How to uninstall SuperSU that was installed through TWRP? - SuperSU

I accidentally confirmed installation of SuperSU while trying to exit TWRP (I wish TWRP had an option to disable it) ;[
How do I uninstall it? As I'm unable to boot into my phone anymore((

Does your LG G4 haven't got a key press combination to go to bootloader menu ?
Oooh wait first hit on Google search.
How to Boot into Fastboot Mode on LG G4 with the help of its Hardware Buttons:
First of all, turn off the smartphone.
Then, press and hold the Power and Volume Up keys at the same time for about 6 or 7 seconds.
Plug in the USB cable for your smartphone and connect it to your PC.
Release the keys only when the download mode is being displayed.

You have to use the clean up option in the app or remove the app manually through terminal or adb shell

How can I remove the app manually? When I open SuperSU, it won't let me open it because SuperSU says something like "cannot install SuperSU" and quits.

[Q] Htc One Root help!

Just tried rooting the phone for the first time. Not too familiar with rooting. Only done a few phones before.
Unlocked boot loader on dev site. Installed TWRP just fine. Installing root package went fine, but I was unable to install busybox. It would either fail to install, or crash the phone and reboot. I found a root + busybox zip, flashed that, and then SuperSU said I wasn't rooted at all! Tried flashing the old SuperSU root package again, but I'm still not rooted anymore. Can someone give me a quick fix for this please?
Thanks.
Is there anyone that can give me some advice? It would be MUCH appreciated!
hi friend ..
i'm also new about rooting hTC (1st time).i'd like to help, but not good enough on explanation ..i root my hTC One on day 2nd bought it.Might some help from youtube and xda topics about unlock bootloader, s-off & rooting.
after u done unlock bootloader, just download twrp zip or cwm zip..extract it copy twrp file (img) on fastboot folder (on pc drive with fastboot files for unlock bootloader process).
right click img file to open as cmd. Then type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" then press enter..if u see word just like okay u can go back to bootloader mode, select recovery if u see word on top of screen while htc booting mode that's mean u already done flashing recovery.wait just 2 second, twrp should appear..u should download superSU or super user early put on ur sd then u flash it use twrp..check ur root status use root checker or titanium backup.lastly u tap on superSU or super user icon to update binary (for this method i'm not sure u need to update or not) might somebody got any best answer..
sorry for bad english & too simple methods.

System Update on Rooted Device

I've been getting "System update available" notifications for a while now, figured I might as well go through with it. But it just boots the phone into TWRP.
Is there a way to update a rooted phone?
You need a stock recovery to update Official OTA.
How do I get it? This and just flash it the same way I flashed TWRP?
Will I then have to flash TWRP again when I'm done? Do I need to back anything up before I start?

yes you can use that. flash it like TWRP, boot phone and update. then flash TWRP again. DONE
Okay, so I've downloaded the stock recovery, gone into a command prompt window and typed:
fastboot flash recovery "M8_MINI_UL_Stock_Recovery_2.19.401.2.img"

Got an error about a missing DLL, and then a 'fastboot.exe has stopped responding' error.
Try to reinstall ADB drivers.
http://www.koushikdutta.com/post/universal-adb-driver
And I won't have to back anything up, yeah?
The other thing...the stock recovery is version 2.19.401.2, and the update it's trying to install is 1.18.841.4. Is that going to be an issue?

After official OTA you need to root again.
That wipes the entire phone, doesn't it?
If I'm going to be doing that anyway, is there a way I can update to the newest Android/Sense version?

the link i send you contains zip with super user. use TWRP to flash that instead of TWRP normal request. you can then update superuser via Google play
In TWRP, I went to 'install', then selected the SuperSU file, it did stuff, then came back with 'successful', I rebooted the phone...still no root. No SuperSU listed in my apps either.
EDIT: Flashed SuperSU 2.65 instead, and that worked, but the popups don't. Every time I do something that needs root access, it pops up a message asking if I want to grant that app root, and there's a timer, but none of the buttons do anything. Somehow Titanium Backup was still in SuperSU as allowed, and I got Root Checker to somehow go in as 'ask again' so I could manually set it to 'grant', but I can't get ES File Explorer root access at all.

