REVIEW: T511-S Fast Charge Wireless Charger by @Choetech - Galaxy Note5 Accessories

This is a brief review of Choetech T511-S Fast Charge Wireless Charger. This is very similar to the T513-S 3-Coils Fast Wireless Charger by Choetech that I recently reviewed as well.
This device has been provided to me in exchange for my honest opinions.
The main difference is really the shape.
T511-S is a bit larger and is a in the shape of a square. I actually prefer this model because there's a bit more size to it and that makes it easier to put the phone in place.
Aside from that, there's really no noticeable difference. Charge times remain about the same and zero to full will take between 1.5 - 2 hours.
Like the T513-S, the T511-S will charge pretty much any wireless charging enabled device, but only fast charge capable devices will take advantage of the fast charging.

Choetech Quick Charge 2.0 USB Car Charger

Great charger, works great with my Note 5 and has plenty of space of others to charge alongside it.
Choetech also was nice enough to allow me to test one of these charger for them.
I found it to be an excellent charger.
I have copied my review from amazon here for the fine folks here at XDA.
I will try to answer any questions you may have, just post up a reply or send me a PM.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a great little charger, and I do mean little.
The size actually surprised me a bit considering this is a 4 port charger.
I expected this to be a huge block sticking up from my 12v car port, but it actually is a nice small charger.
I have 2 port chargers that are bigger than this is, enough about that, on to the review.
Looking in the package you will find:
The Choetech 4 port Quick Charge 2.0 certified charger
3' USB cable
Instruction manual
The USB cable is one of the best ones I have received with a charger in a while.
It is not thin and flimsy like you usually get.
The charger itself is made of a nice gloss black plastic and looks and feels like it will hold up well to years of abuse in your vehicle.
This charger does support Qualcom Quick Charge 2.0, meaning that it will auto adjust voltages and amperage to best charge you compatible device as quick as possible.
In testing I found this charger to be able to charge my LG G4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in about the same time as my other Quick Charge 2.0 certified wall chargers.
This will also charger non Quick Charge 2.0 certified devices at the maximum rate they will allow.
I tested my LG G3 that is not Quick Charge 2.0 certified and will max out at 2.1a charge rate.
It got 2.0a charge rate from this charger which is great.
There is also a blue LED on this to help you find it easier in the dark.
The LED itself is dim as to not be distracting,
I have attached some pictures showing how small this charger is and me using it to charge multiple devices including 2 phones and a GPS unit.
I have had zero problems with this unit and am glad to have it.
I would recommend this to anyone with a car or truck and either multiple devices they need to use daily or a device that is Qualcom Quick Charge 2.0 certified.

I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review, this does not change my opinion of the product in any way.
I have to agree with the others, it's a solid product. Has 4 ports (idk why you'd need more than that! xD)
But nonetheless if you charge in the car this is something you should think about picking up.
My 2 cents:
It's pretty small. This thing packs a lot of power for its size.
It is scratch and finger print prone, but I plan on leaving this in the car all the time; so that doesn't really affect me.
The charging light changes color based upon normal charging (Blue) versus quick charging (Green)
Otherwise the guys above did a cool review.
I too received a discounted product for an honest review.
Cool... I could use 2 of those

S7E after market charger

Nothing wrong with the cheap stock charger that came with the phone.
When I had my P9000 (Elephone) I bought the following fast charger;
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B017VXARME/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Very good quality and it is compliant with the Galaxy charging 2.0 protocol.
As an added bonus the phone seems to stay colder when charging.
Not an essential but seems to work very well and looks much better.
You have a sleek phone now finish it off with a pretty charger
Anker makes great stuff, my whole family and myself use an Anker 60W PowerPort 6 charger that I have on my desk at all times. Plus it has universal voltage, so it'll work in any country even when I travel. Good to see more and more people using this stuff, it works wonders and charges literally every kind of device out there the same way official chargers do.

Fast Wireless Charger Review w/ Comparison: CHOETECH Fast Wireless Charging pad

I received this unit for the note 7 but with the unfortunate event, I had to test it with S7 Edge which, on paper, works exactly as same as S7 and note 7.
This thing charges very quick, I'll say faster than ordinary power banks or cheap 5v 1A adapters.
I'd like to do a comparison on charging speed (see images) on Galaxy S7 edge with LG G4 for this charging pad.
I was going to add note 7 on this review but with all this recall issues, I'd update as I go. IF I ever get my hands on it again
there are two LED indicators, green means fast wireless charge, and blue means ordinary wireless charge.
on S7 Edge, took about 25 - 30 min to go from 25% to 46% with cool temp (30 - 32C) , that's pretty good for wireless.
on LG G4, took about 25 - 30 min to go from 21% to 33% with warm temp (40C)
on S7 Edge, it outputs up to 1.5A with 4V on my quick charge 2.0 adapter.
on LG G4, it outputs just shy of 0.8A with 4V on my quick charge 2.0 adapter.
by comparing these two setups, I concluded that it charges close to twice as fast as regular charger. I am very impressed.
I also have CHOETECH's regular wireless charging puck. I have to say, the regular puck I have is easier to charge, meaning it tolerates slightly off center but still charges as well as offer greater charging distance off from the pad, but this fast charger doesn't tolerate much, I'd have to remember to position in center for it to charge my devices. but you'll get used to it as the LED indicator will flash if you didn't set your phone straight, solid light means good. also it works well with slim cases as you can see it on my attached images.
I would strongly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about getting fast wireless charging.

