Pretty self-explanatory... changes to enable DT2W on other variants of the G2 broke it on our VS980s. So this is just a kang/build of CM13 with tap-to-wake changes reverted. (thanks to Drgravy and Lawlrus for finding me the correct information!).
PLEASE do not report bugs from this build to the CM team. This build is for testing purposes only for those like me who can't function in daily life without tapping on the screen twice to turn the phone on. :silly:
And please don't complain here if you screw up your device...it is all experimental at this point and recommended only for experienced flashers.
If there is enough interest, I will make a weekly build with the latest CM base until DT2W is fixed (speaking of which, I am delving into that now).
***FIXED IN CM OFFICIAL...this is no longer relevant***

Thanks bro
Not totally surprising, but battery seems slighyly worse with this enabled -- though I was previously running my own build from 11/19 so there's a bunch of stuff it could be.

Seems like a lot of people on 6.0 are having an issue with WiFi interval scan. Might help some with battery life.
would this be okay to dirty flash over an existing cm13 build? (dated 12-04)
I wouldn't... but in *theory* it should be fine
same build date, btw...so nothing else should change
I can't seem to get double tap to wake to work. I tried enabling it in the settings. I tried rebooting and toggling it. Nothing seems to help. Is there anything specific that I need to do to enable it?
dirty flashing from 12-04 did not fix dt2w, enabled the gesture in settings/display and it did not respond. will be clean flashing to test this further.
---------- Post added at 07:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:11 PM ----------
after a clean flash, double tap to wake still does not work.
i also noticed in the about phone section that the CM version was 13.0-20151203 which does not match the date marked in the zip file (zip file indicates 2015-12-05). was this a derp on your end?
hmmm. working on mine. CM base just hadn't been syncd since 12/3.
Let me check the upload...

must have an upload issue... will send it again, prob take 20 mins
It is working on both vs980s here
Ahh... the build software has the nasty habit of not renaming output files... name is the same but different time/MD5 think I uploaded the wrong one.
Oops!
Uploading the build directly from my vs980 so this is the right one.
Will update OP link in about 20 mins

if this is what i think it is, dt2w is gonna get fixed pretty soon, if not in the next official nightly

Updated OP this morning to reflect. thanks!
I just flashed this (after TWRP factory wipe) (and the goods available with OpenGApps' "pico" bundle) and it has booted fine. The first thing I did was try to encrypt the phone, and it seems this feature is doing the same as the CM12 builds I was using: upon reboot, the "Encrypting" screen just keeps "spinning", 0% complete, green bar is ever scrolling. Does/did this work for others? Thanks in advance!
This was just a temporary build until official CM fixed dt2w. You should move to official, as many changes are being added daily

Everyone is in love with AOKP and some of the other ROMs and kernels around here, but I didn't want or need everything that was added in to them. So, being that Android is open source, I decided to make my own. If you love a lot of customization, pull down toggles, and having everything (kitchen sink included), then this probably isn't going to be the combination for you, so you can save yourself some time and just look elsewhere. My ROM is close to stock AOSP, with a few extras added in that I wanted to help with usability without being over the top. If you like the stock JB experience, but feel that it's missing just a little bit, then this combination may be for you.
To go with the ROM, I put together a mostly stock kernel as well. The kernel is based on the same source as the CM10 kernel, but I've added in a few items and removed stuff that isn't really needed for most users. The GApps are also packaged in, so only one package to flash to get everything you want.
ROM Features
Built from 4.1.2 source
Linaro Toolchain, -O3, & strict-aliasing
Reboot Options
su and Superuser
"Accurate" Battery mod and Smooth Charging
See Github for the other changes made

