I almost completed my post...and then i pressed my backspace key...so i can start over again
Hello,
I was wondering if there are people who are interested in watching live tv on there windows mobile phone from your pc at home...(?)
Last week i was searching for tools/progs like snapstream(stream live tv/record/schedule etc...) but it wasn't working good enough for me...
I just wanted a simple program to scan for tv channels...name them...and watch them on my kaiser...
So after a few hours programming... it worked
A moment ago i was driving my car and watching tv(350kb(its)s) on my kaiser over hsdpa / umts using my tv card in my pc at home...
The only thing i need to do is make a simple GUI that you can access on your kaiser using pocket ie/opera etc... In this webpage there will be very big buttons (for ex. CNN) so when you press this verry big button (you can't miss ) it will start CNN in TCMPM or windows media player...
(These buttons will be created dynamicly using a xml with your tv channels/freq/descriptions) so you can customize it or auto scan for channels...
Also you will be able to customize output quality...
Are there people who are interested in this? If so i'll will post some beta versions here
Let me know!
God bless!

Ok well...
I made an installer you can download it at: ShareTV
It is an early version of it, but for me it works great!
Before you install ShareTV.msi
- install Microsoft .NET framework v3.5
- install windows media encoder v9
ShareTV will automaticly startup a little http/wwwebserver on port 80... but if you need to change this port number (firewall/dmz or what else) it's possible! Just take a look at ShareTV.exe.config!
In wwwroot folder you will find index.htm and template.htm. template.htm is needed to export your channels...
So first Autoscan channels in ShareTV after this you can (if you like) customize this index.htm the way you want!
Enoy! And if you have quetions or suggestion don't hesitate and please let me know!
Her are some screenshots...

WiFi as well as Hspda?
stream media from pc to phone
i use a nice piece of freeware called orb.. streams all your media from your pc across your network or across internet.. web interface is pretty cool can be set for different devices and depending on the pc you can stream to multi devices at once (xbox, ps3, wii, pc, phone etc). and if you have a tv card it will stream that as well as any webcams etc u have attached. also allows download access to shared folders so you can have all your data on the go...
anyway... it's free so maybe it'll work for ya.

Thnx for your tip! But i didn't really like orb... its a nice app but not for me
I'd be very interested in such a thing as i've been trying to find a way to stream ESPN and several other channels with no luck. Where would the streaming source come from however?

The source come's from your pc at 'home'...
The only thing is that this pc must have a tv capture card
Orb works OK if you have the TV tunercard and dont wanna spend any money, but if your willing to spend a little cash go for a cheap slingbox off ebay and you will have your entire cable line-up at your disposal.
I've found a app called Mytinytv where you can stream tv but the only problem is (for me) he find only one channel so if you can make something that works with my hercules smarttv i would love it
Very interested. That would be sweet. Trying out orb now it is ok. I would love to try your app out.
Thanks!
if this is somehow possible with dvb-s cards, i'm very interested

Hi!
Wel'll first i have to buy a dvb-s card... because i don't have one..
But when i have it will also support dvb-s cards yes
ah, okay.
i thought most of nowadays tv-cards run by bda-drivers and so they're all compatible to every program that supports bda.
hm
but
hm
no, i won't donate you a dvbs card! i can wait!
very nice app but my video card is not supported can you fix this. It would be nice
It does seem that Orb has already crossed this birdge... I like the interface and functionality of it. It is worth a look!
im looking for a good tv application for our phones..
anyone got any good suggestions?
TVU-Player for Mobile is okay, if you have HSDPA, otherwise it won't even load. Kinoma Freeplay isn't really tv, but nonetheless it is still entertaining. MobiTV is popular, but never really used it past its free 3 day trial. Hope that helps,
Dave
yeah.. i tried mobi tv... its good any all but too expensive.. there was a unlimited mobitv floating around here somewhere.. but didnt work.. or maybe i just didnt know how to use it..
but other than that.. ill give TVU-Player a shot.. thanks!
I use SPBOnline... Also I had DiamondTV.. The SPB is a better TV program.
DiamondTV is ok, there are lots of XXX in there, hehe...
slingbox mobile is the best way to go expect you need to already have slingbox, in total it would run u like 130 for mobile and slingbox, there are no monthly fees and it streams from ur tv source over the internet i really like using it, if you have parents you could just hook it up at their house and not have to pay for cable cause you can just watch it on ur phone or laptop/computer
Or you could use a website instead of a program. Something like
http://www.todaypda.com/stream/

This is excellent... Thanks for sharing the info. Although not all links do work, but the ones that do stream are perfect. I wish There is an NBA channel that streams live for free though.
Excellent site, Themuzz, thanks!
I'm having much better luck opening the links with Coreplayer than WMP, but I'm not surprised. Hmm... PIE does better at saving my settings than Opera, though I'm not using the latest version(s) floating around here. I'll try them when I have more time.
wow thanks for the share themuzz!!..
i actually tried diamond... over half of the channels dont work.
i would love to try the slingbox... but dont even own a real one so i guess that ones out..
handitv is okay..
im gonna try spbonline next...
thanks for the replys tho guys!
Thank You!

