Being a Chinese phone (I mean a proper one only sold in China) there is not much choice for cases in the UK.
Any recommendations.

I have accumulated 7 cases in total for this phone, all made by Xiaomi. (It's mostly due to a series of coincidences, I don't think I've had so many cases for all my previous phones in total.):

The Smart Cover: I have three of them in black, white, and "military green." The quality is actually very decent and it doesn't make the phone much thicker. If you are after a case that covers every part of the phone, I'd recommend it. If I had to pick just one color, I'd choose the brownish green one. There's also a real-leather smart cover but it seems to be out of stock.
The Real-Wood Shell Case: I have two, bamboo and the darker one (I think the tree is called Dalbergia in English). This just covers the back and the sides of the phone, leaving the front exposed. The wood on the back is very nice but although the edge is very well made, it's still plastic, and the metal frame being covered by it would look way better otherwise. Wouldn't really hurt them to make this part out of metal, of which they have an oversupply in China anyway... Still not bad though. Of the two, the lighter one pairs better with the phone, mostly due to the lighter bezel. There is also a way to have the glass back of your phone replaced with the same choices of wood, although I wouldn't do that as it's permanent and the glass is going to be more durable.
The Fiber-Textured Shell Case: I have it in grey, and it doesn't really pair up well with the golden bezel on the phone. It's also not going to be very durable, neither is it as nice to touch as it's supposed to be. I wouldn't recommend it. Anyway, it seems to be out of stock now.
Finally, the Transparent Shell Case: a very simple, no-nonsense one, and it lets the phone keep its original look. Not really thinner than the cases above though, so don't but it for this reason.
To sum it up, from among the ones I have, if you want the whole phone covered - I'd get the military green, if only the back and the sides - the bamboo one.

But beware: I have bought metallic case that stops 4g so not every case is well conceived regarding radio.

Conclusion:
Overall a very good case. Actually makes the phone look very good. Especially the back where the phone looks slick. The fact that the bottom and top are protected halfway scares me, however i can take care of the phone well so it depends on you.
The case feels quite slippery when you hold it up, so you have to grip it tightly.
Looks good on the sides and all round. Generally a very nice case to have.
I love it.

If you keep dropping your phone you definitely need a cover. I dont think this is available for NS4G though. You'll have to look for a similar one.

Nice photos! I have checked with Nillkin that they have run out of the original smooth cover and replaced by the one with tactile texture.

I think it's cheaper on eBay, but CASESSS.com offers faster shipping options and free to Singapore as well.

Obviously, there are quite a few case styles out there. You have your silicone, your pu leather/real leather, your hard cases, your stands, your folios, your wallets and loads more. It gets a little confusing at times deciding which one is going to be best for your device, so I thought I'd create this little thread to see everyones thoughts and feelings on their favourite styles, and possibly specific cases!
I know stuff like this has been done before, but its a great place for people who haven't really looked at cases before to start. Like I said, it can be confusing!
I'm a bit impartial to some cases, not having tried them all. But, I'd say my preferred cases would have to be folio stands and flip cases, preferably in leather, or really nice pu leather. I'm quite fond of these styles because they give good, overall protection and look quite nice as well. But, obviously with things such as folio stands, they can add quite a bit of bulk, which is a major downside since we're looking at the Galaxy Note II. And, since it's a phone, we want it to be as portable as possible. Given its size, adding bulk onto it must be kept to a minimum, in my opinion.
One case I'd suggest avoiding is actually the official Samsung cover for the Note II, because it offers very little protection at all. Despite looking rather fancy.
I'd suggest something that's thin, yet protective. The flip cases are probably your best bet, especially if you can find one that's able to double as a stand.
I found this tonight, and felt that it was a good copy of Samsung's case for the Note II and really solved the design flaws from the original.

You can find it here.
Another good one that you can see below adds a bit of bulk compared to the one above, but is really stylish in my opinion. It also doubles as a portrait stand, which to me is a huge advantage!
You can find it here.
I also found what LOOKS (not saying it is) to be a genuine Samsung cover for cheap. That, or an exceptionally brilliant knock off. One thing I did just notice, though.. In one of the pictures, they appear to have torn the NFC chip out of it. So, beware if you go for that. The NFC chip is what makes it so pricey, I think.
Item can be found here.
I know there is a thread already regarding cases and stuff. Can I just note that this is NOT a thread for advertising cases, per say. I intended this to be a discussion for your preferences, and a way to help new comers choose what would be ideal for them. If people post cases that they recommend, then brilliant!
So, let me know what you guys feel!
Neither, sorry

