Shows that new version is available
Shows that downloading update pack.
Shows that 100% update pack transmitted in phone successfully
Shows that updating is in progress.
And finally Failed.
i tried again & again but failed. please post solution. but not third party like use customize rom or recovery.
You can flash the official ST ROMs with the stock recovery. Download an official ROM, place it in the root of your SD Card (the file must be named update.zip if I remember correctly) and then boot into recovery and flash the update.
Download links for the official ROMs can be found on hackerpower's Index Thread.
NAR
Or you could try this...
Check which version you have (ex: VIBEUI_V2.8_15xx_x.xxx.x_ST_K50-T5_xxxx) from Settings/About).
Once done, check which update you need from the link below, download it and flash using the SPF tool.

Hello all! Hopefully, I put this thread in correct section. If not, please move it.
Anyway, here is my question.
I installed ROM Manager because I want to try some other ROMs on my SGS i9000 and when I want to flash the CWM Recovery, the only option I get is Google Nexus S. Is this normal? Should it show my model? Can there be any problems if I choose Google Nexus S option?

Thank you!
What ROM are you currently on ? if its a custom ROM you may have the Nexus Drivers, and that could be why it is only showing you that option.
there are many other ways of flashing a custom ROM so dont give up if ROM Manager starts acting up.
i personally prefer a flash with ODIN and all update Flashes through CWM
I recently upgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.3.3. Here you can see more info:
As far as i know, this is not a custom ROM, just leaked one. Or am I wrong? I upgraded it with ODIN too and it wasn't hard, I just think it would be even easier, if i didn't have to use the computer and could download ROMs directly on the phone.
Whenever i try to install new rom this screen comesrather than comin normal screen. how to fix it??
(this is KOREAN VERSION of galaxy S)

Hehe thats very easy to fix.
1. download ODIN and install it on ur pc.
2. go here http://www.theandroidsoul.com/fuguroot-galaxy-s-how-to If u r rooted then skip this link!!!
3. go here and install the GingerReal rom then it will work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1025348
Edit : U might need a korean kernal but try first the one used in the link 3.
That's because you're running Recovery 3e, which only flashes verified and signed update.zip packages. This is not the case for most of the content coming from XDA. Thus, you must either acquire Recovery 2e, or better yet, CWM Recovery. Search here for help regarding the same..
Hi,
Some time ago I flashed my K50-t5 with the K50a40 ROM, mostly to have access to Google Play without root and to receive regular, official firmware updates. After the flash the device automatically updated several times, but for a while now no new updates are available. My current firmware version is K50a40_S327_160517_ROW, but I've seen newer versions popping up on needrom.com, etc.
Why doesn't my device download these updates automatically? How do I upgrade my firmware without root?

What do you mean by local update method?
Also do you remember which build number the phone was on before you tried the update to nougat? The build number is something like EVA-L09CxxxBxxx (E.g mine is EVA-L093C432B386)
Are you refering to this image below:

I think you can not go back from this updater section because this updater section is not designed for this you can try to 1st format it in TWRP Recovery and then flash its 2.0 version ROM I hope it works