and this is the regular wireless charging puck I was talking about. blue LED works with ambient light, meaning it won't burn your eyes at night. it dims automatically.

I've got the black Samsung Wireless Charging Stand which comes with Samsung's fast travel charger. It's very fast and I use it with my SM-G935FD (Dual SIM S7 Edge Exynos). Comparing the times from the fast charger, the wireless stand is usually just 10-20 min slower. That's according to the estimate Samsung shows in the notification tray once you plug it in. Haven't measured the timings myself yet.
The temp goes around 35C to 38C during fast charging but if I leave it on the charger even after full charging, the charging stand stops charging but the battery temp stays at 32C. Off the charger, it will fall to 26C which was a little disappointing since I would have loved to leave the phone on the stand all day since it looks cool especially with the Always On display clock. I measured the battery temps with CPU-Z.
Charging speed is definitely faster than a normal charger plugged in.
Ebay must be 7.5watts and not 10watts

is it safe for our phone?

Any Good Fast Portable Batteries?

I dont think there is any portable batteries with dash charging support out there.
Are there any that charges just as good or are they do all non dash just charge regularly.
Got this here recently and does what it says: charging our phone with dash charge speeds. 20000mAH - I get five full charges out of it. The only drawbacks are the price and the weight (490g).

Unfortunately without dash charge your options are limited. I have this device:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0A70W6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Hi-Smart port works pretty well. I haven't measured it but compared to most basic USB chargers it is definitely faster. It's not dash charge but it will definitely give you some solid battery juice after 15 mins.

Question Compatible 15w wireless chargers?

Hi guys,
I've noticed Samsung S21 ultra supports 15w wireless charging - I was just wondering if all 15w wireless chargers were compatible? Or whether they specifically have to support "Samsung fast charge 2.0" - like the official chargers?
Wondering what others have bought? Let me know! Thanks!
I've been doing some research, I know that Samsung devices are supported by QC 3.0... but just wondered if this is true for wireless charging? Will generic 15w wireless chargers work? Would be much cheaper!
While generic 15w chargers will work, there are other factors that needs to be considered. Such as what kind of brick you are using with the charger and things like how thick the case you are using.
Sammy only have one 15w charger and that is OG stand. The other sammy fast wireless charger is 9w (input still requires 15w though)
Can't comment whether which 15w is reliable or not as they are 3rd party and varies from company to company.
A fair point. I guess if you use a QC 3.0 brick with at least 15w output - with a 15w wireless charging pad it should theoretically work then?
Be interesting to see which ones people find works for them!

Probably works but wireless charging is inefficient and needlessly raises the battery temp which is detrimental to its longevity in the long run.

An 8 W Samsung wireless charger does not heat up the S21 ultra more than the 15 W charger I have (this cames with my Note 9). I would think a 25 Watt charger would heat it up more. The reason I bought the wireless charger was for my Note 9 and now the S21 ultra is that my Note 9, despite considerable babying, is showing some issues with the socket (it often will show cable charging instead of fast charging and despite changing cables, cleaning out the socket with compressed air and a toothbrush etc). So yes, in general you are correct but socket wear must not be discounted.

I hear what you're saying about the port. I do a lot of partial midrange charges so 3-4 times a day isn't uncommon.
The biggest thing is not to hit/drop it when a cable is connected.
Battery or port assembly the phone needs to come apart...
I have a couple of these wireless chargers. Mine are an older version that don't have a USB plug at the charging pad (mine has a non-removable wire from the pad). I can't seem to find specs on their site now, but when I bought mine they claimed they were 15w. I only bought them for how they look. I personally don't care how fast they charge, I prefer slow charging for better battey life, I'll use wired chaging when I need something faster. I have fast wireless charging disabled on my phone. But I just checked it, if I enable it, it does say "fast wieless charging" on the sceen when I place it on the pad, and the time to full charge is a little quicker than with fast wireless charging disabled. Still not as fast as wired though.

So the best way to check this is to download Ampere!
Grab it from Google play store, install it, and then open it while you are charging the phone on different wireless pads.
You work out the Watts by using;
Amps x Voltage
Let me know how it goes!
