On my S4 mini I get the firmware for the Three network, since the phone came from Three and so I use the Three firmware. I have ordered an S5 mini and I want to know which firmware I need to download, since presumably it should not be network branded and be a purely virgin S5 mini from samsung. I am checking on here: http://www.sammobile.com The particular one I ordered is SM-G800F.
Can anyone help me with what firmware I would need to download for when/if I need to odin it back to factory firmware?
Thanks
You can use the unbranded firmware from Samsung with evry brand's! But ,if you want the three one (in my opinion stay with unbranded and set the correct apn) just download if from sammobile and flash with Odin. .I'm Italian too, sorry for bad english

Yes, but I am not sure which one. There are specific 3 letter acronyms for different things like H3G or . I do not know which firmware I would download.

Are you saying I would need to get the EE network's firmware? I am confused. What is EVR?
Can someone help me with explaining this? I am hoping my S5 mini will arrive tomorrow or next day. I would like to make a new S5 mini folder and get everything ready.

hi, i'm completely new to the android experience, so I know next to nothing about rooting. I read the post on how to root my samsung galaxy sII and decided to root it. I did the odin with
XWKDD_insecure.tar, and it was fine. Following that, I went on to use superoneclick. However, everytime i tried to root using superoneclick , the program becomes not responding on my
computer, so I gave up. After that, I turned on my phone and the wifi and 4g no longer works. So i follow an post trying to restore the factory firmware, the only catch is, my phone is
an US Sprint phone, and the firmware available in the post was the UK version. I used odin to run the UK version of samsung simfree firmware, but it failed. Following that, I went to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881 to download the android 2.3.3 for north america. I ran it using odin and it failed as well. so now my phone will turn
on but its stuck on the page that says samsung galaxy s2 with a warning sign on it. I can't turn it off with the power button. I have to manually remove the batter. Someone please help
me, I just got this phone last week.
Now its stuck on this :

hi guys
iam on stock no root 2.3.6 baseband lc1 kernel lc1 buildnumber lc1
N7000 not purchased in india..pcode shows "KOR" in the end
can i install this
N7000DDLP8-------4.0.3-----------2012 May-----------N7000ODDLP5-------------India----- -------------------------------Download Install N Root
and wat does this mean - check for CSC (*#272*IMEI#) if not INU, set it.(this is for indian user, if your ROM is different, it shud be accordingly)
du i have to du anything here??
is it ok to go ahead...coz iam unable to update via kies and ota?
Its perfectly fine for you to install this via PC Odin.
Do it. However ur gonna realise its not such a major improvement to GB. Rather go with CM9 ics rom
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
here it is,
1) Open your dial screen and type *#06# this will reveal your IMEI number. Note it down somewhere
2) Now in your dial screen type *#272*IMEI# (where IMEI will be the no. you got in 1st step)
Since your CSC code is set to KOR, scroll down and select INU and click on install. After installation, restart your phone, recheck step2 to confirm if CSC is set to INU, and proceed ahead with PC ODIN.

Hello, I just got a Galaxy S i9000t, I needed to flash it with a rom from XDA(The current miui if that matters), and so I looked for a way to put a cwm on it, the way I found was using CF-Root, but when I got there I found so many versions and numbers that I didn't understand.
I noticed that in my device I had software version JVB(This is PDA I guess), and in baseband I had JV7, so I downloaded this and flashed it in Odin:
CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS.zip
The device boots okay, but when I reach the homescreen, it reboots quickly to the logo of the communication network(Hot reboot I think this was called?), and then back into home screen, which then triggers the reboot again, so I guess I did something wrong.
Can someone direct me to the right version for me? I found nothing about JV7 in the CF-Root thread, and if I need another version, can I just flash it in odin after I flashed the wrong one?
Thank you.

i9000T is same as i9000, but meant for specific regions, so your base-band is important for communicating with your home network. , you should note it down and use that when changing ROM's
if you only want Root, you can use Framaroot , if you want CWM you can use semaphore kernel. make sure your version is (froyo/ gingerbread) correct

Hi,
I'm going to get a Note 5 SM-N920C.
I'm planning to use it in Germany, because the C variant covers all LTE-frequencies for T-Mobile Germany.
But I'm wondering, which of the many country variants of the firmwares available for the N920C is the best to use in terms of:
- integration of german language
- no preinstalled bloatware/carrier or country specific apps
- and last but not least: which is the most current one that matches my two criterias above.
Thanks
Are you going to root?
Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
No, I want to use it stock
I purchased one for myself at Doha airport, and been using it with the shipped firmware (OJ5) without any problems in Norway for like 3 weeks now. No carrier junks or anything...This is the first device in long long time, I am actually considering to use without root (i normally root the first day)!
Which country variant is your firmware?
UAE
and what csc version is it? xsg?
I have the UAE variant too and I'm in the United States. I tried a lot of firmwares from the sammobile and what happens is that the rom number will change but the baseband stays the same. However, if you go to the service menu(*#*#2263#*#*), you can choose the bands that are available on the phone.

Thank you for your advice, so your xsg Firmware is without Carrier- and/Or bloatware?
Yup! This was not bound to any carrier, and i was surprised how much bloatware samsung has reduced compared to Note 4.
Ok, thank you. So I'm going to Flash the XSG version if it's not already preinstalled. Note 5 should arrive by the end of the week.
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy FE unlocked, in Mexico, from a legitimate seller (Amazon). Of course, I was aware of the 4G only and Exynos processor situation, but still, it was fine for my regular needs.
The S20 FE was wrapped in the original sealed packing, so it looked well. However, when I opened it, the charger was not American type but European. That was weird... I initialized the phone and was fine. I started to install all my stuff, but when I tried to configure Samsung Pay, it said that the service was not supported on my phone (see picture 1).

It was wrong because, in Mexico, we have Samsung Pay. So I did some research, and I found that my phone was from Chile looking at the service provider software version (see picture 2).
The CHO code is for Chile.
Since asking for a phone change will take a long and, besides that, the phone works fine, I prefer to change the service provider software version to a Mexican one. Is it possible to do that? If so, does it make my phone "Mexican", so I can use SamsungPay? Please let me know.
¡¡Gracias!!
did you find any solutions?
It is totally possible to just download the correct firmware and flashing it with Odin, should hopefully fix problems like this. The OP was right, the phone was grabbing Chilean CSC and applying its regional configurations.
@abaceromx21 boot into download mode and take a look at the Knox counter.
