Problem for upgrade - Android Auto General

Hello,
I brought this unit :
http://fr.aliexpress.com/item/Pure-...le-178mm-100mm-2-din-with/2042911461.html?s=p
I tried to follow the instructions in the old main topic but I don't get the pop up windows and reboot don't change anything.
So I tried to get inside recovery with manual start, didn't work.
So I reboot into recovery with an app (Quick boot), work well.
But in the recovery, the tactile key don't work to move into recovery ... so I can't upgrade ...
My head unit is dead or i missed to do something ?

Finaly with keyboard, i successfully flashed the MCU !
But I still have a problem with my 3G dongle
When I connect my 3G dongle (a huawei e1752 unlocked) to the autoradio, i have the signal in the status bar but nothing more, no ask for PIN code no internet
A powered USB don't change anything
What do I miss ?
Thanks

This is the wrong forum for such a Headunit.

[Q]Korean GalaxyS I9000 won't boot after ClockWorkMod Recovery wrong model flash

Hi all!
I've been doing some research in how to flash my phone (which is a Korean GalaxyS I9000 Mini) and I wasn't quite sure if it's fully compatible with the ROMs for the original Samsung Galaxy. At least it was running Samsung's Eclair image (with some minor bugs).
I bought it in Everbuying, you can find it with this name: Galaxys I9000
*This phone doesn't have the 3 keys combo enabled, so I can't boot in Recovery or Download mode.
Before I start to flash the phone I wanted to perform a backup and then fix the button combo bug, so I downloaded Rom Manager to use the ClockWorkMod Recovery, but when I first tried selecting Galaxy S I9000 for the boot flash nothing happened and I was still getting the default Stock Recovery 2e.
Because I'm kind a stu**d, I thought... "Maybe I can try with another Samsung S model" and then I tried to flash ClockWorkMod selecting the Samsung Captivative model.
Now, when I turn on the phone it gets stuck in the Galaxy S boot up screen and there is nothing else I can do.
I think tomorrow I will try to make a JIG cable, but I'm not sure if it's going to work, I never was able to access Download mode, neither with ADB commands.
Someone have any suggestion?
Is there anyway to revert the bootloader to the old state?
Thanks!!
PS: Here is a screenshot with the Model information
Hi.
Unfortunately I have no idea to help you. However, I would like to know if the "magnetic field sensor" and GPS of your cellphone work.
I also have a I9000 mini with Android 2.2, but couldn't use GPS, magnetic field sensor and backup the actual ROM (I tried with ROM Manager).

Hi!
The GPS doesn't works fine, but I think is related to this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842694
I didn't test the magnetic field sensor, but I think only the gravity sensor works.
Today I've made a JIG cable and it's not working )=
I think I messed up this time, download mode doesn't seem to be present in this phone...

The phone was rooted.
Fixing the 3 button combo was going to be my next step... but I wasn't able to install CWM completely and when I picked up a different model in the ROM Manager app the phone stopped working.
I will try to repair the phone in my country (Argentina), if I can't... I will have to send the phone back to China and it's going to be like 3 months!
Searching for i9000 mini on the Internet I found a chinese forum that has some information about our cellphone. There are some topics with information about how to upgrade the i9000 mini. Maybe you can find some help there too. Some links are:

The cable necessary to flash the cellphone is a regular USB to 3.5mm type? Because a user here in XDA said that a cable to flash MTK cellphones could be bought at etowalk.com (search for "mtk"). I found it (I guess), but it cost $50. At dealextreme.com there is a regular USB to 3.5mm cable (sku.2552) for about $1.5. Are they the same?

[Q] i9000 boots to black screen NO DOWNLOD MODE OR RECOVERY

Ok so I purchased an i9000M that was advertised as broken (got it for cheap) to see if I could get it going for my step daughter. I turn it on.... I get the samsung boot screen and goes black when it should be booting OS.
Windows still recognizes it somewhat. If I look in device manager under "portable devices" It shows a "j" and "k" drive that are identified as i9000 and i9000 sd or something like that. Although Windows sees it.... It wont mount these drives unfortunately.
Things I've tried ( Before someone suggests I use a JIG............. It doesn't and will not work on this phone)
USB JIG (tested and working on my Hercules)
SD Card Partition (EXT4 and FAT32) because I suspect borked internal storage
SD Card Partition (ReiserFS and FAT32) Still nothing......... then I realized the phone probably wasnt rooted
3 button combos ( every single combination) nada
plugging in USB cable while holding volume up and down...
ADB Reboot recovery/download ( not recognized because I cant turn on debugging)
ETC ETC ETC........
I have been searching google for hours for some kind of clue as to what can be done other than JTAG repair and All I come up with (no matter what site im on) is " Use a USB JIG" duhhhh Its getting rather annoying.
Im no stranger to flashing ( no expert) but this one has me stumped. I was considering buying a RIFFbox anyways but I thought maybe some experienced users out there might be able to suggest something.
My hope is that something can be done with the J and K drive that was mentioned. Perhaps I can format and somehow push a rom straight to the internal storage without any assistance from the phone itself...... I know..... wishful thinking. or perhaps boot straight from external SD???? That would be interesting!
More to this.... I realize this question has probably been asked a million times because it seems to be a common issue on this phone but I suppose my long winded question really boils down to my last paragraph which I havent seen suggested yet.
EDIT: I have a Windows 7 AND kubuntu 12.04 dual boot if any suggestions require linux
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks. i will have a look and experiment tomorrow.
I'll report back my progress
if it pops up when you plug it into the computer, check if it does in odin. if does in there too try to flash a stock rom. or better yet take this download and follow the read me intructions, except the dl mode part cause you said it doesnt work. try both with the phone on and off. no it isnt the bell version of the pom but it will work. you will problably want to root it then install galaxy s unlock tool from the market and use that to unlock the phone aswell.(cause it not the bell rom)