You can get some really nice TPU designs on Amazon. I found a lot of beautiful ones last night. Although, they were a bit too feminine for a guy to be carrying around. I'm leaning towards one of the cases I presented, but need to email in to the seller to see if it uses magnetic clips.
Hey everyone, I'm back with another review with lots of pictures again. Some of the pictures were taken with my Galaxy Note 2, and even though they are some fantastic pictures, I took out another camera to take pictures with the case on the phone.
To be honest, this is a case that I thought I wouldn't recommend to anyone because it was a cheapo case and it feels CHEAP! I mean, REALLY cheap! But once it's on the phone, it actually feels really good in hand and then it gives it a textured back that will for sure not let you drop it as easily!
Enough of my blabbing.
This is how it came:

You can find this case in a ton of different colors.
The buttons don't feel like they're going to click, but they're actually really clicky once it's on the case. It isn't as good as the original case that I reviewed last week, but for the price, it's good and you can feel the raised buttons.
Port holes are HUGE! I mean, every place there is an opening, this case makes it a lot bigger than it really needs to be! Check these pictures out.
Compare the hole for the speaker, or the pen silo!
And the camera hole
There is a higher lip on the case, so you can put it face down on the table and the screen won't touch the table.
I actually bought this case a week before I got my Note 2, and it just got here a few days ago. Ironic that I ordered it to have a case right away and it is the 4th case I got in the mail. Lol. I like the case, but it honestly doesn't compare to the Original case that I reviewed. It does have some good points and some bad ones. I like the texture, but it has massive port holes. I don't like how it makes my phone look though, but you can judge that for yourself. I'm going to stick to the original case. But it's not bad at all for the price that it is on eBay!
Would I recommend it? Yeah.
Are there better cases? For sure.
Better cases for the price? Probably not.
Hit thanks if this review has helped you or you just like the pics Or if you'd like me to continue reviewing cases I buy .

I've ordered from here before. Shipping takes forever unless you pay for faster shipping but it's legit and I got about 10 cases for my original note from there. They were only 86 cents! One of the best sites I've come across. The only problem I've run into is the pictures don't exactly represent the exact item. Like I ordered a case and the picture showed it transparent but it was really solid blue.
Firstly, let me congratulate Sony for allowing a lanyard to be attached! My Galaxy note doesn't have a lanyard hole and neither did my last Desire Z, Desire or HD2.
They are sooo useful for getting phones out of pockets by the strap, using the phone one handed or of course preventing the phone slipping out of your hand. And believe it or not, the Xperia Z having one was a major reason in me buying it!
Anyway, does anyone have plans on getting a particular strap?
On amazon, some reviews of cheap ones mentioned them breaking, so I'm thinking of using a wii controller strap which may match my white Z quite well.
I'm very pleased to see it too. It's a great little feature - i have no idea why it disappeared from the market. I'm going to use the one that Sony provided with PSP - maybe something better if you guys find something worth recommending
The Wii strap is a great idea for a wrist lanyard
If I want a neck lanyard for any reason, I'll probably just use the one my work ID badge hangs on.
R: What lanyard strap will you use?
I don't understand why they didn't put one in the box.. It's a very cheap optional.

Lanyard straps are a very Japanese thing to use. I love them and this is another small thing that make the XZ a great phone.

I second the Wii remote strap recommendation. Been using it with my Note 2.
Using these ones:

If links don't work google for litetek-uk store

the lanyard option definitive sold me over. will be perfect for this summer. I do alot of boating, and killed a couple of phones at sea, usually intoxicated .
now I can fall in the sea with the phone in my pocket without killing it. also fitting a flotation device with the lanyard strap makes sure that it dont go to the bottom of the sea...
after the Xperia V i will never go back to a non-waterproof phone..

Have ordered 2 tempered screen protectors off eBay and both don't fit properly at all(people just capitalize on new products to make a quick buck). Can anyone link me to a screen protector that actually covers entire screen and doesn't mess up sound or functionality of phone, thanks
I read somewhere in the forums that this one covers the full area -> HERE
My still has not arrived, but I am optimistic about it.

I owned the one by local seller which linked above. I've never seen such a terrible screen protector ever. The black frames of the protector are wider than device's so it decreases the screen visibility in very tiny amount. It's material is horrible, decreases the screen visibility under the sunlight(Reflections). Although it's perfectly applied, 2 days later a rainbow lake is appeared on the bottom which really sucks. One last thing, there are little dots all around which makes TFT display effect or something, im using it just because i couldn't any other. This also sucks but better than the second protector below in attachment.
The one is linked above:

Hi again. I got the protector. I am attaching some pictures with it, and also some extra shots with the iMatch case for the Mix.
The protector fits perfectly compared to others I have, I am really satisfied. It is a bit strange, because it basically sticks only on the sides(the darker parts on the pics) and not the whole area like the other protectors, but it does not make any difference to me since there are no disatvantages from this for now. Another thing to mention is that it is a fingerprint magnet, which is a minus.
For the case - i am posting it in case anyone is interested in it also.
P.S. @Konsstantine34 have some point in his comments. I thing the main advantage of it is indeed that it is the most "fullscreen" I could find and that it sticks right on this curved screen. My previous one started to unstick on the edges just like Konsstantine's.