Yes, but you'll loose the functionality of Google Now. Same with the iPhone 4. Google Now works on the 4S and 5, but Google Maps will fail to load on all iPhone models.
In other news, I've been using this for a day, so I've tested most of the major items, but there is surely stuff I haven't done or tried yet, so please report any bugs or issues and I'll attempt to fix them.
cant wait to try this out

ok then i try to flash it now
Seems that while GPS still works for me, it is having issues and causing battery drain by randomly coming on trying to find my position. Not sure if this is from an app I have installed or not. Has anyone that has flashed it had an issue?
Also, I believe I almost have the pull-down toggles merged in. The next update will have them, and possibly fix the GPS issue if I can find where it is. Once that is settled, I'll build for P3110 and P3100 to try and get them working, and finally, build for the P51xx models.
Updated the OP with a new build, change log is in the second post

I think the only difference between P3110 and P3113 is the IR Blaster, which doesn't work anyway, so I'm thinking that it should work fine, as you found, without any real quirks. I will hopefully be finished with another project I'm working on soon, so I'll be able to put all of my P3113 changes into P3110 and P3100 and build for them then too.
Also, glad to see some more feedback and other people using the ROM. Glad people like it thus far.

I've tried a few things to try and improve the GPS but haven't succeeded

Nice work, sir! Have tried all other ROMs, and came back th this one as a dd. I do not use, nor would I like to feel the need to use, a 3rd party launcher app. Will watch for any other issues I have not listed and report back.
Hi folks,
There seem already many AOSP builds for NS, but I'm just pleased to share my personal build with you. I took the Google source and CM kernel/vendor as a base and have done lots of optimization work. My changes for NS after forking CM vendor were listed in the changelog of the initial build. Devs can check out commits on my github. It may worth a note that it's AOSP so never request extra features. No doubt I will keep it as stock as possible.

Issues:
panorama preview. Check out CataHd's reply for the fix.
android-4.4.3-r1.1 build can be found in this reply. Panorama issue has been fixed.
You can find out all changes on my Github. Remember that AOSP ROM doesn't include Gapps, you have to install/flash it yourself.
Cheers,

I tried changing settings in Superuser, every option works like charm. I always chased the changes of Superuser by Koush and the hack in that Superuser zip was included in my ROM. Afaik the tweak is just to run '/system/bin/su --daemon' for the root requirement.
OK, anyone else got superuser issue? xD

Very good job. So happy to see the deveopment for our old phone continues.
Now, I can confirm Superuser doesn't work. Flashing SuperSU from recovery fixed the issue pretty fast.
Other than that the ROM is very solid and smooth. I tested SMS, Location services, Wi-Fi, left phone without a charge for a night. No problems so far. Will test bluetooth streaming later today in my car.
I have the same issue with calendar like any other non google build has, I have two of them, one is AOSP build another is Google's from the play store. That doesn't bother me.
Also, I still want to know what kind of "optimization" was done. Also, can anyone test MTP for me? I turned it on using USB Switcher, but my computer didn't recognize the device.
Great job, I hope the project continues.
@leap_ahead, velishka:
Let's rule out some exceptions about Superuser issue. Did you do factory reset before flashing? I hope the old Superuser app didn't make noise. Although you guys have fixed it manually, I still hope someone can paste the output of command 'getprop persist.sys.root_access' and check if the /system/xbin/su is running when you can't get root permissions. Thank you.
Hey,
just had a closer look at your build and found the interesting property 'ro.sys.fw.bg_apps_limit' in your build.prop which is set to 8. Are you sure this works in your build ? (I only ask because this was seen only in CM until now)...

Used this baby for 3 days now and have to say that it has the best memory management for 'low-memory' devices i've seen until now. Whatever you did cn.fyodor, very good work. !
I've noticed that CM has already reverted the commit for property 'ro.sys.fw.bg_apps_limit'. You should take care that this is not reverted in your sources because IMHO this is one of the essential things which gives us this better memory management. The relevant part can be found in line 105 of https://github.com/Juansheng/androi...s/java/com/android/server/am/ProcessList.java in your github.

