Unrooting? - Sprint LG G4

I am on UltraPoP Rom V1.2. Can I unroot by just flashing a Stock ZV6 unrooted factory img using dd comands? Thanks in advance

Never mind, that seemed to do the trick!

All who want to return to stock, can just DD the Non-Rooted system partition back and factory reset. Just remember, if you modified the Carrier directory at all, there is no backup of that unless you made one yourself not even in the TOT files....

Yes it is just a matter of reverting any mods you make, making sure the superuser apk is installed as a user application,, then delete the su binary in /system/xbin/ folder. After that a factory reset will take it back to stock.
oh ok. Thanks a lot!

My data folder is empty now. I tried to fastboot image back twice with onemeila's image. Nothing changed.
Anyone have the same problem? Or anywhere to get the original image to flash back? Even 7.15 or lower version.
Thanks!
Need Original Image

If you are talking about the image from the KFHD_SRTool then nothing changed in the data folder because the data folder has nothing to do with the .img in the tool you used. That is an .img of the system partition. There are ten other partitions from this device, Its just the system image is the most important and usually the one people mess with, inadvertently bricking their device. I don't quite understand what you are trying to do?

[Q] Adding back LIB files with stock recovery

FOLLOWING THIS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2774730 I softbricked when removing the iq lib files. I was told how to put them back on in recovery, but I believe that is with cwm. Is there a method of pushing the libs back to the system with stock recovery, or do i need to learn how to use adb? Also is there a way to temporarily flash cwm without tripping knox? I am running the latest software version and am pretty sure to be the first to brick after rooting.
The bootloader is locked which prevents us from installing a custom recovery like cwm. If you followed your modifying procedures properly you can restore a backup. You did a backup before modifying files no?

I feel as if I let you down.... Never used tb before.. Really don't mind starting from scratch.. But I don't think any restore method works for 4.4... I may be wrong..
I believe a few people on nc2 release have restored their phone using this method.

[Q] Upgrade to 5.0.1

Hey guys,
Even after reading tons of threads, I cant seem to manually sideload an update for 5.0.1.
I just got this Nexus 6, but have been a long time user since Nexus 4.
What is the easiest way to upgrade to 5.0.1 without loosing all my data? Thanks again!
So you're stock unrooted? What happens when you sideload? Please give more info
Ive already tried to download the patch but cant seem to apply, even following a few guides.....

I am stock, rooted, unlocked. I tried to manually sideload with no success. I also tried the nexus toolbox. I get all the way to the end, and it looses ADB connection
@RoysGTI
If you are rooted, you will not be able to side load the update. And "unroot" will still leave some files which will prevent it from installing.
You need to extract the system.img from 5.0.0 and fastboot flash it. This will leave your user data intact. Then after flashing the update, you will have to reroot.
I assume you are still encrypted?

Could you assist me in the flashing of the system.img? How will that get me to 5.0.1?
I am not sure if I am encrypted or not.....

You need to take a step back and do some reading and studying before doing anything else with your phone. You don't want to risk doing something wrong and bricking your device. Read and study these tutorials before proceeding further. Make sure you thoroughly understand everything, before proceeding. And don't hesitate to ask questions in those respective threads.

Ok, I followed the first steps again, and restored back to original stock factory image. Going to check my version and then reroot.
Once I root again, will I have to do this same process for every OTA update?

Boot loop problem

I previously had the LS991ZV5 update but I wanted to update. I was rooted so I did the full unroot in SuperSU and when I reset my phone, it was stuck. I went to install a firmware version. I accidentally installed the US Cellular firmware. I have tried all the threads I know of. I tried to edit build.prop to "trick" LG Flash Tool into thinking it was a Sprint model(which it is but the firmware wasn't.), however I messed up and now am stuck on the LG logo. This is my only phone. Is there anything I can do?

That's not how to unroot.
You have to restore the ZV5 image you backed up. You did make a backup right?
You can try to restore a ZV5 image (they are available for folks that didn't make one or lost it) or use the TOT process to restore it.
Look in the thread for TOT, Images, ZV5 ZV6 in developer forum. Everything you need is there.
Your phone should be recoverable.
Since you are still on ZV5 only use the ZV5 stuff until you successfully apply the ZV5 to ZV6 OTA Update.

Well right now, I'm on the US991 firmware not the Sprint one so I'm not on ZV5 I don't think. I also can't get past the LG logo. I have the tot but I kept getting errors and I checked the LG Flash Tool error log and it kept saying invalid tot file. Where is this ZV5 image though?

Pure Stock Nandroid or Zip?

When I opened this phone up and rooted it, I never thought to make a nandroid backup of the original OS in all of its unrooted Glory. Now I see the light and would like to have had done that before I flashed all of the amazing roms we have in our section. That being said. Could someone backup the original shipped OS and post it? Would it work for another device such as mines(XT1806)?Maybe perhaps does someone have a completley stock zip file to flash that wouldn't have a probability of screwing up imei? Just wondering.
