hello all,
I'm looking for a good, fast and stable (with possibility of some customisations) ROM...
I was with stock until last week. I've now unlocked with htcdev.com (S-ON) and rooted.
I'm currently with Android Revolution HD 93.0 for the past 4 days.
but the rom is very laggy, takes a lot of time to load maps in google maps, to switch between apps, to open / close apps ...
not sure what I can do there... so what would you guys recommend?
my m7 htc:
android version is 5.0.2
sense 6.0
build 7.19.401.30
kernel 3.4.10
Thank you
i'm looking for that too, i think the best option we have is to find a stable nougat rom for daily use.

I'm no expert... but I'm not too confident in android 7 for this phone... maybe I'm wrong...
Well, waiting on the expert suggestions.
TeslaOS Rom is the only Android N Rom without any bugs as far as i know.

Download Rom https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=133965
and Wake Control Kernel https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298917630
I can recommended AICP Rom also and LineageOS 14.1. Both roms are really stable and fast. If you prefer stock roms than I can recommend InsertCoin rom or ARTMOD with ElementalX or Xceed kernel
Sent from my One using XDA Labs
i think i gonna give a try to lineageOS 14.1 , i saw many good feedbacks...
Lineage 14.1 is the best for me. I tried resurrection remix but wasnt cool as lineage 14.1
I'm happy with AICP. For me it's stable, fast, has descent customization options and nightly updates. I've tried all available Nougat ROMs and have no complaints about AICP.
resurrection remix 5.82 also not bad. one of the best rom with lot of customizations.
I've been running ViperOne 9.0.0 since it started. Runs well with lots of customisation. Can sometimes slow down depending how much space you have i think but overall very stable with ElementalX kernel imo. It's been my daily driver forever.
I've not tried nougut due to no xposed yet so i can't comment which roms for that.
I can attest that the most stable ROM as far as I can see right now for my M7 is the good ole CM 12.1 Lollipop rom with nano gapps. I use a 2015-10-6 build date release I had downloaded some time ago before CM locked shop. I get the longest battery life, best performance in games, most available RAM, and just the most stable behavior overall. I play Pokemon Go so having an unrooted rom is essential for me. However you can unroot CM based roms I've found easily in general. This time around i just installed iSu.apk (root switcher app I found here on xda), enabled it and restarted my phone which causes you to lose root (which I don't mind).
I've tried several of the Nougat ROMS including Lineage OS 14.1, Resurrection Remix N7 and SlimRom. They all have issues surrounding making and receiving calls for my M7. Some persons have said in the forums they don't have issues where that's concerned though. But i see a lot of persons reporting they do. My phone would freeze and restart after I came off a call at times on Nougat. Regarding Marshmallow... worse. So yes i recommend CM 12.1

Do i have any problems when i change to nougat? I don't want bugs. Btw sorry for my bad english i use translate program...
I believe I will try AICP 7.1.1 on the M7 as I've recently tried it on an LG G2 D802 & it was fantastic breath of fresh air. Granted I didn't test every function but the speed great, smooth & not a single crash so far anyway. I'm very pleased with the Stability of N so far as I also have them on some original Nexus 7 Tab's and it runs nicely.

Well I'm no longer passing the SafetyNet tests since Monday and as such I can no longer play Pokemon Go. Google must have updated their code. So I may just end up trying AICP...

The Bug people are talking about only happens if you end a call with speaker active. The next call has no sound until you end the call without speaker (next call will have sound) or reboot the phone. This Bug is present on all N roms.
Any chance to have Android O after release?
Hi everyone, so some mistakes have been made today. While playing around with substratum theme engine on my mix running lineage-os 14.1, i had uninstalled one of the themes and then decided to uninstall the app entirely, however after uninstall it didnt reset the theme, so i rebooted. While attempting to reboot it got stuck in a boot loop. At this point I plugged my phone into my pc and booted into twrp so i could access my files and get them off, however when attempting to boot into twrp i could not use the touch screen which is preventing me from re-flashing my rom. and so after troubleshooting for an hour or soi had all my files off of my device, so i decided to format the system partition. so now i have no rom flashed and a twrp that i cannot use due to lack of touchscreen, its temporarily bricked i guess. So my questions are; A. can i use an otg cable and a mouse to control twrp? B. Is there some way to directly flash a rom from adb or from the connected pc. Then I should also state that I have tried older/newer versions of twrp to try to get the touchscreen working, to no avail (currently running 3.1.1-0 lithium). Ive read that it may be touchscreen drivers or something that are mis-matched from the rom. the onlyt issue is that there is no rom, also ive heard that the touchscreen is at a kernel level so i may need to flash a new kernel to get it working. TBH im not going to do anything else so that i dont completely brick my phone. Thank you all in advance for helping out!
Please try this (older) TWRP by MrRaines: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298927160
It's TWRP 3.0.2-0 based but has different kernel/driver that is more compatible with a varous bunch of ROMs.
You're a god, this is exactly what I needed, thanks!!!

