Ok, i've just recently flashed a couple of ROMs and found out that of those none works with GSM networks, so which ROMs do work with GSM networks?

The people in these forums are going need a little more information. Are you SIM Unlocked? What GSM SIM card do you have? What ROM's did you flash that you say don't work? What is your current setup. ROM, Firmware, S-OFF? You know all the fun stuff that helps people answer your question.

Best thing when it comes to radios, try the new radio. Compare and contrast how your signal holds up using the newer radio. Ask yourself some questions.
- Is the new radio holding a stronger signal or faster speeds?
- Is the battery life with the new radio draining additional battery than my previous radio?
etc..... then after a couple days, conclude which radio is the best for you. If the newer radio isn't as good, revert back to the old radio.
Radios are independent of Android versions so u can use whatever radio u want. Just use the one that is best for you because one size doesn't fit all. No best radio.

From my understanding, LMY47M is the Australian/international build. I believe this new LMY47I build is intended for US customers (SIM card optimizations) - but I could be wrong.

Where is the proof that this is true? Not flaming but why would LMY47I be just for Australia when it contains Sim fixes for all carriers? Until Google explains themselves, this is just speculation.

That's not proof, that's android police speculating just as you are. There's been no definitive answer from Google. Only guessing from multiple sources. Again, I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm just saying that I, personally, don't agree until something from Google says otherwise. I'm anxious to see if anyone running stock 5.1 LMY47D/E/M gets an OTA to LMY47I. Also, nothing is labeled as what you describe on the factory images page. In the past, specific builds have been identified on the factory images page, with info on which specific device they are for. Doesn't add up, in my opinion.

Also that is not proof. I think you're confused as to what proof is.
Here is what proof isn't...
A post or article from any "news source" who either is not quoting or is not themselves, Google.
I'm not saying its not true. I'm saying you cannot cite articles written by android "reporters" who regularly get their facts wrong - as proof.

How long did it take to boot? I waited atleast 12 minutes... It stayed on the google splashscreen
So I went to Weibo and found this explanation...
It's from Google Translate (and doesn't make much sense to me). Maybe someone can work it out....
Go here to download the main ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589 after brushing brush into the whole model S.ROM-M8-GPE6.0-M8-FullBoot-based -Sense (5.0+) dtb.zip to boot. Note: This whole model kernel 5.0.x Sense DTB-based firmware, so firmware 5.0.1 (4.4.4 may also be used) or more M8, including the M8 dual card support is turned on, but the decision is available dual card system, Under the present circumstances there is no dual card GPE m8 dual cards are not compatible with the brush into. The system defaults to GSM / WCDMA / LTE support, telecommunications users do not brush into. If this is ignored piracy under this boot as the first full-model 6.0. Please wait M Sense7 http://pan.baidu.com/s/1kTETk2b

That's why you unable to boot .. you need to change sepolicy in the ramdisk with the one that you have (the one meant for root)
OK, I'm here to translate it much clearly. Also uploaded in attachment for convenience.
Please download the rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589
After flashing S.ROM-M8-GPE6.0-M8-FullBoot-based-Sense(5.0+)dtb.zip, it should boot.
Note: This all-model kernel is based on 5.0.x Sense DTB, so using firmware higher than 5.0.1 should be compatible. By using this kernel, all models should be able to boot, even include dual sim models. Although it boots, whether the network is usable is determined on the system, by now there is no GPE rom which support dual sim models. The system default network is GSM/WCDMA/LTE, so CDMA is not supported.
If there is no people stealing my work, this should be the first all-model-boot for 6.0

I have searched but cannot seem to find the very latest radio file for the Nexus 6. I've got a Google Play version, using on T-Mobile.
My speeds don't seem to be what they should, and I am on a 6.0.1 custom ROM, but never updated the modem file, and afaik none of the custom ROMs do the update, I never did flash a factory update either.
Is there a latest T-Mobile radio or something I could flash to possibly fix my speeds etc.?

if I need root after I in a phone, I either use our work computer or ask a friend
I literally do everything with the device itself, like in terminal, or just modifications in its filesystems. only root, unlocking the bootloader(it will never get locked again), and flashing twrp for the first time. flashing radios/bootloaders is usually through a twrp flashable.
