[Q] Splash screen lock up & mounting issues

Hi folks,
I rooted my GT-P7300 and upgraded it to Jellybean (cm-10-20120804-UNOFFICIAL-p5) without problem (besides picasa sync not working), I noticed there was a later version cm-10-20120808-UNOFFICIAL-p5 and that's when it all went wrong
Now my tab locks up at the samsung galaxy tab splash screen.
I can go in recovery mode (running CWM v5.5.0.4) - Odin seems to be OK as this is how I installed CWM recovery
Wiping dada gives me the following
--Wiping Data...
Formatting /data...
Error mounting data!
Skipping format...
Formatting /cache...
Formatting /sd-ext...
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
Error mounting sdcard/.android_secure...
Skipping format...
Data wipe complete
I tried moving back to stock recovery, but it has problems from the get go :
-- updating application...
E:failed to mount /system (invalid argument)
E:install_application_for_customer:Cant mount /system
copy application failed
-- appling Multi-CSC...
E:failed to mount /system (invalid argument)
E:install_application_for_customer:Cant mount /system
E:failed to mount /system (invalid argument)
E:multi_csc:cant mount /system
I'm kindda stuck now. so if anyone has somme smart suggestion...
fixed

You already opened a thread before http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342661 and you have been getting help, but stopped answering. Don't open new duplicate threads please.

It doesn't matter. You had a thread open and were getting help in it. You don't just open a new thread because the first advice didn't help.
And ... you did do it wrong, go back, read, search and follow the basics.

Hi there,
Today morning I notice that my Nexus 6 switched off with no reason, no root or anything else, I tried to turn it on but it stuck on google logo, after that I decided to reset to factory from recovery using Wipe data/ factory reset, I surprised that I received these messages:
Formatting / data ...

Formatting cache ...
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)

E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_install
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_install
E:Failed closing /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc
(I/O Error)
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
What can I do now ? I just put my mobile on charging at night and went to sleep
Thank you in advance.
This appears to be a common issue that has vexed Nexus 7 owners in the past. The problem is related to corruption from an update. The usual fix would be to flash a factory image, but to do that you would have to unlock the bootloader. I doubt you did. Fortunately, there still is a solution that may help: sideloading the Android N Preview 1 OTA zip Google provided some months back. It's a complete system image, and installing it should get your device running. Afterward, you can unlock the bootloader (recommended) and flash the latest factory image from Google. If unlocking the bootloader is something you don't wish to do, subscribing to then unsubscribing from the Android N Preview program should push an Android 6.0.1 factory image to your device.
Back up your pictures and documents on internal storage before doing this or else they will be lost.

Thank you for your reply, i don't care about the data in my phone I will go with Android N.
If you have a link it may help I will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Check the General subforum. There should be an entire thread about the Android N Preview there, including how to install it.
