You'll have to find a kernel that supports it.

AK kernel supports it, I think it's the only one. You need to have the right display to get it working, Motorola built two different displays for the Moto G 2014, there is a thread somewhere how to check out which one you own.

Is there an LG knock knock apk app available for the Moto X?
AFAIK , no. but there's a few apps that can turn your phone on by shaking it

Swiping down when Active Notifications is displaying turns on the device. I actually prefer this to knock on.
I think it has to be built into the kernel. There are double tap to wake features that can be built into a kernel, I use DT2W on my Nexus 7.2 and it is really nice, and i agree that the active notifications make it easy, but there are sometimes i don't want to nudge my phone (first world problems) to get them to activate. A simple double tap makes things that much easier.

This and I double tap on my homescreen to turn it off with Screen Off and Lock (Donate) via a gesture in Nova Launcher Prime.

I just picked up a Moto X earlier this evening and I had two questions about it.
1. Can you add slider shorcuts on the lock screen like you can on CM11?
2. Is there a way to disable the vibrate feature when using active display?
Thanks in advance
Daniel

1. Not on stock, maybe there is a mod or something like that, but you would have to unlock your bootloader and root ( assuming you are on 4.4.2)
2. There is since the last update, go to your settings -> sound and uncheck vibrate on touch

If you have a carrier branded model (vzw, or at&t) you will not be able to unlock the boot loader... You can however root the device and with gravity box you can have lock screen widget shortcuts when you touch the unlock symbol it will show the shortcuts you preset.
MOTO X SLAPPED
Thanks so much if anyone else knows? It looks horrible...
There are quite a few xposed modules that will handle this. I personally like running ART so I'm hoping someone comes up with a SystemUI mod like the 2013 Moto X that makes all the icons AOSP.
Do you have a recco for a light xposed app that would do this?
It isn't light but gravitybox has this.
I have gravitybox installed but cant find anywhere to turn off the 4glte symbol when wifi is on? Am i just missing it somewhere?
The module is MotoXposed but I don't know if it works on the 2014.

Unfortunately moto xposed does not work on the new moto x. Anyone else find a "fix"? Thanks

It should be under status bar tweaks > signal cluster

Thanks... I did go there but there is nowhere to hide the 4g symbol when on WiFi...

Go to the main settings screen. Under "Wireless and Networks" choose "More."
Now choose "Mobile Networks."
Uncheck "Show mobile network."
AFAIK there isn't one, hopefully someone will create a SystemUI mod like the original Moto X had. I hate that 4g icon so hopefully we can get AOSP.

Thank you! Couldn't stand this after coming over from the Nexus 5.
Hello I just got the Nexus 6 tonight, rooted and installed TWRP now. Gonna install my first ROM now, just a stock tweaked ROM to start off with Franco kernel. Couple questions please;
- How do I enable Double Tap 2 Wake on the phone with the new ROM and Kernel ? For Franco does he have an app I need to download from the Play Store to active the D2TW ?
- And how do I enable the Notification LED ?

Most roms have double tap to wake enabled by default. For Franco, if you buy the paid app then there's a option to disable or enable double tap.
The paid app is called Franco kernel updater. The free version is for updating only.

I'm new to the n6. Do we have low-power digitiser mode for double tap 2 wake?

I honestly have no idea, but having double tap to wake enabled doesn't cause any significant battery drain or at all.
Seeing that Google had the code already in the device but was disabled, I would have to say that it does? But I can't confirm. It would only make sense that the phone has the low power digitizer if Google was deciding to add double tap to wake but decided to have it disabled.

The code may just be there though. The code for ambient display is on the nexus 5 (hidden) but its an LCD. I wonder if this code is on the N5 too as that definitely doesn't have a low power digitiser mode.
Hmmm...
Could i make double TAP and led notifications without apps? I prefer to modify settings/files manually if possible.
There is a double tap mod. Led notifications, maybe ROM or kernel
And how abot double-tap to switch off the display? Like LG has?
Tnx!
