Hi guys, I have a note 5 from china (N9200) and I am having problems installing Gapps. Currently I have TWRP installed and also spaceX kernel, which roots the phone in the process. When I go install Gapps in TWRP it either gives me a msg saying I don't have enough system space or that I don't have build.prop. This is a brand new phone with nothing in it so space shouldn't be an issue. I also tried the mini gapps with the same results. I am using Gapps from open gapps and the ARM64 version. Could this be due to the fact that its blocked by China?
This exact msg is:
Insufficient storage space available in System Partition. You may want to use a smaller Open Gapps package or consider removing some apps using gapps-config.
Error Code 70

I am trying to install CM11 EMMC to my nook HD+ with stock rom on it. The instruction I followed is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572
1.Download the initial sdcard image
2.ungzip and write to sdcard using dd (winimage or whatever for those stuck on Windows)
3.Instert the card into your nook and reboot
4.Flash the recovery image
5.Flash cm11 image
6.Flash whatever other extra things you need like gapps
7.remove the sdcard
8.reboot the nook
I did wipe data and cache after step 3. I finished steps 4 and 5. However, flashing gapps in step 6 failed with information of error in gapps zip file [status 6]. The gapps is downloaded from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
I use the mini modular package. I am quite sure the gapps zip file is good since i have finished SD install with the gapps zip file. However, it failed in EMMC install. Now the nook can boot to CM11, but without any google stuff.
Any suggestion?
I'd suggest that you try a different, smaller size package (you can always add those apps not included later from the Playstore).
Also, if needed an alternate source for Gapss is http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps, use the "small" version.
Thanks for the suggestion. Other gapps on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2397942 does not work. The gapps on the wiki page works, though it is for 4.4.2. I think the orginal thread on CM11 EMMC install should notice users on the possible problem.

I'm a total newbie to this but I think I have the same issue.... This is what I done and the results:
Used Win32imager onto 32gb Sandisk to write unpacked image of emmc-cwm-early3.1.img.gz then loaded onto card the following files:
cm-11-20141212-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip
cwm-recovery-ovation-6.zip
pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20141214-signed.zip
pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20141214-signed.zip
Re-booted and did backup of stock and cleared/formatted internal card. Installed cwmrecovery images, and CM11 nightly. Tried installing to gapps stock and mini both came up with a Status 6 failed installation error .
Tried reverting to stock and couldn't recover due to error so re-installed CM and had same error. Copied off and removed restore apks to ensure enough space and tried again - still
status 6 error.
Checked to see whether script files has LF/CR but script file is dummy and the binary all seems to be in LF format. Running out of ideas as all of this is new to me.
So looks like i'm in same situation - HD+ which boots to CM but no stock googleapps.
I know it doesn't help but looks like same issue - any ideas?

Did you try using the Gapps packages from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps? They are for CM11, the apps are a bit dated but after installation can be updated (via Google Playstore) to their most current version.

Deleted the pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20141214-signed.zip file.
Downloaded the two files from your link:
gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip
gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
dropped both onto the card, re-booted and installed the larger 20140606 version which installed without any error messages. Removed card and re-booted - extra apps all look in place. Will now make sure they all run OK.
Thanks very much for your help - much appreciated. Can you tell me what the difference is in the installers that make the PA versions crash or is that too long winded?

Hello everyone,
I recently asked my friend to root my phone and flash cyanogen mod 12 on my phone. After he flashed it, I realised that I still have the stock recovery (MI Receovery 2.). I am unable to flash gapps no matter how many times I try. I have added the zip file to internal memory, changed the name to "update", from recovery, i have tried to update.zip but it always fails after it reaches 98%.
I thought the problem was the stock recovery so I tried to flash the cwm recovery the same way as mentioned above, but the result was the same. I couldn't flash that either.
Please help!!!

Okay it seems that your system partition is full.
You can opt for one of the 2 solutions I'll provide you :
1
So as too much said, you can resize your partition in order to get system1 1.2Gb and system 2 just some Mb.
Here is the thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-3/general/howto-resize-extend-partition-capacity-t3011918
Or just flash the zip provided here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58591075&postcount=29
But remember to make a nandroid backup of your rom because repartitionning will wipe your system partitions. And also keep the rom zip on your internal memory.
2
But without resizing you can flash a smaller gapps package (just google play services and play store), normally your rom is based on android 5.0.2, so if I'm not mistaking here are the gapps you can flash (smaller one) : https://mega.co.nz/#!1c1VhAKT!SCCXkMJ3oS1bTc-LFFYCjqL0MXVqb4Q8HIEINuZYj98
After that you can install gmail and other google apps from play store. These apps are going to be installed as user app wiythout taking storage on system partition.
Hope it'll help you
I decide to share it there because I don't know better place for this...
This is an Xposed framework variant built for MIUI based devices running Android 5.0, 5.1 and 6.0.
Tested and working on latest ROM's on various devices.
Fully working resource hooking and themes.
Prerequisite:
- Custom recovery (CWM, TWRP)
Bugs report:
- If you get any lag, broken feature or any App force closing, post your Xposed logs.
- If you get a boot-loop, reboot and get the logcat with "adb logcat -v time".
Please pay attention:
Archive with Xposed installation contains some necessary information and it is very important to successfully installation to choose right archive.
- "arm" means the devices that are running arm32 operating system and uses ARM architecture CPU.
- "arm64" means the devices that are running arm64 operating system and uses ARM64 architecture CPU.
- "x86" means the devices that are running x86 operating system and uses x86 architecture (Intel) CPU.
- "sdk21" means Android Lollipop 5.0.x
- "sdk22" means Android Lollipop 5.1.x
- "sdk23" means Android Marshmallow 6.0.x
If you try to install wrong archive it will not installed and error message appears in TWRP installation log.
Magisk
Magisk (systemless) variants of archives separated only by Android versions (sdk21, sdk22 and sdk23). CPU architecture will be detected automatically.
How to install:
- Install Xposed Installer app
- Make a nandroid backup
- Copy the Xposed file and the uninstaller to your sdcard
- Flash "xposed-vxx-sdkxx-armxx-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-xxxxxxxx.zip" through a custom recovery (TWRP/CWM...)
- Reboot and wait, it may take several minutes to boot up depending on your ROM size and installed apps amount. If phone still not boot after 5 minutes then you need get boot log by "adb logcat -v time", reboot into recovery and restore backup or de install Xposed
Attention!
Starting from v86 official version of Xposed become more compatibly with ROMs that use a Resources subclass for e.g. theming, like MIUI.
So, try firstly official Xposed on your device. If it will works well (take a look at themes, if they works well, then all Ok), then you doesn't need this version of Xposed.
But I suppose that on some devices official Xposed still may cause bootloops.

