Help returning to stock/unroot - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello! Its been a while since I've done this and I am looking for some help. I am on android 4.4.2, rooted and running FirekatDeodex19N4. I am looking to unroot and return completely to stock. I do not have any backups. They were on a SD card that was lost. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!

So from the little I have been able to find, it looks like all the original files are no longer hosted anywhere? :/ I know a lot of people probably dont use this old phone anymore but I really need to get it back to stock and unrooted. Is this even possible or am I screwed?

Will someone please help me? I have searched and searched and everytime I think I have figured it out, its outdated or the files arent available or the comments say it didnt work. I would greatly appreciate some help here.

wrong forums and it's actualy easy if you just read 1 post on this forum...
why would you relock the bootloader? that's just stupid and risky to do.. if it's done it's done.. it's easyer to do everything with an unlocked one anyway.
next time read before you ask:

I just found this...
Not sure which way you go but do so at your own risk as always.

Help Please

Hey guys,
I have the latest update 2.31.651.7 on my HTC Hero right now. For whatever reason when I try to install the 2.27.651.6 version I get 140 bootloader version error all the time. This is getting really annoying and I have spent countless days trying to figure this out but I got nowhere. I have already rooted the phone by universal androot. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you in advance
Why are you wanting to go to .6? And if your rooted why are you sticking with the stock rom? Honestly man READ a ton before doing any of this. Even rooting.

Yes, reading is your friend, to fix 140 go to my links thread.
I literally tried everything possible and I am pretty sure by now I have gone through all the links and threads here in xda. The reason I wanted to go back to 3.27.651.6 was so that I could load custom roms which dont seem to be possible with my current version because I keep getting the 140 error.
Uh........*cough*....ahem. Yeah. Get it fixed?
so does anyone have any advice on what to do? Since getting the new version and the update I seem to be unable to load custom roms anymore.

So did you go to my links thread? Click on my user name, go to thread started by me, find the 140 fix?

It seems like you were rooted and accepted the over the air update. If that's the case then you may just have lost root and need to reroot you phone again. Try the one click root app in themes and apps section.

Root this way also if ya like....

Anyone have a copy of Cognition 4.5.1?

The "Old Builds" are down for me, and that version has been MUCH more stable for me than 4.5.3. I'd REALLY appreciate it if someone could help me to find the ZIP. I'm not having much luck
I have it. But I don't know how I can get it to you. any ideas?
If you could, there are a bunch of upload sites, like http://www.mediafire.com you could use to temporarily host the file. If it won't eat into your bandwidth! I'd owe you TONS!
I'll work on it now and get back with you in a bit.
See if this works. (disclaimer: not my fault if anything bad happens to your phone)
No worries, I have flashed this very file on my Captivate with no problems.

Thank you SO much! It's downloading right now, and I haven't flashed it yet, but it should go off without a hitch! Sweet!

[Q] Need help updating ATT GS5 After Unrooting (towelroot unroot via SuperSu)

Now that I'm uprooted and it doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to reroot, I'd at least like to be able to update to the new 5.0 when it rolls out, and on top of that it keeps popping up every day that I have an update available, currently 4.4.2
Please help. I'm pretty good with stuff like this, but no genius by any means, so the more detailed the info the better. I've heard that I might need to use ODIN to put a factory image on there but can't find one for the AT&T GS5, only Version. Thanks, and again, I would greatly appreciate any and all help, advice, and tips. Great forum btw!

What he said... and look closely, there are a few ways listed in that post.
Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. I pretty much followed the first set of instructions and re-rooted my phone, which is good, but I'd much rather be able to update my phone without the update crashing every time... But learning and playing and having fun, so hopefully I'll get this figured out soon. Thanks guys
