Hello all,
I have a problem with my Android Studio emulator.
When I launch emulator, phone is displayed on my PC screen (I choose Nexus 5) but the phone screen remains black !
Have you already got the same problem ?
And if yes, have you fixed it and how ?

Hy guys, I need help. I read that some of you had enabled readyboost and sidebar in Vista business on the Shift. I have an italian version of it, and i'm not able to enable the sidebar a message said to me that the sidebar is used by the amministrator" but i'm the admin! and for the readyboost? every memory pen or sd that i tried can't shown me the option for enabling readyboost.

Shift - upgrade BIOS problem
Hy guys,
Please I need help. I did upgrade BIOS HTC shift to 1.1.0.8.
Shift screen goes to black and shift looked as shut off.
After 10 minutes i started SHIFT again, but bios crash in start screen where is sign:
Press F1 to run setup
Press F2 to load default values and continue
But nothing does not work :- (
Is there some solutions?

I updated my bios without any problems.
You might do better starting a new thread about this, as it may not be seen tagged on the end of this one. But a failed bios update usually means a warranty claim.

Had the same problem .. simply entered Bios Setup, checked the settings and saved ..

Hopefully just a small checksum error etc.. but dont worry .. press F1.. enter setup.. check settings.. sit wont disturb u again! Shif is working fine after that!

Hi there all Shift owners and developers ,
My shift is installed with xp tablet , wm6 - ioo rom . When i click on the zoom button ( the second top right button ) it will resize the screen to a smaller and sharper display and another click it will go back to the normal size , And when i click on the commander button ( the first top right button ) it will display a bat. something ! file where i can switch on / off wifi and bluetooth by tapping on the screen . Since i have change the user setting , i now unable to get any response when i clicked both the buttons , Is there any way to restore or reinstate this earlier function to both the buttons ? Please assist me as i am a newbie to Shift , thanks and kind regards - jimmunsw
Not sure.. but if all else fails you can try a factory restore
Remember to backup first though
Had this problem. I reinstalled the drivers from the HTC website and that restored the button functions.

I had the same problem. Using XP you use the modded control center. just look in the .bat file, i installed them in programs folder, not in root c:\, which causing the error you have, I just modified the path to controls in .bat files, everyone of those 4, wifi on, off, bluetooth on, off. And had no problem. However I agreed that Windows 7 is more suitable for this device because of the great touchscreen support so... Windows 7 it is

First, thanks for all the XDA community's job on Android it works really fine but I have 2 problems on this:
when I enter in a input zone for text the keybord (AZERTY one) will not work properly for examples it is on QWERTY then I have to select another field and sometimes it work. another times the return key wont work and the space bar types ".com"
The other problem is when I put sounds and pictures on my SD card Android gallery will not display them if I want a notification or a backgroun picture I have to download manually on a internet site.
I search all over the forum but all I found is the folder /media/audio ... but it doesnt work

i think the first problem with the keyboard relates to the windows opera mobile 9.7 (Internet Mode) , i didnt have this problem in linux but in windows, i had to install fingerkeyboard2 to fix it because the space bar was replaced with a .com and others issues too.

from post 413 down tells you the possible solutions
but it does sometimes not everytime and there is the unworking "return key" in the same time. I will try your solution next times I launch Android but it's very hard because I have not to be on battery even it shutdown 5 minutes after I turn on Android "no battery left"
Any way to xap file with blank black screen of the phone?
I have alot of apps and games and after flashed new rom it took me about 3 hours to re xap my apps & games, i must set "Screen time out after: nerver". Phone got very hot after finish xaping.
Could anyone write an app that do nothing but blank black screen to run during xaping?

I have a problem with display my phone.

This problem is related to the phone screen. Like when the phone's LCD is damaged but my phone's LCD is not damaged and the touch and everything works fine. When I use a program and exit it and enter a new program, the menus of the previous program appear on my screen. When the background is white, I do not see this problem for example, when I use iMessage. I had this problem before, but I thought the reason for this problem was from a special program, but now this problem has increased a lot.
For example, I just typed for you by using the keyboard. If I now enter another app, which has a dark background, I can see the effects of the keyboard in that program.
Please help me
