that is not possible, it is one part LCD and digticer
I'd of thought as the phone is so cheap buy another and use the old one for spares. The screen is bonded and made by LG what it's doing in a phone at this price is a miracle. It will cost you £50+to buy and then unless you have done it before....

Hi,
Anyone know where I can find a new motherboard and the ribbon that attaches the screen to the motherboard? Thanks.

unless you find someone selling theirs for parts, finding a mobo/ribbon would be pretty much impossible.
You're better off buying a new x1.
1 quick question.
In case my T-Mobile HD2 "glass" breaks, all I would need is a 60 dollar Digitizer for the T-Mobile off ebay right ?
No soldering needed ? Just snap-off the broken one and snap on the new one ?
Has anybody done this ?
Just asking for peace of mind.. I like having getaway options.

Apparently it is much more difficult than that. And most of the ones for sale at Ebay are not compatible with the US version. You really need the digitizer with the LCD attached. I just had mine fixed by HTC and it is supposed to cost $120. But they have not charged my credit card yet. The price is actually cheaper than that quoted to me by a seller in Hong Kong. I opted for peace of mind knowing that it will be fixed properly by HTC and if not they will replace it. Plus I get 90 day warranty on the repair.
Well there are some on ebay who specify in their listing "T-Mobile HD2 only digitizer"
Question is, is it easy to pull out just the Digitizer on the US HD2 and get it replaced without sending to HTC ?

I'm going with No. I have done a few before for different phones and unless your quite skilled with electronics and mobile screens then it's not worth it. As stated, get a digitizer with LCD attached already. You physically have to separate the digitizer and the LCD which is very difficult. They are usually glued/taped together and you risk getting dirt in between and cracking the LCD anyway. Get them already together then just disassemble, install, reassemble. Save you $$ in the long run.
So I go to order a new oem LCD and digitizer on ebay, found one, bought it and then I get a message from the guy after he ships it out to me saying, 'Hey, I just put your package in the mail, it was the L900 lcd digitizer assembly, right?' .....No, it wasn't it was suppose to have just been the LCD and digitizer, not with the housing still super adhesived on. I have a T889, which is why I was happy to have found that LCD and Digitizer combo for only $90. But the housings are not compatible with T889 and L900, so I would have to run the risk of damaging the LCD/Digitizer of the new one, just to switch it to my T889 housing.
What should I do? Should I mingle and see if someone has a screen they would like to trade? Should I mail it back to him and lose 35% in restocking fees? Should I turn around and sell it? I need my phone for my day to day life and my job. What would you guys do?

Did you use Paypal? If so just contact them about a FULL refund. There is no point in arguing with the guy if it is his fault. In my opinion I would contact the company you used to pay him especially if he is going to try and get a restocking fee out of you for his mistake, that is ridiculous.
Why would he confirm the screen after sending it out? Clearly, he has done this on purpose! Make a dispute claim with eBay and PayPal.

I have a verizon g2 that works except for the lcd.
I went to ebay and amazon and they sell lcd + digitizer for like 100$.
But I only need to replace lcd only.
Is there any site that sells lcd only for a cheap price?
Oh, I have a white one.

From what I've seen it's a bit challenging to separate the two because of how they are glued together.

So whether the digitizer is broken or not I should just buy the 100$ one and fix?

I was watching this vid - the piece on the bubble wrap is a new screen/digitizer, they are glued together, you'd need to get the digitizer off without breaking it. It's possible I guess, just there's a risk of cracking the glass while separating them.
Lcd is the expensive part anyway, just buy them fused.

Well I seem to be the first one to break ground here. I am now the owner of a BLU r1 HD with a smashed lcd. It appears to be disintegrating as I go. So first, those of you who like this phone, I highly recommend some kind of case and screen protector. Secondly, anyone know where one might get a cheap replacement screen? Looking at ebay I can see one for pretty much the price of the phone. If anyone knows where to get a part, it would be appreciated as I was starting to like this phone.

Seems kind of high priced though
Oh yeah, saw that one previously. It doesn't seem to be available and even so, at that price I may as well buy a new one. Thanks though.
Except you can't buy a second Prime phone of the same model as one that you have purchased before.
You can buy a 8gb/1gb if you already purchased the 16gb/2gb model BUT they are no longer are listed in Amazon site.
I've not no luck with the glass screen protectors. The outer extreme don't stick. Only using a TPU case.

My screen is cracked, and was wondering if taking off the glass and putting on a case with built in screen protector can work? Any ideas?
LCD is working fine, just the glass is broken...
The phone bent in my back pocket.
The LCD is not meant to be touched and is easily damaged. I would try to buy another prime phone from amazon. If you find that you can't, because it won't allow it at the prime price, call customer service and explain the situation. Offer to send them pictures of the serial number screen showing the broken glass. At $60, it's simply not worth repairing. I bought a spare one by having a friend with prime order it and have it shipped directly to me - so that's another option you have if amazon still won't sell you another one.
