XDA Forum Thread
This was posted in the Android One 1st Gen General subforum by @hjmodi, but the modified app work for many other devices too.
This was just recently updated to fix the error message that was showing in the last version. You can try the app if it works for you.
You need to uninstall the original version first to install this one. If it doesn't work, just reinstall the original by @rovo89.
Thank the original poster of this mod, also the maker of Xposed Framework!
Thread closed per OP request.

Here's the latest on when Xposed might be compatible with ART.

this phone is awesome
This stuff is beyond my understanding however it might be a clue that Xposed is still a long way from working with ART.

Hopefully they get that. The one thing that makes me hesitant to be happy about getting an update.

In an effort to keep Xposed questions/issues out of ROM threads since Xposed and/or a module related issue one might have; is not the fault of the ROM you are using and therefore shouldn't be asked in those threads. The devs have better things to do than read thru non related ROM issues.
Xposed for L is currently in alpha 4 (the apk says alpha 2 for now on; look at the zip file date) and it will work on the G2 albeit with some help; and I don't mean being rooted since that's a given. Before installing Xposed we need to, re-name/freeze LGCover in the priv-app folder and LGWeather and LGWeatherService in the app folder. P_Toti explains the issue here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58879600#post58879600 and here https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/27
Spoiler alert; Looks like he has a RC G2/G3 TweaksBox working for us. Post #4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53618487
After LGCover, LGWeather, and LGWeatherService are re-named/frozen head to the Official Xposed read-only thread I know a lot don't like to read, but if you plan on using this, you should read the whole OP. There's also a discussion thread that is a mess unfortunately, however there is valuable info in it, especially post # 2.
If you are one of the many that don't read before flashing, you can disable LGCover, LGWeather, and LGWeatherService thru adb after you realized the device won't boot properly. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59929667
I don't know what modules work and/or don't work. I only try them for testing purposes. You might be asking what modules work/don't work and don't know how to search. Well, I've found 3 threads to help you out. List of devices able to run Xposed on Lollipop , [Unofficial] List of working Modules for Xposed on Lollipop, and the one that helped me narrow down what should work, Xposed Lollipop compatible Modules
Since I don't/won't use Xposed, I am no help on how to use 99.9% of the modules, however there are many here that use them and can help. The XDA Community Apps has a link to the Xposed Framework Modules that can help you out with specific modules.

thanks for your help..but i am running stock gellybean 4.2.1 with xposed framework installed. can you please suggest an app or xposed module??
Search for "live dmesg" and "live logcat", they work on 4.1..4.3.
I'm an old guy who is new to making modifications to my phone and I really need some help.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a stock ROM and running Android 5.01. I've installed TWRP and made a backup. From there, I'm a little lost. From the reading that I've done, I know that Samsung has a bootloop issue. I've downloaded the Xposed ZIP for Samsung but in the details it said it runs on Android 5.1 and above. Here is what I need to know.
1. Will the modified framework work on 5.01 or is there another version of Xposed that I should be running?
2. Does anyone know if there is a written guide or a good step by step video that can walk me through the setup? Most of the stuff that I'm reading is written for people with more background in Android modifications than I actually have. I'm kind of looking for something written for a novice, that takes me through all of the steps.
3. A really basic question here that will give you an idea of my experience level. Everything I've read about Xposed on the Note 4 says that you have to flash the framework to the phone. How do you do that? I know that may sound like a stupid question but I'm a beginner.
Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to XDA.
Please have a look at this thread and read post #2.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/official-xposed-lollipop-t3030118
There you'll find all required information about how to identify the correct framework version for yourself. You have to use the framework version by XDA member arter97. A link to the corresponding thread can be found in the above mentioned post #2.
You have mostly set up everything that you need for flashing Xposed. Flashing means installing a file (either .zip or .img) through recovery. TWRP is a custom recovery, thus enabling users to flash custom modifications such as Xposed or custom ROM's. Just enter TWRP, chose Install, navigate to the file you want to install and proceed.
For video tutorials, just search YouTube for "flashing Xposed Lollipop Samsung" (or similar).
If you have further questions about the framework, please use the corresponding thread of arter97.
As an alternative, search XDA for "Material Design Xposed Installer". You'll find a thread of an unofficial version of the Xposed Installer app, which can help you to find and install the correct version in a more easier way. Don't worry about the description "unofficial", it is the same as the official version, beside the option to download and install framework versions for not officially supported versions like the one you need.
Thank you. Have run into another issue though and need further assistance.

