so I bought MDR-XB50 a year ago and pared it with Xperia TX, they work so damn fine, never got any problem.
then I switch to Z3+ few weeks ago, still worked as good, until few days ago when suddenly my music went out on the Z3+'s speakers instead of my MDR-XB50. They no longer work together.
the thing is, my MDR-XB50 still works just fine with any computer, and my Z3+ can use just any different headphone (no mic)
apparently, there's an app call Soundabout, and it has an option called "Wired Headset with Mic" (which is the type of my MDR-XB50) and only by using this they can work together again.
So, what was the problem? how do I get back to how it wa, without using another app.
Many thanks.

Hi all,
My dad has an i900 which I put darky 7.0 on many months ago. Since then I personally moved on to the i9300 so ive not kept up with the i9000 scene, so excuse me if im a bit rusty!
So his audio was working fine through headset, but he hasnt used a headset for a few months.
His headphones broke and he replaced them with some REALLY cheap £1 ones which didnt work properly.
He has now purchased some "genuine" ones from ebay for "£1". He says they look like they are authentic, but he has the same issue.
Basically the issue is that he has no sound. However the sound works when he gets an incoming call. After that the sound works on everything until he disconnects and reconnects the headset, then it doesnt work again until he gets another call...
Now I would say that maybe the headphones are fakes, but as I dont live close I cant check and as the audio does actually work after a call, I think this may be software related.
Is this a known issue that can be fixed easily?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
So I am having some problems with headphones and my Z3 Compact.
Some time ago my headphones (NOCS NS500 android version) stopped working. Phone wasn't detecting when they are plugged in. I thought that headphones them self got somehow damaged. But they work fine with my pc and tablet.
Headphones that came with the phone work just fine.
After some google'ing I made my NOCS work again with soundabout, but controls don't work, NOCS app for that doesnt work either.
So the question is - is there a way to fix this? So that my phone sees these headphones as Sony headphones?
Thanks
P.S. I did go through general part of the Z3C forum and used search didn't find anything helpful So I am sorry if this was already asked and answered.
Hello everyone,
I've been using my device with my car for a while, then about a month ago I started having issues. I ended up factory wiping my device and it worked well again for a couple of weeks. Now it's dead again...
When I make a call with my phone my car recognizes a call if being made but there is no audio. It pairs correctly, but there's nothing.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
I only started having this problem after I installed CM13. Stock rom worked fine....
If I receive a call it usually works ok, although sometimes the music playback doesn't stop
Okay, I have a strange thing going on here.......
I bought my first bluetooth headset which is Jabra Storm (I ride a bike don't have a car) so it started gettting cracked when connected to my Xperia Z1 even my phone got unresponsive many times with that headset so I gifted that headset to my brother who has Motorola Droid Turbo, but before gifting him I checked that very headset with one of my friend's phone Xperia SP and one another phone it was still problematic, maybe it was a high copy of Jabra storm?? anyway then I bought LG-Tone Music HBS-730 which is also a high copy I'm sure but it works fine with my phone....... then out of curiosity I bought another Bluetooth headset "Motorola HK250" original, which is far better than the jabra storm co'z now it never got auto disconnect and connect at all but when on Bike if I turn my head right (and xperia z1 is in my left pocket ) the music sometimes break and sometimes it works fine. In a room it works fine... I also have a smartwatch 2 on my right hand but it's bluetooth is always off so I don't think this one is causing problem..
So what's up here?
The phone has faulty bluetooth? (I even installed Xperia Z1 bluetooth fixed from Market)
The Environment has interference with the device ? (I almost travel too much to check this)
Or
Bluetooth headsets aren't meant for Riding bikes ?
I'm confused , thanks for reply in advance.
I did a search, but either my search terms were ineffective, or no one has had this problem.
I purchased a new S-5 last Fall, but didn't activate it with ATT until a couple of weeks ago.
I just tried to use my phone with "Square" payment system (plugs into the headset jack), and it wouldn't accept credit card swipes. I then tried the card reader with my Samsung tablet and it worked fine, so I tried a headset with my S-5, and the earphones worked fine, but there was no sound being sent from the microphone.
This leads me to think there's something wrong with the phone itself, or the headset jack in the phone.
I made sure that my APP for "Square" has the microphone enabled under settings, and it does.
Is there some setting for the phone itself (not the APP being used) that allows one to enable or disable the headset microphone that may be set to "Disable", or do I just have a bad phone?
Thanks,
Bob