As I mentioned.... no download mode, therefore.... No ODIN. Unless someone has some magical way to make it work otherwise. The computer knows its an I9000 at least. Kies says its in the wrong mode and I have no UI so debugging is out of the question.
Also: Xsenmen. I was unable to get any of the tools to connect. In one section you mention that AndroPlatina attempts to connect while booting? I was unable to get this to happen. I even tried the "heat trick" to no avail

[Q] help!! ***stuck in recovery entry screen***

HI Guys,
Im facing a problem with mobile(HTC one) which unknowingly came into hands of one of my friend. Seeing the problem he gave it to me and I am shocked to see the problem.
The problem is phone doesn't boots and it goes straight into recovery mode when power button is pressed. The big problem is its not giving me recovery options but it shows some sort of loading bar with an unpacking logo and that's it nothing happens anymore. If I switch it on with powerON+ volume down button, it goes to factory mode and there it has no options regarding cache wipe or recovery.. I can see only some inbuilt tests such as wifi, bluetooth, headset, camera etc...
So, What I can understand is someone tried to install custom ROM without doing s-off or enabling USB debugging. In tht stuck recovery screen, ADB in my PC is unable to detect the device (or) my HTC drivers are not good but I tried ADB reboot using various HTC drivers from sync to BMP but of no use. Please see the attached ZIP file which contains all the pics of the phone with screens
Coming to phone specs, it looks and feels like Original HTC ONE dual sim phone which was launched in Asian sub continent by HTC. It has 1600 mAh battery which is something weird as minimum battery is 2300mAh in present HTC One phones.
So, what can be done on this phone to make it useful? Can I flash a kernel and install custom ROM? If possible, what are the steps?? Pls, help me here...

Bricked after supersu binary update reboot!!!

Hey guys.
im really in a bind here. as the title says my phone has died a most horrible (semi)death. it refuses to turn on all it does is flash one red and two green leds every time i hold any vol + power button combos. i took the phone to the official repair representative in my country (south africa ) and they wanted to replace the circuit board and strangely the lcd screen. i refused this as the phone was working perfectly fine prior to the reboot ( they seem like sharks to me quoted me R5000 or $350 to "repair"). if anyone can assist me in this matter i would really appreciate it.:crying:

I've never heard of this issue before, but generally what you need is access to bootloader. If you don't have that, I doubt that there ever will be a software solution in sight.
Yeah its a strange problem when i connect the phone to my pc it shows up but im struggling to to find the driver it just shows in device manager as an unknown device. Adb fastboot does not pick it up either
yes there's a problem in su binary of version 2.76, all root apps won't work properly
i have formated my phone and rooted it again with older version and blocked auto update in playstore
Thanks for replying guys. How did you format your phone? When i connect the phone to my pc it just shows up as a unknown device that is named in Chinese characters. Cant locate any drivers. No access to any recovery. The phone was working perfectly fine before i got the reboot request.

A Very Odd Phone I Just Recieved - what do i try now?

So ive just recieved an s3 8190 mini not an n or l model labled as sapres repairs, i have some experiecne flashing phones including a s3 mini-n so thought i'd grab this one to fix it and sell on...boy was i wrong
many hours later of various flash attmepts and reading troublshooting methods on the problems this phone does little else but restart a lot!
it wont accept anything ive flashed, i cant boot into recovery or root it sucessfully, however it will boot into download mode (a ray of hope perhaps?) after flashing various recoveries and trying to boot into it the bottom leds flash and it restarts again and it just wants to boot up normally no matter what, ive tried the 3 buttons then releasing only the power after i see the logo as ireads that worked for a few
the phone requires a pin to be entered at start which was in the box on a piece of paper, once in the time i get varies before it resets again and any settings i changed are restored things like wifi mode etc are all back...wtf is this? also apps cant be uninstalled!! and more importanly i cant factory reset, i press the first few buttons and then the final one does nothing....there is a missed call dated last year some time that shows up in the notifications area...
im currently flashing official firmware via link on this site that matches the baseband so hoping that might do something, but that seems like bind mans hope in hell, ive tried a few things from this site like a flash that makes the 3 buttons "work" which it did for some, thought not done anyhting with adb/fastboot being new to it, the phone wasnt recognised the few times i tried it.
where now then just what is wrong wiht this phone and can i get it up & running?