Thank you for posting this thread. It helped me a lot but I've run into another issue. Specifically, deodexing my ROM. I've spent the better part of the past day researching this.
The thread you gave me has a link to a deodexing tool but I can't get it to work on the phone since windows 10 doesn't recognize the phone as a logical drive with a letter. Instead, it comes up by its name: Ganymede
Is there another way that you know of to deodex the ROM? I know that Titanium Backup Pro does deodexing but only for apps. They have a disclaimer that says they don't impact framework... which is what I'm assuming that I need to do. Or is there already a deodexed version of the stock Samsung ROM available to use? Again, I'm new to this so I really don't know what I'm looking for.

I am not familiar with how to deodex a ROM as I haven't done this before. But there is a dedicated sub-forum here on XDA for the Note 4 (even for different carriers, if this applies to you). A quick search for "Samsung Galaxy Note 4" will bring up all sub-forums. Identify the correct one for your device and check out the Q&A section or ROM development sections there. You might find either a guide about how to deodex a ROM, a deodexed ROM itself or a custom ROM, which does not necessarily need to be deodexed if it is based on an Android version different from 5.0.1.
As I am not familiar with both the Note 4 as well as the process of deodexing a ROM, I am afraid that I might be of no further help here. Hopefully you'll find some way in the above mentioned sub-forum.

Refering the post on XDA at https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
we've found this on repo
XposedMagisk-SDK25-ALL.zip
Edit: tried here and systemui got broken, needed to recover the nandroid
Edit2: removed the link and the attachment, there is a warning on original thread, saying: "For now don't use magisk module contain in magisk folder!!!", so then , i removed the attachment, feel free to download it on original thread by you own risk, for me dont worked at now
i think that Xposed at now is so Near than Far, so lets go wait a couple days to see the roll update
Edit3: Installed both, standalone xposed and magisk xposed sdk25 arm, and all give me a bootloop

tried already, my E6653 work properly so far, but safetynet can't pass, so i remove it.
i think xposed can be abandoned if magisk have more modules released like gravitybox (my favorite)
For anyone being excited about this, please bear in mind that these versions of Xposed for Nougat (7.1) popping up are nothing but a hack, based on some code released for integrating Xposed into new ROMs.
They are not to be considered stable and will most likely cause a whole lot of issues...
And, if anyone's interested, here are some thoughts from the man himself: https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/230#issuecomment-316560803
hi
i have been getting this message a lot on xposed SDK19 "dl.xposed.info/repo.xml.gz failed:302 (Moved temporarily)" cause of which am not able to receive the list of modules available, I am using "XposedInstaller_v2.6.1_by_SolarWarez_20151129" the only version that gets installed with updates for SDK19 on CM 11.
I know this is an old version which also means it can be solved with easy if any one can kindly help me out here..
You need an updated version of the xposed installer. There are changes on how the packages are downloaded and the installer must be updated. I know that the xposed installer from @DVDandroid has received this update as a modded version but I don't know the exact thread anymore. I only remember that the thread is in this category like this thread in "Xposed General".
I hope this information helps you a little bit to find a solution.
Edit: found it! It was an error regarding "converting http to https".
This is the thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758
And this is the commit itself if you need it for your version of the installer: https://github.com/DVDAndroid/XposedInstaller/commit/4ae125835c24c3db3f8542faa56de42416070fb2

thx a lot.. i didnt have any idea that there was a new update to xposed installer, for a long time i was holding on to the old version until it started giving issues .. now i can finally get my modules working again..
but just one more thing, the old version of xposed could easily be detected by snapchat, is it the same with xposed that DVDandroid has updated???
I don't use Snapchat and I have no idea how too deal with it.
Nice that your modules are working again and I am able to help.
