For some silly reason, all I want is for my status bar icons to have the more stock android look (see attached). I am on a 5.0.2 att deodexed ROM (hence no xposed). I've tried a layers app in the playstore to no avail. Modding the systemui is above my abilities. Does anyone have any insight to making this look?

When i was on the latest leak JB i used Darboc's transparent mods for statusbar transparency.
This mod came with a lock button (and some others) in the status bar.
Few days ago i flashed the official JB (deodexed EyBee's/Philz latest kernel) and the mod still works but is a bit outligned and a few icons are to big.
Afaik Ofeliax won't release a new version since he hasn't got the device anymore.
I've found the 'Xposed' way of turning my status bar transparent, but for the life of me i can't find a mod for that little lock icon and i miss it alot :crying:
Anybody here that can point me in the right direction?
Tx in advance!
its easy if you can decompile the sysui and add a few icons and code
Tx for your reply...but coding is beyond my noob knowledge
nevertheless...tx!
I'd like to change the transparent status bar to a solid one while in the lockscreen. (I've already modified the one in SystemUI, but this does not affect the lockscreen.) I've looked through the framework apks as well as in Idlescreen_Base, but cannot seem to find any other status bar image. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
Hi everybody,
I am using tinted status bar 1.8.5, and everything works fine excpet the battery icon. It just won't change the color, which remains white all the time.
I was wondering if any of you have the same problem as well, and how you get it fixed.
The version of my android is 4.4.2 stock firmware, and currently I am not using gravitybox, xblastools, etc.
Because for Tinted Status Bar 1.8.5 there is no compatible icons in your system to work with it. Simple like that.
Any Theme Modding need Root and other stuff so if your icons do not work on stock then you can't do nothing about it.

Sorry but I didn't quite get you here. I didn't used any theme modding for the battery icons, and all the others icons including signal, wifi are well tinted.

In your Stock unmodified Rom there is stock symbols in system, some of them probably are not compatible with Tinted Status Bar 1.8.5. If you check when you don't use it all is normal.
Hi guys, so apparently my status bar can't turn transparent in apps. Instead it defaults to a light grey, almost white which is extremely annoying to look at. Google maps for example always keeps the status bar white when I know that it should be transparent (or at least the default dark grey). Only on the home screen I can get a transparent status bar but not in apps, which I tested with various apps comparing to me tablet.
I thought first that it is an issue with an exposed module but I disabled all of them did a reboot and it still won't turn transparent.
I can make Screenshots or upload a video if you don't get what I'm saying
Must be your ROM or an Exposed module. My stock Z3C does not have that issue on 5.1.1.
But what could it be, I have disabled all xposed modules and I still get it...
Btw i'm on stock .232 (expect root and xposed).
Screenshot attached Btw.
(e) nevermind just updated the xposed framework to .75 and now I have transparency.
Case closed.
Most of us know about cyanogen mod ROMs and to be honest. They beat the band
But the procedure of flashing a custom ROM is sometimes dreadful
So I would like to share about a few Xposed framework modules which can help you transform into 5.0 here and now
Prerequisites----
Xposed installer
Flat style colored bars (pro)
Flat style notification bars (pro)
Monster UI
Download the following and enable them and reboot device
Open flat style colored bars and edit our status bar icons as per to your liking... I would prefer to edit them into the latest marshmallow or lollipop style
Open flat style status bars and tap status bar option
And choose lollipop in the overlay style dropbox
I would recommend you to discover the many uses of Monster UI yourself... Its a fun module and enables a hell lot of customization
