Are we sure that the nexus 6 suffers from screen burn in? It seems to me that it's more of an image retention issue, as I can get the nav bar to ghost on the top of the screen.
Screen burn in is a general issue with any AMOLED screen when used for a longer time. Nothing in particular to do with Nexus 6.

Working ok so far from tab, wonder why not the phone, since it's not streaming from my phone I can't see how it would cause a reboot

Strike that, reboot shortly after last post, since Google music working fine, Netflix isn't on two different devices now, worked fine a few days back. Any one else having Netflix issues?

I've never seen this anywhere, but apparently holding volume up and power at the same time initiates a screen recording mode. Why haven't I seen this mentioned.
It's been posted up before and even in a bunch of online articles. You need the SCR screen recording app in order for it to work though from what I've seen.
Oh. Just never saw it anywhere and have owned about 25 android devices in 4 years. Strange.

New in 4.4...

the only thing i can find is to do it through adb. can anyone recommend an app from the play store?
Actually, it's volume down and power button at same time to take a screenshot. That's how it works on my N5.

No app needed. Like I just replied, volume down and power button at the same time.

This isn't screenshot. This is screen recording. Not sure if its psx rom only thing or if its across all of kit kat ROMs.

It's a new feature that Google snuck into 4.4. It's been fairly well publicized at this point.

This isn't working for me, but if I hold those 2 buttons for a while, my phone turns off.
I wonder if that's the key combo to use if my phone freezes

Not sure if its built into psx ROM only, haven't tried on other ROMs. Happened on accident.
Pretty sure its just a psx feature - on my N4 on Rastakat it did nothing, but now that I've flashes PSX on the 4 it works fine. That certainly snuck under the radar from the PSX devs

On most (all?) devices without a removable battery, holding power forces the device to reboot, seeing as you can't simply do a battery pull

Ahhh, thanks. My previous phone had a removable battery and my tablet has a reset button. I was planning to ask about this in the Q&A forum.

So Google place a feature in 4.4 that requires root to work? That's a load of old toss innit.

Hi,
Good or not...:
The radio is great on the nexus 5...
The radio SUCKS!...
It's YOUR threads, plus this one...
It makes sense to put the antenna at the bottom. With all the talk of Brain Cancer caused by cellphones. When used as a phone, It puts the antenna the further away from your head. And if I remember my physics, radiation level drop fast with distance.
If you read the Safety Instruction with the phone It states that they have to conform to certain regulation about antenna power
Just tried it with my N5, and it does not happen for me.

So I purchased a use N6 and there was some work done it. The previous owner didn't apply any new adhesive to the battery cover so it was coming up on the sides where it lost some of the stickiness. I removed all the old foamy adhesive (took forever) and I have tried putting on Scotch double sided tape, but that was too thin, so it also came up on the sides. Now I have tried another foamy type double sided tape but it's too thick...
I really don't wanna purchase a whole new back for 12-20 bucks.. just hoping to find a cheap alternative that works as well as the stock adhesive. Any suggestions?

I use my Note 9 for ScummVM and Point and Click Adventure Games.
I used to have a Note 2 and it would only register a Click when the S Pen touched the Screen (with an optional right click on the S Pen Button) and i loved that.
The Note 9 registers clicks from the S Pen long before it ever touches the screen and thats really annoying for those games.
Can that somehow be changed?
You can turn off that. I think it was called hover something. Let me check

Wait a min.. it's registering a click without you touching the screen.... hmmm
First try turning off Air view in SPen settings
If not then try turning sensitivity down...
Or check to see how the button click is set to do.
Basically check the settings ...

I turned off just about everything i could get my hands on in the s-pen settings.
It still registers about 2 or 3cm before i touch the screen.
EDIT: I checked. Air view is off. Like i said, everything is off.
Okay then I am leaning towards the pen itself... First try changing tips. You should have some extra. If not then just take the tip out & reseat it. Make sure you don't push it back in too much.
If this doesn't work then look into getting another Spen.

Long story short the pen maybe stuck. Maybe from pushing too hard on it as you use it. Or as you replaced the tip.