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually I once changed MAX_HIDDEN_APPS back the default value in Gingerbread for low memory devices nine months ago. Check this commit. ro.sys.fw.bg_apps_limit was just introduced by Codeaurora recently. And yeah CM have already reverted this prop and added a new prop for high memory (> 1.5GB) devices since more CM supported devices hold more memories nowadays. I'll ignore that commit.

Well... the M5 one was really stable and I guess the M6 one will be better because of a newer version.
I just flashed my atrix with this M6 version. Until now everything is OK!
I will let you know if I have any issues
Well, not everything is OK :crying:
My phone is freezing from time to time, I can't use this build... I did a clean install in M6...
So I guess I will try a dirty flashing of newer nightly builds, if it does not resolve, I will have to go back to older builds before unification.
Until now I could not find any good build after unification...

That shouldn't be too much of a surprise. CM11 nightly builds have been having issues for a while now....just because CM is to a stable point doesn't mean that CM on our device is at a stable point.
Check the RAZR HD CM11 forums, there are some nightlies there that have these issues resolved, Carbon already has those fixes, and the other roms oughta get them soon.

Thanks for the tip! Looks like the fix was merged in the 5/17 nightly so I'll be trying out one of the most recent CM nightlies. There's no reason that Carbon would be any more stable than CM right? It's built on CM sources after all right?

Other roms might lag a day or two behind CM in the fix department. For example, Carbon and PAC didn't get the fix until the 18th. It really depends on the rom, if it uses forks or directly uses CM, and when the custom rom is built.
I tried M5 and it work perfectly. Only a missing option in setting is turning on/off mobile network which is present in M6
I'm running the plates and everything is great. Only issue is the theme engine, since I'm a themer, the themes do not install correctly. Running cm11 nightly 5-21

I am going to post nightly builds of Cyanogenmod 12.1 for the GT-I9195 only.
The idea is to have some up-to-date 12.1 builds. CM13 might be ready but I stick with 12.1 for now.
Please keep in mind that it is a good idea to use the latest build of 12.1 because of important security fixes.
The posted nightlies are built from the official sources. Please note that I made two modifications to the code:
I.) I patched call recording into the rom - it is now possible to record calls from within the dialer menu. Please respect the privacy of others.
II.) I patched signature spoofing support into the rom. Now it is possbible to install microG GmsCore. This is a way to get rid of the proprietary GAPPS. Signature Spoofing is disabled by default and can be enabled in the developer settings menu.
I plan to update this thread from time to time - next version will be built when Android security patch level for April is reached.
I strongly recommend to use this build or build it on your own because of critical bugs that got fixed with the March patch level.

Thank you. Because CM 13.0 has a lot of bugs. And everybody is busy to fix them, forgoting CM 12.1, almost bugless.
Thank you
Thank you for your initiative. works well on my i9195.

Any general fixes/updates or just security patches? e:fingers-crossed:
I reflased my last snapshot release from november and root doesnt work (I have turn it on in developer menu).
@echo12: Well, I think there is a good amount of general fixes. To find out what exactly got fixed one would have to check Gerrit Code Review.
@wenna.speedy: I don't think that it has to do with the version I published. Root works fine for me. Maybe reflashing works. Or clean flashing. But I am afraid I cannot help you with that.
Flashed it yesterday coming from unrooted stock, seems to work fine!
Thanks a lot and greetings from Germany

Wow! Just looked at the Gerrit code review still loads of changes happening to this build! Gotta admire those hard working coders! :good: I will have to download update ....... that should mean CM13 snapshot will be out in the next day or two!
Is it applicable to GT-I9192?
Hello again from Germany,
just found a (minor) error in the ROM, concerning the cLock widget and the weather data in the notification area.
I first told cLock to use custom location and not GPS data. Now, even if I delete every cLock widget and tell it to use GPS, the cLock widget as well the weather data in the notification area always use the last *custom* location I entered instead of the GPS data.
Any ideas? Google Maps locates fine...
Greetings
René

First of all, thank you for keeping us update with the security fixes of Lollipop.
The file name is ***lte*** which I think is for i9195. Will there be another version for i9190?
Or they both can use the same file?

