Can I port the official stock camera framework to aosp? - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to install aosp rom to my phone because of all of the stock passed issues. But I know that aosp roms have terrible camera framework, can I port the stock based one to aosp.
I see for some other Xperia phones they already did that.

[Q] Google Edition Roms

Hi Xda Forum
I was wondering will the google edition based roms ever have tweaks like cm10,aokp, etc with the stability of the stock google edition rom because in most aosp roms the front facing camera has a green tint and overall rom is not as stable also something like nfc don't work and the scrolling isnt as smooth
CM, AOKP and GE are all distinctly different ROMs and are unlikely to merge. So no, the GE editions ROMs will never be like CM or AOKP because then guess what... they'd be CM or AOKP!

I didn't ask if they would ever merge lol I asked if Google edition roms will ever get any kind of tweaks, aokp and cm were just examples of stock aosp roms with mods to the system.
Do you even bother to do 30 seconds research before asking stupid questions?
No need to be rude...but im aware of all of the GE ROMs out currently and none of them compare to the aosp roms out when it comes to customization that's what I'm looking for
I agree the AOSP based ROMs for HTC One (CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, etc.) are still pretty buggy. I'm seeing battery drain, Google sync problems, camera tint, and font rendering issues.
I think it's still a bit early for AOSP-based ROMs (builds compiled from source) for the HTC One. It doesn't help that Google and/or HTC haven't released all the needed source and binary blobs. So for now we have buggy builds from source, or more solid builds from the GE dumps but with far less customization.
There is one GE ROM you might try that offers a few more tweaks via a secondary flashable zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39184446&postcount=3

Stock ROM with the looks of AOSP ROM?

Some modifications made to the stock samsung rom makes it impossible to me to switch to AOSP roms, but I really would like to get rid of the touchwiz interface!
Are there any custom roms based on the Stock rom that has a ui similar to AOSP?
Try this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anddoes.launcher
Then add this to it

Is there a Sony Camera port that will work on Custom Roms?

Is there a Sony Camera port that will work on Custom Roms that is not based on Sony Stock Firmware? i want to try different roms but i need the sony camera..

stock based rom?

Hello i'd like to know why we "only" have cm or aosp based Rom. Nobody wants to build stock based Rom without bloatware and few tweak or is it a software issue?

GCam on stock kernel based ROM using AOSP camera blobs. Is it possible?

Hi,
I would like to ask if anyone tried to make AOSP camera blobs work on stock kernel based ROM on XZ1 Compact?
Is it possible? Are there any problematic points known in advance which I missed?
If I am not mistaken that would allow us to use GCam (Google Camera) on stock kernel based ROMs such as LineageOS 15.1/16.
I know currently those blobs are compiled against different kernel version (Sony stock - 4.4, Sony AOSP - 4.9) but for some time both used kernel 4.4.
Best regards
Has anyone used AOSP kenel version 4.4 based custom ROM with Google Camera (gcam)?
I wonder whether it would be possible to use AOSP camera blobs/drivers instead of stock ones in order to be able to use gcam with stock blobs/drivers based custom ROM (such as LineageOS 16.0).
Unfortunately, I don't have the XZ1 or XZ1 Compact to test it out by myself.
