Data Recovery after hard reset - *unrootable* Verizon S6 Edge - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I have a Verizon Galaxy S6 edge that mistakenly underwent a hard factory reset. I want to achieve root to recover the files on the phone: pics that had not been backed up, wassapp, etc. Now I find that the phone cannot be rooted at the present time because PingPong Root does not root the updated baseband on my phone. Even if I upgraded to 5.1.1, I understand there is currently no root for the Verizon G925V 5.1.1.
I am looking for information on what could work to recover the data from an unrooted Verizon GS6 Edge? :crying:
Model: Sm-G925V
Android 5.0.2
Baseband G925VVru2aof1
Kernel Version 3.10.61

How to Root AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5?

I am not new to rooting but, it has been a little while since I have actually decided to do so.
Currently, I am trying to catch up and see if it is possible for me to root at this time. I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 which I just got from insurance because I completely shattered my old S5. The phone came with the new baseband on the phone but here are all my specs:
Model: 900A
Android: 5.0
Baseband: OF3
Kernal: 3.4
Please, let me now if there is a way to root, downgrade to root, etc. I would like to have a rooted phone asap:good:
If you can confirm your bootloader is not of3 then it may be rootable. If it is not oa1 or below, no root for you.

A UK User of S5(AT&T)/G900A in need of help....

Hello there, I am from the UK, and got myself a s5 (which i didnt realise was the at&t version til i looked into rooting etc) but just need a few questions answered
As I realise, that the phone has a locked bootloader...... and the recovery is safestrap....and my phone is running 5.0 BOF3
Any way I can.......?
Root or downgrade....?
Debrand it of AT&T stuff
Debloat it, as in the UK, the AT&T stuff is useless!
I only want to root it to use adaway and titanium backup, although non root, I can use adguard.
Any answers to my question greatly appreciated!
OC3 was the last AT&T firmware that could be rooted/downgraded. I have an S5 Active with OJ3 and can't even update to Marshmallow because I'm on Cricket and not AT&T (even though Cricket is owned by AT&T and operates on their network).

[Help] Updating to Marshmallow from 5.1.1 (g900aucu4coi5) stock rom & no root

I just purchased a Galaxy S5 unlocked, but its an at&t model (g900a, shows at&t logo on boot, has at&t bloatware). I live in New Zealand so I can not use an at&t sim and update to the latest firmware (ph4?). Im stuck on g900aucu4coi5 and I want to update, and I have found a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/galaxy-s5-android-version-6-0-1-t3419016
Can I just flash ph4 with odin 3.11.1 and I will be fine? No chance of brick or tripping knox (assuming i follow instructions correctly)? Also is there a way I can debrand my s5 and give it a stock s5 rom w/out the at&t crap without tripping knox?
This may seem like a noob question but I have followed instructions to the letter while flashing roms on a galaxy trend plus and a galaxy y duos, and encountered problems down the road which led to bootloops. I assume this was because the tools made for them were still in beta for these devices were not popular, but I still want to be safe and keep my new s5 alive.
Thx

You should be able to go up to PH4 using ODIN no problem.
And about the bloatware... As soon as we find a way to root or preroot Marshmallow we'll probably get some debloated ROMs up, but first we have to find a way to preroot (I'm working on it but it's taking the back burner for a bit while I work on other ROMs so anyone is welcome to give it a try)

Yes, and no. It updated, started overheating and the battery caught fire. Rip.
I'm in the same boat as I have an ATT S5 with Lollipop and tried the above method w/Odin and it is now a brick, stuck on the ATT logo.
Are there any working accessible sources fore the ATT stock Firmware for Lollipop in order to rollback this MM update? I've been looking and have found none.

Is G925VVRS4DQD1 (Nougat) Root-able yet?

I got a Samsung S6 Edge (Verizon SM-G925V) today and heard I should upgrade to 7.0 (Nougat) firmware and hope it gets rooted soon. Is the baseband version I have root-able? It's G925VVRS4DQD1
To my understanding, the tool on autoroot.chainfire.eu WOULD work, but because the bootloader is locked down, it will brick the device instead? Is that true? Is there any hope that 7.0 will be rooted soon for my device? Any input on this would be helpful, thanks.

I tried it it said something about recovery not sure what but in Odin on the phone screen it said recovery fail
So do i. However, it won't brick your phone. One time i tried to upgrade to 7.0 or downgrade to 6.0, first boot i saw a pic of a lock is unlocked when i first boot. Next time i boot, it disapppears. Any idea?
I think this phone is unrootable for now since Verizon is like "you can't make it because i don't wanna my phone naked, haha"
Same problem here. recovery fail. How can I root my G925V Nougat?

Downgrading Samsung Galaxy s5 ( 5.1.1 ) ( SM-G900A )?

So I did some research if there was any way to root Samsung Galaxy s5 (5.1.1) (SM-G900A). People were saying you can't downgrade because of a locked bootloader or something. But I found one firmware that was meant for tests that brings you back to 4.4+(Can't remember exactly, but it was 4.4). Is there a way to go to this tested firmware and go back to a firmware that could be rooted?