I seem to have lost root flashing this ROM .....patch level 02/2016, not sure if it's related to your issue but I also had the last snapshot ROM (YOG7) prior to this install. Though I suspect it may be unrelated to this ROM as there seems to be a random occurrences of this happening. It may be that when I got the message "root may have been lost etc" after flashing I selected "YES" preserve, even though I have always selected YES & it's worked before. Though I have read posts saying you should select YES, others saying NO and some saying it makes no difference. From now on I'll be selecting NO as most posts say this.
I wanted to run the BatteryCalibration app as batt not calibrated right since this install (battery was only about 50% when I flashed & I had it plugged into a power source :silly but to my surprise it says "root phone first". I have checked apps in PrivacyGuard eg Titanium is set to root access (and shows a number of uses prior) but now says it does not have root. Also I have enabled root access for apps & ADB in developers, which shows it rooted (but no # when using an app with root access). Root checker says "Sorry, root access is not properly installed on this device"
---------- Post added at 10:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:04 PM ----------
Just reflashed "patch level 02/2016" & GApps and selected NO when asked to save root. And everything is now working how it should with all apps that should have root access having root access.
Thank you for continuing to maintain 12.1 for serranoltexx.
I'm still on the last official 12.1 nightly from dec15. Can I simply update to this one as from nightly to nightly?
Thank you.

Yes, you can.
(I did this coming from a snapshot)
I updated my device without problems before was the last official version (dec/15).
From a specific official version saw some problems:
1 - Sensor Irda is not working.
2 - Alarm has no option to mute / snooze shaking or turning upside down.
3 - I can not remember now. : D
It is not the fault of the unofficial version, but something that was "commented" in the source code of the official version is still replicating.

They are working for me
1 - Though not sure if you mean the Irda "sensor" specifically ie. it does not receive an IR signal but will still send one. I have used IR to send signal as Twinone remote app is working fine with my Samsung TV, haven't used it to receive IR though, so you may be right if you specifically mean receive.
2- You can set the gestures for alarm by going to clock>alarm>three dots (for some reason it is at the BOTTOM of the screen, not the top as in most apps! Maybe that is why you didn't see it.) there you can set actions for both shake & turn over, it is working fine on my phone.

Downloading !!!:good:
I'm on a 910f and have Flashed the latest release (21/11) yesterday, have to say...incredible rom! Everything works out of the box, quick flash guide: download rom, fix for non verizon users (910f/g), gapps, and in twrp flash in same order (rom, fix, gapps, yes you can add zip to flash all at once), reboot and you're done! fingerprint works, dpi scaling works incredibly well, gps works, data works, wifi works , bluetooth works, screen temperature settings, live display works(adapt color temperature depending on night , day, outdoor basis) , adaptive brightness works, total personalization of lockscreen, home, dpi scaling, grid size, swipe hand to wake when locked, wake when notification arrives, wake when pushing out of pocket, fast, no fc's (only 20 hours of testing to be honest), and op is updating continuosly to solve problems (yes bugs exists )
If you want a nougat rom, fast, light, reliable and to use as a daily driver give this one a chance
flash happily, live happily

The all mighty question : did someone try xposed? And if so has someone a working one?
No experience with xposed just yet. I want to give it some days to settle before i start tinkering...
Apart from some minor things (google camera not working, Assitant not remembering the voice profile) it's running really great. I flashed the cm14.1 optimizer on top for that pixel experience I must admit, that actually using 7.1 makes me really appreciate it. I thought it would be a minor update, but it feels really great and refined. I'm impressed, google.
Also, that inactivity display is epic. Doesn't wake the whole screen on notifications. I always liked that on moto phones. Plus, Doze finally seems to work properly. No problems getting whatsapp notifications yet. Lets see how it holds up.