I flashed the newest version of SuperSU, so there was no update. But after updating ES File Explorer, SuperSU works. Don't know if there's a connection though.
Is there a way I can get Marshmallow and Sense 7 on my device?

Marshmallow only with custom roms like cm12
Sense 7 no because HTC wont update mini 2 and there's no ports due lack of development in this phone

[Root] Rooting any official MIUI version on Redmi Note 4g

Hi,
I found it on web and i don't really remember from where i got it but its not my work so all credits to whom so ever it may be concerned.
##Please proceed at your own risk, i am note responsible for any damage to your device or any data loss.
Below is a zip file that will root nearly any version of MIUI on Redmi Note 4g.
Tried and tested on miui 7 & 8.
##Need Someone to test on MIUI 6##
Its a superuser flashable zip rooting file for Redmi Note 4g only.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8CWcCKLg4hraUZXMDVLc050TWM/view?usp=drivesdk
**To Root**
Please make a backup of your data before starting to root your device.
Recommended: Do not connect to any internet network such as wifi,gprs,3G/4G...
to avoid update searching issue till the process is over.
1)Download the above rooting .zip file from the above URL and save it into your internal/external SD Card(Recommend in your internal SD Card).
2) Now open Updater App of MIUI and open options.(3 dots in the right at the top)
3) Now choose the option "Choose Update Package". Now the file manager will get open.
4)Locate the .zip file that you downloaded in the file manager and click on it(For MIUI 8: After clicking on the file it gets selected and then click on ok).
5)Wait for the process to get over. Phone will restart and you will see the superuser app installed now.
6)Now open the app and a pop up will come to update su.Click on Ok and in that select Normal/CWM or TWRP as per the recovery you have installed on your device.
7) That's it now your device is successful rooted.
##Note: Its not a native root.
**To UNROOT**
1)Just Open The SuperSU App
2)Click on Settings. Then, click On Full Unroot option.
3)Then Click Continue, and the unrooting will begin.
4)After a reboot, your phone should be clean of the root.

iT may cause your phone no reaction while connecting to The Pc if you use The latest supersu version on supersu official website. I prefer phh's superuser . I rooted my mido perfectly With it.
I tried the above method but I accidentally selected twrp method when su asked to update.
Now the phone stuck at MI boot loop screen I can only access to fast boot mode but can't enter recovery mode.
So any help ?
Is the file size 2.81 MB only?
Phone stuck/ Damaged
Im also having same problem.
After flashing Su, it asked for reboot. When i reboot, it is stuck in MI logo and not restarting. i observed this for more than 10 hrs. When i tried to start with recovery, again it is stuck is FASTBOOT screen and not progressing. My phone is not usable now. Please help

Explain where to put it or help with a step by step guide I am using CLT-L09 if that helps thanks so much.

Install the unofficial one from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3779400
Just flash it over the one you currently have with the same method you used before via fastboot.
When you issue the 'fastboot reboot' command after installing unplug the usb cable straight away and hold volume up button until it boots to TWRP. This will stop TWRP being overwritten by stock recovery on first boot. Disable all fingerprint/pin/password/face unlock security first, to be able to see your files correctly.
Youre better off flashing Magisk than SuperSU

How do I update supersu binaries?

Just successfully installed Supersu 2.81 (2.81 because the guide I used said it's the most stable version) when my phone rebooted the playstore promted me to update Supersu so. being the clueless noob that I am I updated it. Now it keeps failing when it's trying to update binaries. I can still use supersu and still have root access though. It's just annoying seeing that message to update binaries.
I have the same problem, I've even tried flashing the SuperSU .zip manually using TWRP! It reboots my phone before it finishes the flashing process. Does anyone know how to update it?

Open Supersu, navigate to the settings, scroll down and do a full unroot. Your phone will reboot so make sure you activate twrp before your phone boots fully otherwise you'll have to reinstall twrp again via adb cause your phone will overwrite twrp after it boots.
Download Supersu 2.82 here (the one I have is the no additive version just root) and just flash it with twrp. Done. Easy.