That was always a issue with xposed and miui, even when I've used it on my nexus 4. Guess it have something to do with permissions with miui.

Not working
Can't install on Redmi Note 2, MIUI 7.3.1 stable (Android 5.0.2).
Error is: "chown: /system/lib/libart.so.orig.gz: Read-only file system".
Manual mounting in r/w mode does not help =(
Actually, this file libart.so.orig.gz is not the first in batch and not the last, but error happens only with it.
update: I have modified SolarWarez's package, now installs normally. Tested, working.
(what i did is disabled script interruption on some errors while setting owner and permissions on files).

I have flashed xposed-v83-sdk22-arm64-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20160428 but any downloaded and enabled module won't work (even after reboot).
Moreover my Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is laggy now.
How can I unistall it?
ROM MIUI 7 by miui.it 6.5.5 based on Android 5.1.1.
Edit:
Uninstalled flashing xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64.zip by TWRP
I'll use it when I buy my Xiaomi... in the future...
Hi just discovered a bug: when in stock browser I go to bookmarks/history browser force closes. This also happens when browser tries to show a dialog window (for instance, when you go to xiaomi.eu it asks to install tapatalk). Log attached
Edit: attached another log got when getting to copy text in stock browser
I have flashed xposed-v83-sdk22-arm64-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20160428 on MIUI7 using Lenovo A7000-a
Xposed give error, Phone freezes and I have to retart it by pulling battery of mobile phone. I am using Xposed for only XInternalSD because its mount SD Card as internal Memory.
When is v84 coming? Hope bugs get resolved and there's compatibility with miui 8
Hello all
I'm stuck here.
I have a Huawei P9 running on TWRP 3.1.1.1 and EVA-L09C432B390 with SuperSU on EMUI 5.0 installed.
I need to preface here that I never did any backups during my operations, so just assume that there is no backups and we start from scratch (please keep the shaming to a reasonable level).
I was too reckless when deinstalling some system apps and it caused the classical problem of all the google apps and services not working anymore. I also inadvertantly deleted the stock launcher, but the rest of the stock firmware seems to still be working fine
To make it worse, I then tried removing all the google apps to reinstall them but realized that it's not possible to remove all google services using a simple root explorer/file deleter. When I try to adb install a gapps zip, I'm getting an error: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE]
I tried downloading the firmware to flash it anew, but that didn't work. I downloaded B390 on this a website, to which XDA doesn't let me post a link because new member, GG, but apparently TWRP can't find ZIPs to flash when they're in the internal storage, and my SD card doesn't hold enough space for all the zip files.
I tried sideloading the update.zip file, but i get the error: * cannot read 'update.zip' * , I also get the same error for the file "update_full_EVA-L09_hw_eu.zip"
However, the file update_data_full_public.zip seemed like it worked, but after rebooting to system nothing had changed.
I have managed to "reinstall" Play Store but I can't start it, with the error popup: "Install core GMS packages to use Google Play Store"
At this point, I just want to start anew with stock firmware EMUI5.0, and if I have to also with stock ROM, So I can start anew with TWRP and the rest and not **** up this royally the second time.
Thanks for your time
EDIT: Went into eRecovery, but the recovering process fails at "Getting package info from server" with the error message "Getting package info failed".
I also tried installing a pico package on opengapps but that didn't work either, I'm still getting the Core GMS error message when trying to open play store.
Last usable version is 24.1 on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 ( hlte ) using custom-rom [ROM][10.0.0_r46] SuperiorOS - Phoenix [FINAL][OFFICIAL][HLTE/CHN/KOR/TMO]
Because ver 24.3 available, i tried to update from working 24.1
used flashing by twrp 3.6.6.1 screen told me; unable to mount /system as cause to be unable to flash.
as described i renamed the magisk-v24.3.apk to.zip and tried to flash.
created system partition new as ext4, flashed os, flashed google apps nano, but was unable to flash magisk-24.3
tried magisk-24.2 same way, fails also
tried magisk-24.1 works fine as expected.
So i'm unable to flash magisk-24.2 or later yet.
Any Ideas?
Peter
PS: extract .zip on windows 10 works fine, repackaging using 7zip using the older files fails also to flash
Edit: log file attached from trying to update by app and screenshot of app
Tried [ROM][OFFICIAL][11] LineageOS 18.1 for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (hlte*), same bug as before.
Made full wipe during install and restored apps from google play.
Magisk 24.1 works fine, but unable to install 24.2 and 24.3.
