I want to unlock my asus zenfone 4 bootloader using the UnlockTool,then it said unknown connection issue,im using wifi but why it said that connection error :crying::crying::crying:

It was a server problem now try again ... it Will workk asus fixed the issue

Hello, I am a follower of your forum, and I want to thank and congratulate all the help they provide, but for you even would use eclair: D I have the following question, my phone is 11w35, and would unlock the bootloader, but I'm afraid meet with a hard brick, I have read all the guidelines on the matter, and I would like to know your opinion on the matter, which method would you recommend to do it? that I have a chance to survive if I risk my phone? I did the check with s1tool and gives me the message SEMC simlock certificate, so I can do that ... according but still I have my doubts ..
another question ... if I do the process and failure ... is there any way we can know that my smartphone died for trying to unlock the bootloader? I'm from chile: D and good that, thanks for the help

the risk is of hardbrick is there since your on 11w29 above.so stay on stock kernel.goodluck

You can try it, but the risk of having a hardbrick is big because you have a phone that is w29+ and w29+ phones have patched the bootloader exploit.

well ... if you try unlocking the bootloader .... 2 things can happen ...
1. success - a but better phone
2. fail - no phone
Don't try you will have hard brick...my opinion...

If u are going to do it, find a guy who own jtag box. It would be better if he will be a friend of ur. Cause then u can unbrick it for free if it hardbricked.

a friend gave me his x8 to do the work with bootloader and kernel...his was a 11w35 too...he has an unlocked bootloader and alfs v9 now

hi all, i already use search button and also google but still not find the answers... after i unlock bootloader my X8 can't detected sim card. already try my sim card in to other phone and running find. i already back to stock rom and relock my bootloader and still not detected. and then i try to unlock bootloader and istall custom kernel and custom room and result still same can't detect. what can i do it?? pls help...
Before unlocking BL you should take out sim card ,now you only can repair with PC companion program

I believe you are out of luck for the time being unless somebody finds a way to unlock without a unlock code

You ordered your SIM unlocking code from web (using your IMEI) and it failed?
Or you just entered some random numbers?

If for some reason you sent a wrong IMEI you get a wrong Code.

Yes, it is a problem to Unlock the Bootloader in Lollipop.
I saw a Custom Bootloader Unlocking Tool prepares by Satzyb for ZenFone 5 & 6.
Hope to get a Custom Bootloader Unlocking Tool for ZenFone 4 also.
Please someone share if you have anything that will work.

I unlocked the bootloader successfully on 5.0 without problems. And that there is some kind of mistake?

I have successfully unlock boatloader and install CyanogenMod 12.1 on my zenfone 4.
Please check your internet connection first or try use wifi. Good Luck.
Bootloader Unlocker is not working. I get the message "Unknown error connecting to network" even when using Wi-Fi
It was a server error, earlier the app was getting problem in connection with Asus Servers to Unlock, but now its solved you easily can unlock the bootloader even on Kitkat or Lollipop.

While unlocking bootloader all data got wiped or not?

can anyone help me, in 2020 I can't unlock the bootloader using the unlock device tool, it says uknown error which maybe a network connection issue.
My phone is stolen . Anything that can help please suggest me... I have IMEI no.
