushing me to install magisk, first time it wouldn't install, then it updated from market...installed successfully this morning and now when device is rebooting it just stays on kindle fire gold screen. volume button doesn't work to get into recovery and adb devices returns nothing. nothing in device manager to even indicate the computer is seeing the kindle fire.

Hi, when I bricked mine I pressed 'on' & 'Vol -' simultaneously and after a few attempts got it into recovery. From there I selected 'update using ADB' and at this point my Windows PC recognized fire tablet and allowed me to sideload the official Amazon firmware .bin file via fastboot (hope this makes some sense as I'm a bit of a noob!).
As for Magisk - probably incompatible with Fire device as suggested on this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68958498&postcount=2
But the thread's gone cold - no-one's confirmed either way.
FYI, fixed this with the following:
fastboot cable - plug in while device is off to enter forced fastboot mode
managed to get fastboot command responding after installing the android adb driver in device manager to the yellow triangle "tate" device - validate with
"fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product" will validate that fastboot is responding
then:
"fastboot -i 0x1949 flash boot kfhd7-freedom-boot-7.4.6.img" - reflash bootloader
"fastboot -i 0x1949 flash recovery kfhd7-twrp-2.8.3.0-recovery.img" - reflash twrp
just as if you were manually installing twrp for the first time
i had some other issues with kindle fire first aide where, when attempting to restore to factory, it wiped my data and cache partitions, but the above at least let me get back into twrp where i was able to reformat data/cache, flash a new system image, and successfully boot into it.
Moving away from aicp for now since that was what was pushing magisk, giving lineage a try.
Glad you got it sorted. Think I might need to get one of these factory cables just in case future 'experiments' go awry!!
Dear specialists from XDA:
I'm from Brazil, and I bought a Kindle Fire HD 7 (MODEL x43z80 'tate') with the last original Fire OS, and the Amazon universe don't have a lot of things in Brazil, so I decided to put a Cyanogenmod based on Marshmallow. My guide is the Tekify Channel, and I got it.
But, after a soft reset, because I want to give a gift to my wife, I have the TWRP bootloop issue.
After a 1 week from search in XDA and a lot of English tutorials in youtube, today I have the kindle in stucked in the 'Kindle Fire' logo bootloop.
So, I search here in XDA wha I have to do, and I stucked.
I don't have a fastboot cable, in Brazil Amazon sold just the basic kindle e-reader, and I want the Kindle Fire good again... :crying:
Someone help me? I try ALL the aplications here, like: KFHD unbrick, Kindle Fire 1st Aid, but I1m stucked in the Kindle Fire logo.
I can't access the ADB or Fastboot, because the computer don't recognize the KFHD, and I can't access the TWRP or any screen, I tried a lot of times the command POWER+VOL DOWN, but I return to the 'Kindle Fire' logo.
Thanks for the help.
J.C.
From powered down condition, press power button, then hold POWER-UP, until blue fire logo appears and continue to hold for a couple of seconds, then release. It should go into TWRP. From there, ADB should work. If not, try powering up while connected to PC with USB cable. Hopefully it will boot into fastboot mode. I use linux because windows has too many problems with drivers.

hi,
i have Kindle Fire HD 7" after some issues i try to flashing, voip all data and delete backup etc, my WTRP V.2.7.8.0 changed to v.2.6.3.1 and stuck in kindle fire logo and not connected to pc or not show storage in my computer.
please help me and restore my kindle fire tate. thanks a lot (i am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)
Can you boot into TWRP? You need to update to at least V2.8.7.0. I'm running V3.0.0.0 but I can't find the download link anywhere. If you're in TWRP 2.6.3.1 try going the the boot menu and reboot to bootloader. This should put you in fastboot. Next, connect to PC via USB. Type fastboot devices to see if it's working. Now fastboot flash recovery /(path and filename to TWRP 2.8.7.0) Once you have the newer version installed, remove usb cable and reboot to twrp and make sure mtd is enabled in the mount menu. You sould be able to connect usb cable and drag and drop your chosen ROM and gapps into the internal storage where you can install them with TWRP.

(adb & kindle usb driver already installed) sorry my english is not good
Make sure USB 2.0 or less on PC port. Try a different cable. Try another Android device just to make sure everything works on the computer.

Thanks again to you
Kindle show in my laptop but connect see pics.
Try installing mtp USB many times but not successfully installing in my laptop.
you need a newer version of twrp. If fastboot won't work, I don't know how you can flash a new recovery or bootloader.
The last thing to try would be to update adb and fastboot from Google or the Ubuntu repositories. https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html
Try: fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Try with root: sudo su
I have never used a fastboot cable. It hasn't been necessary but it may be in your case.