I've always wondered if there was a way to get FREE TV on my Tilt. This is the answer. With all those available channels listed for the US and the search feature, I'm sure I'll find something I'll like to watch. THANK YOU!
you're welcome, I actually set up the website myself. The only problem with the streams is that I can't check mms streams to see if they are working... if the stream streams through http I can check it, but I haven't found something where I can check that much mms streams...
If you have other feedback, it's welcome to.

TCPMP 0.72 RC1 Recomp 03 w/ the WMV and FLV plugins will enable you to stream pretty much any media you could want to on your phone.

Hey man, this page is interesting.
thanks!
bumping the message to the top.
Orb.com
You may wish to try orb.com. You need a computer at home with a TV Card, but you can truly get streaming TV with this combination. Throw in a copy of Kinoma Play and you now have a direct connection to your orb server without using a web browser on your phone(not sure if you can change channels with Kinoma Play, as I currently do not have orb controlling my TV card, using GBPVR for my PVR functions, with the files created shared through orb.)

nice site. but i have not found a stream that works yet.
Perhaps I should leave this topic alone, but I found a nice site like http://www.todaypda.com/, namely a mobile website with also streams (which all work), translating, adult content, etc.

What do you think about it?
Has anyone seen an app for Android like this one for iphone?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-l6tMWlzYY
I am waiting on a Sprint Hero phone and building a Media Center. I think I will be building a Myth box and this app or one like it would be great for the phone.
Not sure what mythTV is.. but i think it was a way to stream video and music to you iPhone via internet from your home computer (?)
If this is it, "Winamp remote" works just fine to stream musik (havnt tested with viedo yet, will report back when i do)
It's really awesome
Edit: Video streaming did not work.. which is pretty weird, since winamp remote do have a flashplayer so you can stream movies to the nintendo wii(HTC Hero has newer flashplayer than wii, so it should be possible to stream to the hero(?))
I Might aswell email them about it

MythTV is a free Linux open source Media Center with a PVR and other addons. I thought it would be cool to be able to stream my recorded shows whenever I wanted to.
here are a couple of links that could show you more.

Thanks for you reply

There is already an app called mythdroid.
http://code.google.com/p/mythdroid/
I've tried it and could use my hero as a remote for my frontend, browse backend status; There is a patch to apply ton backend to have a better tv programs list. I don't think you can watch recordings or video on phone by now.
I know that the mythweb addon can do streaming to a browser on another computer. If an app on the Android phone could play the file that is streamed, it might work that way? I can't try it until I get my new phone.
Has anybody gotten mythdroid working? I can use it as a remote but playback on the device does not work.
Or does anyone know of a good upnp client that might do the trick?
Thanks
Mythtv and android
Myself is running an mythtv setup, and my way to go would be adding an rss feed to mythtv
web interface, there is a few examples out there..
Code:
www .mythtv.org/wiki/Android_RSS_Video_Feed
ps. sorry for the broken link, im not allowed to post links before 8 posts..

Can it be done? I know that chromium was ported, and chromium odds was being worked on. Can you kitbash one of these into one of those?

We are working on a similar product:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2359972
to make Pi to support iOS devices and Android devices using AirPlay Mirroring and Miracast.
This is not a port though, I think it should be better as chromecast won't support AirPlay mirroring.
A direct port should be possible too if chromecast source code is available, I would guess it has miracast emulation.
seems it's well possible to emulate Chromecast.
I spent a few days to emulate Chromecast inside rPlay, finally it can find the rPlay (on Raspberry Pi) as a chromecast device, and it can send youtube URL redirection. still long way to go, but seems possible.
Attached is a screenshot of Youtube on Nexus 7, the Chromecast button is shown, when clicked, it will show rPlay as the device.

Guess that's the best lead we could find thus far, as well as some assurance that this (https://github.com/dz0ny/leapcast) can also redirect Youtube links.
I think it will only be a matter of time until this is fully working like the chromecast
yes, the initial implementation is available in our rPlay software, beta version is available.
We will add more and more chromecasting features to it, in addition to airplay mirroring,

Also if possible please add option to stream/play local media files which official chromecast lacks.:good:
Is the Chromecast protocol open? If not, has anyone asked Google why not?
Very Cool. Hows the progress
This is very cool. How is it going? Does the Pi have sufficient performance?

Yatse and bubble UPNP already do this with XBMC on the Pi.
I can easily send YouTube videos to the pi using the share feature in Android and Yatse remote app. Similarly with local content.

I'd say the main thing holding my Pi back is silverlight drm. Otherwise I'd be perfectly happy with my xmbcrpi.
Hi everyone, I saw this option " Twitch " on the oculus cinema and I had the idea that I could stream my xbox one, And it actually works, I can play on a big ass screen on the moon, the problem is that I press a button, And since it's streaming it takes like 16 seconds to move on the gear vr, Any ideas of how I can make this faster or something like that ? Any app that i dont know of ? D:
Unfortunately there is no fix for this unless they release some kind of console compatibility. The 16-ish second input lag is simply how streaming is over the internet.

Uh y.y seemed too perfect to be perfect ):
Has anyone thought about Mirroring it ?
I was thinking that if you could stream windows 10 to your phone you could stream XB1 to the Windows 10 PC and then that to the VR. Ideas?
