Almost i tried everything to get it, but no luck. Does someone has any new about it? About how i can reach the IMEI informations? Where they are stored? Please help me.. I searched all the forum but i couldn't find any result. Thank you everyone

Hi there,
I have a galaxy S I9000. The IMEI i have on my phone when i press *#06# is 004999010640000.
I have NO backup of the EFS folder. Sure.
However, I know the IMEI has it is written on the back on the phone.
How can i restore that?
i have to say that i tried downgrading using ODIN... phone is ok in download mode... I did a lot of research but no luck so far.
Thanks
Hello to recover your IMEI you have to flash a stock 2.3.6 ROM and then backup your EFS folder.
After installing new version, if the problem is persist then restor simply your EFS folder.
Hi Higgins91
Thanks for your answer. With all due respect, I dont think it is a correct solution as I tried it and it did not work.
However, maybe before reinstalling the Stock 2.3.6 i should have tottaly delete the EFS folder (the one with the wrong IMEI). Then the Stock "could" recreate the EFS with the correct IMEI on the phone... (thats only what I did read in another forum - But I have not tested).
Luckily I found my previous EFS backed up. (I thought i never did it, but i did 2 years ago ehheh).
Subject closed, even if there is no real bullet proff solution for that.
Thanks
theres athread in here somewhere about that sorry cant remember where read it about a year ago and if it wasnt here it was on darkyrom Q&A maybe
Hello, I lost IMEI data from my i9305 :\
Trying to fix it whole day, but I give up now, im done.
I tried several guides (sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15196) but nothing helps.
Basicly biggest problem I face is that when I dial to *#7284# it shows "Network is not avilable" so nothing happens, or with another method with removing EFS folder, after backuping it at SDcard1 I have no .nv_data file to modify it and fix everything.
I use SentinelROM v6.0, I tried installing some modified modems, but it was retarded from me. I installed one from orginal firmware today meanwhile I was trying to fix IMEI :\
Can anyone help me?
@edit
I dont have backup. Imei and baseband - unknown ;(
I also would like to add that I know my imei (have it written down :3), but can I somehow rebuild efs based on it :3?
I feel so lucky, I flashed orginal firmware through odin and everything is fine now I just need to upload 4.4 again, and make backup for future!
That was my lesson :3 Thread can be closed.
I'm still with my broken SGS3 mini (GT-i8190) using it only for computer. I cannot make any call or something like that, so the internal signal doesn't work.
My phone broke about a year ago (IMEI null, not generic; Serial Number modificated; unknown baseband). This happended when I tried to flash the thirth time the ENOX ROM, and a couple of days after the phone begun to run slower, and 4 hours after (during the same day) the phone have frozen and didn't boot anymore.
Then I tried to flash (stocks ROM, stocks ROM with root, CM, Carbon ROM, etc...) and I cannot regenerate or recover the IMEI/SN/Baseband.
I have not any box to try to fix my phone, and I cannot buy one (a lot of money for me just now).
I thought that if it possible a thing, I would like to test but I don't know if it's possible.
I was thinking in take a entire EFS folder from other device SGS3 mini (same model, no L/N) and try to edit the files that contains the IMEI information and this thinks with hexadecimal editor. It would be possible? Or it's stupid try to do this? I don't know... **** (sorry).

Yes your EFS is broken. EFS is a partition and not just a folder You can backup a EFS from a another s3 mini and restore it to your one but you will get signal problems example WiFi because same MAC address) and the other s3 mini too. You should know the IMEI number is NOT saved in EFS partition, the real IMEI is saved in a hidden partition so it means you didn't lose your IMEI. But your IMEI security key code (it's saved in /efs>imei) is gone and it means you will never get access to your IMEI number again.

Thanks for all...
Imei is probably stored in CSPSA partition which is mmcblk0p9. I can see my serialnr in there and referees to modemfs, but the rest is encrypted.
I started to look at this a bit closer today to see if I can find out how this all is put together.(efs/modemfs/CSPSA).

a friend of mine has blank IMEI problem. I've tried several ways like EFS pro etc. but they all don't work. Has anyone any Idea how I can make this phone work
You should post this in Galaxy SL section.
Maybe flashing a full DDLF2 will restore it. Try and pray

there is no galaxy sl section so I posted it here with an etiquette.
I've tried it unsuccessfully

I'm sorry for your IMEI mate. Maybe EFS folder and baseband are just unmounted?
You could have restored it with EFS professional only if you have previously created a backup while IMEI was still there. I don't like tools, I would rather use terminal command.
However, the service can restore your IMEI with JTAG. Good luck.

unfortunately I dont have a backup. maybe there's an other way to fix it?
Hello Everyone! I was on ResurrectionROM LP v5.4.3. I flashed Raw kernel. I lost my IMEI and baseband. I somehow repaired my BaseBand but have generic IMEI 00499. I tried almost all things. I didnt know this could happen and so i dont have a backup of the efs folder. I dont have the original shipped IMEI folder, so this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-recover-imei-9-steps-t1264021 wont help me. I searched throughout the internet. Searched all xda threads. Tried all of them, but couldnt get my IMEI back. Can someone please help me? Is using those dongles and boxes the only way to get my IMEI back?
My problem has been solved. Thanks XDA. Requesting this thread to be deleted.
