SMS/MMS Blocker app??

Is there an app that can block/hold all MMS and SMS messages? Or a toggle switch app to turn off all notifications/led for MMS and SMS? I could of sworn I seen something like this before, it let you create profiles I think.

you can try SmartBlock by spbase inc.-(for both sms or call)
or my much prefered SmartSMS-(sms only)by cnemsolution.
both works well in blocking sms. But i didnt tried it if it will work on mms.

Yes and no. I did send him a email asking if he could add it or not.

SmartSMS isnt a replacement messenger is it?

Text message limit on xperia tl?

I have no reason to keep more than 200 text messages per conversation and I don't see a setting under message settings to set a limit. Is there any way to get to this setting? My phone is rooted if that helps. I did a search on these forums but didn't find anything. Thanks!

As much as I know, there is no way to get that setting on stock messaging app. Maybe there is some modded version of stock messaging app, that I don't know about...
You can get that on 3rd party apps, like GO SMS Pro, but then again, installing an 20MB app to get a message limit, it's just not worth it.

Texts not sending / receiving.

So recently, most of my texts haven't been sending /receiving. It's pretty random, and sometimes it works, but the last couple of days it's been really buggy.
Anything I should try?

What messaging app are you using? Have you altered the APN settings at all? Is it SMS? MMS? Both?

using the default SMS app. NO, haven't messed with anything.

Besides rebooting your device, you could call T-Mobile ask them about it. Could be a network problem

happens ALL the time for me in nyc over the last two months. what fixed it for the most part for me is switching to 2g/3g and forget LTE. :-/

Yeah it could just be a network problem. I was having issues the other night with MMS (serious lag and then a flood of incoming messages). Hope you can get it worked out!

SMS/MMS/Group Texts

Hey guys. I'm coming from a S7 so I will use that as a reference for what I'm trying to do.
On the S7 if I sent a text message to two or more people I can reply all in the same thread or had the option via a little check box to send the messages individually. However, when I send or receive a group message I'm getting individual messages.
It sucks because if someone sent me a group text I can't see who else they sent the message too. And if I can only reply to it individually not as a single thread.
I hope I explained this properly. Does anyone know if there is a setting I'm missing here or is this "feature" not supported on MIUI stock messenger app?

Total PITA but that's the way MIUI handles texts unfortunately. I have looked for a solution but haven't been able to find one...

This is really pissing me off! I even tried 3rd party apps like Google Messenger app but it simply couldn't send the message. Pretty damn annoyed right now

I'm with you...I tried editing APN's, multiple 3rd party apps, etc. and can't get a solution. It's one of the things I have to live with for the time being.

Yeah, it really sucks because I have a handful of co-workers and friends that I use the group text with and now I can't use it. It's nuts that it's not supported.
Like you, I tried messing with APN settings and 3rd party apps but to no avail. If you find a solution please let me know because I'm seriously annoyed right now

I seem to have it working on an app by app basis. It works best from the default messaging app, but I hope this is something that will be fixed in the future.

I found Textra to be the best workaround for this. It has some smarts to figure out the group messaging... better than others at least.

AT&T, and their suggested settings for NXTGENPHONE

TextNow is an awesome app I found that lets you make WiFi Calls and also text over WiFi and of course supports group text messaging.
However, you will have to choose a new # which is not really a huge deal. Just another option for you guys. Been using it for a couple days and it works great!
I will try Textra as well and see if it works.

Yes, it is. That is what I used for messaging now. TextNow is good for WiFi text and calls though.

Group texting issues

Anyone having issues with group texts? Mine all keep coming on separate I don't see any settings for group MMS in the message settings.

I'm only able to use the default messenger I can't switch default apps.

Anyone find a solution to this? I'm on RealmeUI, CN version and changing default messaging app lasts a few minutes before the pop-up notification that messaging is reverting to the default app.
