Motorola Like Apps for Note5 - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I come from the MotoX first gen.
This note 5 is amazing. I am only missing from my motorola the:
Active Display notifications on display.
Auto detects that it is on the on the CAR and reads any incoming messages and calls and i can reply back.
It goes silent at night from a fixed time i set but if i get calls from X phone(emergencys) it will sound and wake me up
It goes into meeting mode and auto answers messages or send text to who ever call me to tell them i am in a meeting.
Are there any apps out there that will substitute all the apps from motorola to have them on my note 5?

Active display breathe function?

I recently received my Moto x and i have set up active display. I know when I move the phone or pick it up the phone will breathe once showing the time. If I receive a call, email or text message the display will breathe to let me now there is a notification.
My question is, if the phone is just sitting on a desk is it supposed to breathe the time or does the screen just stay off completely until you have some type of notification (missed call, text or email)?
Stays off! Chris

I've noticed that if the table gets bumped it will blink the time at me. Not a big deal just wanted to let you know

I keep mine on a stand in front of me all day at work and will get the occasional screen on with either a bump of the table or even noise? Not sure if that is possible, but sometimes it seems a loud noise will fire it up...more than likely its the vibrations from the noise, but something to note.

5.1 Priority Notifications are Worse than Moto Assist

This sucks. Moto Assist allowed me to set my sleep time so that someone would have to call me twice from the same number w/in 5 minutes for them to get my phone to ring. That was perfect.
That has apparently been eliminated in 5.1 so that now only priority notifications get through and they get through on the first try if you select your downtime settings and have starred a contact. The problem I have with that is that I don't want to "star" any of my family members as they are the worst offenders in calling me when I am sleeping. But I do want them to be able to get through to me in an emergency and what I have instructed them to do is to call twice w/in 5 minutes to get through to me during my sleeping hours if it is an emergency.
Can I use tasker or some other app to get back the Moto Assist option that is now gone from Moto Assist?
Autoring is supposed to do what you want, I haven't tried it with my MotoX.
I've used Do Not Disturb in the past and it does what you want.
You can also create a Tasker profile that will do this. Basically you set up a simple "silence when asleep" profile, then add another profile that disables Silent mode for a few minutes when you receive a call.
Edit: Also, I haven't tried it on the Moto X, but with the Tasker profile you may need to create a "delay" for the incoming call. On some phones the profile will work such that it rings for those emergency numbers as the tasker wiki describes, which is not what you want. On others it doesn't ring for the incoming call that triggers the exception but instead rings for the next call.

Disable vibration while on calls?

Currently, my phone will vibrate for certain notifications while I am on a phone call. I don't want any vibration to occur while I am on a phone call (although a discreet beep in the background would be good, but not essential, the main thing is no vibration while on a call).
I've looked extensively in settings and can't find any way to achieve this. Have I missed something?
Phone is unrooted and stock ROM.
I'm looking for the same thing! The vibrator is so darned loud and with phone in my ear, it's crazy!
Hi,
It turned out I had to install a 3rd-party app for messaging (Handcent) to get this feature.
Also, after investigating further it turned out that the stock Messaging app doesn't vibrate when you receive a message while on a call (that is, there is no notification at all during the call). So it must have been some other app that had vibrated in my ear. However, I installed Handcent because I still want a notification (a tone) if I receive a message while I am on a call.
Hope this helps.
Look like the bug has been fixed and will be available in "future build"

Automation app when I untie(take off) my pebble time round?

Actually, it's not for me but my wife.
She always miss the phone call or messages.
That's why I purchase two pebble time round. one for me and one for my wife.
After using pebble time round, she rarely miss phone call or messages.
(FYI, we set silent mode on our phone when we use Pebble. Ringing sound or vibration is noise pollution for us.)
However, when she come back to house she take off her watch(pebble) ONLY.
She never set her phone to vibration mode or sound mode)
So I've been searching some pebble app or companion app for android phone.
When pebble is stand-by mode or it is not moving (recognize its wearing status). phone ringing status change automatically from silent mode to sound mode.
Is there any app for my wife?

Issues with Google Assistant and WhatsApp

Hello all!
I have recently acquired a P30 Pro (Dual SIM version), and there are two issues that I would like to solve:
1 - Google Assistant won't work if the phone is unlocked: If the phone is locked, using "Ok Google" everything is OK, but if the phone is unlocked, there is a voice answering me, but the screen remains blank. It shows the blank space where the answer is suposed to be, but it does't display anything. Does anybody have a similar issue? - THIS ISSUE WAS SOLVED - It seems that the Google app was updated, and the issue went away.
2 - In the Do Not Disturb mode, I have allowed all calls to ring. Nontheless, when it is active, the WhatsApp calls (both, normal, and videocalls) are not ringing (even if they are from my "favourite" contacts). Of note, if the Do Not Disturb mode is off, WhatsApp calls ring normally. Also, I have realised that in Settings>Notifications>WhatsApp, there is no a "Calls" option (I wanted to activate an exception for that cattegory). I have: Crytical applications, Chat history, Sending media, Error notification, Groups, Messages, Silent notifications, Audio playing, and Other notifications. What can I do? - THIS ISSUE WAS SOLVED - In the notifications settings, the "Calls" options suddently appeared, and now I have been able to config it.
Thanks everybody in advance!!!
PS: I'm in EMUI 10, but in EMUI 9, I had the same issues
EVERYTHING SOLVED!