Ok glad to read that it works.
Please keep in mind: the TWRP of MrRaines is an older one and is heavily modified.
ATM i'm trying to investigate what's the specific reason other TWRP versions are conflicting with touchscreen drivers on every new release of an stable or dev rom but MrRaines TWRP is still working ^^
The TWRP compatibility case has become even worse with the release of some Android 7.x / Nougat based ROMs - without an official kernel source release for Android 7 by Xiaomi (Android 6 kernel sources should have been released some weeks ago).
Could take a couple of days to find a reason and some more to find a solution...
... any help, tips and confidential information is very welcome @MrRaines @jcadduono

Hmmm. I did try two or even three other versions of TWRP. The first two would not even flash giving me an error. The third worked but touch screen would not work. Final attempt was the one from MrRaines which worked perfect!
Hello, I was going to root my Moto X and wanted to know what recommendations there are for very stable roms currently available. Thanks ahead.
Use Lineage OS, its the most stable one.
Latest stock with xposed or CypherOS works both for me.
Cheers

You mean the one which still doesn't show charging percentage when the phone is off?
Go for Resurrection Remix or AOSP Extended, they've got the most features and they work great (AOSP gives you that extra bit in battery life)
For me the best is LineageOs
I tried a lot of ROMs, but since May for me, a good choice is LineageOs, stable, simple, smooth. All working good, great battery life with greenify.
(The ROM shows battery percentage when phone is changing while it's off) The bug was fixed some time ago. I recommend you this Rom.
Reliability

Its stable enough. If it will not be stable enough for you, you can always switch to another rom.
Which rom date should I try?
Hello, I want to try Lineage, which rom date should I try?
The latest work fine.
This month they fixed some bugs, the ROM of 16 June is working very good.
For root:go on LineageOs page download, on extras you find it, the name is: addonsu-arm-signed.zip
Just flash it after installing lineage
For opengapps I recommend you Pico or Stock
I recommend you to use an usb for installing the ROM,gapps and root.
I flash all ROMs from usb otg, I wipe everything on my phone, except otg.

This new thread is for Orfik's version of the Resurrection Remix ROM. It is updated and maintained weekly by him.
He is compiling this ROM for his own enjoyment but decided to share this with the community. He is not responsible if your tablet bricks, your SD card spontaniously combust or if you did not research enough to know better because you decided to mod your device while being in the dark about it.
You warranty will be void!. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Installation is OK, no problem.

where can i download the T813 version ? gts210vewifi ?
thank you !
Magisk issue
Managed to successfully install this latest RR ROM version, things seem to run fine so far. Had to uninstall the previous 7.1.1 ROM version due to non functional fingerprint sensor, but things are running fine now. There was a temporary issue with Magisk not installed at the start, but installed the latest 13.3 version through TRWP 3.1.1-1 and is perfect now.
Thank you

I just dirty flashed update T713 from today! Good job, works perfectly.
Just flashed on T813. Works well and dirty flashed from other ROM. the only issue I had was that I was receiving a 'android-process-acore-has-stopped' error. I had to restore my contacts and contacts storage from titanium to fix. The updated twrp works better except you still can't back up when you have the encryption set up

Wonderful work, thank you!
OTA update is not working!
Any idea?
Thanks!
New update working fine on 813 except issues with night mode not switching on and off as per customised schedule and can't find a setting that dims the screen Just before the screen turns off

I flashed it on my T713 yesterday and works great. Have T713 only for 2 days and was about to returned it. I mean great screen , great ergonomics, but it was so lagy. I had like 15 FPS in injustise 2 and it was unplayeble.
Coming from nvidia shield, i was disappointed. Then in last effort to keep tablet I flashed you rom and it is night and day. Whit your rom iam happy with my tab S2. I mean games run so mutch better and over all it is mutch smoother. Only down side is, fast charging dont work, but thas only thing i found and can live whit out.
So thank you , I can enjoy my new tablet
Been a while since I've had a look at ROMs but IIRC, the fast charging capacity is kernel related. I will see if I can find out what is wrong (can't promise anything though)

I agree. This ROM improved my T713 performance dramatically as well. Like I said, not guaranteed it will work. Last time I have modded stuff was back when Android was on version Jelly Bean... [emoji3]
Hi guys,
can anybody here report back if there's a well working ROM that supports Android Auto perfectly? I don't mean the app itself, that should work on every ROM. But the connection to a car's infotainment and the external screen functionality.
I was using MIUI (xiaomi.eu in particular) for most of the time now, and with the recent versions, Android Auto started having serious issues. Car screen freezing, phone locking up completely and such things. Disabling HW overlays and not using AOD helps, but some issues remain.
I thought I'd give some AOSP ROMs a try (I want to go AOSP anyways, just stuck with MIUI until there were some stable ROMs to choose from). Sadly, none of the two AOSP ROMs (Pixel Experience and DerpFest) I've tried works flawlessly with Android Auto -> Similar issues of the phone locking up. Is this a general problem?
If not, could somebody recommend me a ROM that works perfectly with Android Auto?
Thanks in advance!
Wrong thread sorry

That's good to know, thanks for reporting in. I'd prefer an AOSP ROM if I am honest, but if there is no other way, I'll definitely go xiaomi.eu stable.
Just to report back on this question, I have tried a few more ROMs and I am going with Syberia. Although it's not on Android Q yet, it works perfectly and I have not yet encountered any bugs. Android Auto works flawlessly.
Glad you found one that works. I'm in the same boat. I've asked about this and over XDA, other forums and I just get ignored. I'm running an Umidigi F1 Play and can't find a single AOSP-based ROM that works with Android Auto on this phone. Stock works fine but I don't want to be a year behind in security updates just do I can run Android Auto. Currently running Lineage 17 on this phone and have been waiting for months for a fix to this issue.

There's no GSI though right? On the Umidigi, there are no custom ROMs. GSI is my only option.
